1 Si, pues, habéis resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.
2 Poned la mira en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.
6 Por tanto, de la manera que habéis recibido al Señor Jesucristo, andad en él;
7 arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fe, así como habéis sido enseñados, abundando en acciones de gracias.
8 Mirad que nadie os engañe por medio de filosofías y huecas sutilezas, según las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme a los rudimentos del mundo, y no según Cristo.
9 Porque en él habita corporalmente toda la plenitud de la Deidad,

1. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Leccion Sermon
1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra.
2 Y la tierra estaba desordenada y vacía, y las tinieblas estaban sobre la faz del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas.
3 Y dijo Dios: Sea la luz; y fue la luz.
4 Y vio Dios que la luz era buena; y separó Dios la luz de las tinieblas.
6 Luego dijo Dios: Haya expansión en medio de las aguas, y separe las aguas de las aguas.
8 Y llamó Dios a la expansión Cielos.

15 Guardaos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a vosotros con vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.
16 Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos, o higos de los abrojos?
17 Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.
18 No puede el buen árbol dar malos frutos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos.
19 Todo árbol que no da buen fruto, es cortado y echado en el fuego.
20 Así que, por sus frutos los conoceréis.
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
15 Entonces se fueron los fariseos y consultaron cómo sorprenderle en alguna palabra.
16 Y le enviaron los discípulos de ellos con los herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amante de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te cuidas de nadie, porque no miras la apariencia de los hombres.
17 Dinos, pues, qué te parece: ¿Es lícito dar tributo a César, o no?
18 Pero Jesús, conociendo la malicia de ellos, les dijo: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas?
19 Mostradme la moneda del tributo. Y ellos le presentaron un denario.
20 Entonces les dijo: ¿De quién es esta imagen, y la inscripción?
21 Le dijeron: De César. Y les dijo: Dad, pues, a César lo que es de César, y a Dios lo que es de Dios.
22 Oyendo esto, se maravillaron, y dejándole, se fueron.
15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Cæsar, or not?
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.
1 Amados, no creáis a todo espíritu, sino probad los espíritus si son de Dios; porque muchos falsos profetas han salido por el mundo.
2 En esto conoced el Espíritu de Dios: Todo espíritu que confiesa que Jesucristo ha venido en carne, es de Dios;
3 y todo espíritu que no confiesa que Jesucristo ha venido en carne, no es de Dios; y este es el espíritu del anticristo, el cual vosotros habéis oído que viene, y que ahora ya está en el mundo.
4 Hijitos, vosotros sois de Dios, y los habéis vencido; porque mayor es el que está en vosotros, que el que está en el mundo.
5 Ellos son del mundo; por eso hablan del mundo, y el mundo los oye.
6 Nosotros somos de Dios; el que conoce a Dios, nos oye; el que no es de Dios, no nos oye. En esto conocemos el espíritu de verdad y el espíritu de error.
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
La Verdad y el Amor iluminan a la comprensión, en cuya "luz veremos la luz"; y esa iluminación es reflejada espiritualmente por todos los que andan en la luz y se alejan de un falso concepto material.
Truth and Love enlighten the understanding, in whose "light shall we see light;" and this illumination is reflected spiritually by all who walk in the light and turn away from a false material sense.
La Ciencia del cristianismo viene con aventador en mano a separar la paja del trigo. La
Ciencia explicará correctamente a Dios, y el cristianismo demostrará esa explicación y su Principio divino, mejorando al género humano física, moral y espiritualmente.
The Science of Christianity comes with fan in hand to separate the chaff from the wheat. Science will declare God aright, and Christianity will demonstrate this declaration and its divine Principle, making mankind better physically, morally, and spiritually.
AVENTADOR. Lo que separa a la fábula de la realidad; lo que da acción al pensamiento.
EXPANSIÓN (FIRMAMENTO). Comprensión espiritual; la línea científica de demarcación entre la Verdad y el error, entre el Espíritu y la llamada materia.
Fan. Separator of fable from fact; that which gives action to thought.
Firmament. Spiritual understanding; the scientific line of demarcation between Truth and error, between Spirit and so-called matter.
Porque la Verdad es infinita, debe reconocerse que el error es nada. Porque la Verdad es omnipotente en bondad, el error, lo opuesto de la Verdad, no tiene poder. El mal no es sino el contrapeso de la nada. El mal más grande no es más que el opuesto hipotético del bien más elevado. La confianza inspirada por la Ciencia descansa en el hecho de que la Verdad es real y
el error es irreal. El error es un cobarde ante la Verdad. La Ciencia divina insiste en que el tiempo probará todo eso. Tanto la verdad como el error se han hecho más comprensibles que nunca a los mortales, y la verdad llegará a ser aún más clara, a medida que el error se destruya a sí mismo.
Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth's opposite, has no might. Evil is but the counterpoise of nothingness. The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right. The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal. Error is a coward before Truth. Divine Science insists that time will prove all this. Both truth and error have come nearer than ever before to the apprehension of mortals, and truth will become still clearer as error is self-destroyed.
La destrucción de las pretensiones de la mente mortal mediante la Ciencia, gracias a la cual el hombre puede escapar del pecado y de la mortalidad, bendice a toda la familia humana. Como en el comienzo, sin embargo, esa liberación no se manifiesta científicamente en el conocimiento de ambos, el bien y el mal, pues este último es irreal.
Por otra parte, la Ciencia de la Mente está completamente separada de todo conocimiento incompleto y no pertinente a ella, porque la Ciencia de la Mente es de Dios y demuestra el Principio divino, desarrollando solamente los designios del bien. El máximo del bien es el Dios infinito y Su idea, el Todo-en-todo. El mal es una mentira hipotética.
The destruction of the claims of mortal mind through Science, by which man can escape from sin and mortality, blesses the whole human family. As in the beginning, however, this liberation does not scientifically show itself in a knowledge of both good and evil, for the latter is unreal.
On the other hand, Mind-science is wholly separate from any half-way impertinent knowledge, because Mind-science is of God and demonstrates the divine Principle, working out the purposes of good only. The maximum of good is the infinite God and His idea, the All-in-all. Evil is a suppositional lie.
A veces se dice que la Ciencia Cristiana enseña que el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte son nada, y después enseña la manera de salvar y sanar esa nada. Es evidente que la nada es nada; pero necesitamos comprender que el error es nada, y que su nada no se salva, sino que tiene que ser demostrada a fin de probar que la Verdad es algo —sí, que es todo. Es evidente por sí mismo que somos armoniosos tan sólo cuando dejamos de manifestar el mal o la creencia de que sufrimos a causa de los pecados ajenos. No dar crédito al error destruye al error y conduce al discernimiento de la Verdad.
It is sometimes said that Christian Science teaches the nothingness of sin, sickness, and death, and then teaches how this nothingness is to be saved and healed. The nothingness of nothing is plain; but we need to understand that error is nothing, and that its nothingness is not saved, but must be demonstrated in order to prove the somethingness — yea, the allness — of Truth. It is self-evident that we are harmonious only as we cease to manifest evil or the belief that we suffer from the sins of others. Disbelief in error destroys error, and leads to the discernment of Truth.
Todo lo que sabemos correctamente acerca del Espíritu viene de Dios, el Principio divino, y se aprende mediante el Cristo y la Ciencia Cristiana. Si esa Ciencia se ha aprendido a fondo y asimilado debidamente, podemos conocer la verdad más exactamente de lo que puede el astrónomo leer las estrellas o calcular un eclipse. Leer la Mente así es lo opuesto de la clarividencia. Es la iluminación de la comprensión espiritual que demuestra la capacidad del Alma, no la del sentido material. Ese sentido del Alma viene a la mente humana cuando ésta se somete a la Mente divina.
Tales intuiciones revelan todo lo que constituye y perpetúa la armonía, capacitándonos para hacer el bien, pero no el mal. Alcanzaréis la Ciencia perfecta de la curación cuando seáis capaces de leer la mente humana de esa manera y percibir el error que queráis destruir.
All we correctly know of Spirit comes from God, divine Principle, and is learned through Christ and Christian Science. If this Science has been thoroughly learned and properly digested, we can know the truth more accurately than the astronomer can read the stars or calculate an eclipse. This Mind-reading is the opposite of clairvoyance. It is the illumination of the spiritual understanding which demonstrates the capacity of Soul, not of material sense. This Soul-sense comes to the human mind when the latter yields to the divine Mind.
Such intuitions reveal whatever constitutes and perpetuates harmony, enabling one to do good, but not evil. You will reach the perfect Science of healing when you are able to read the human mind after this manner and discern the error you would destroy.
Sostenemos la Verdad no aceptando una mentira, sino rechazándola.
Jesús dijo del mal personificado, que era "mentiroso, y padre de mentira". La Verdad no crea ni mentira, ni facultad de mentir, ni a un mentiroso. We sustain Truth, not by accepting, but by rejecting a lie.
Jesus said of personified evil, that it was "a liar, and the father of it." Truth creates neither a lie, a capacity to lie, nor a liar. If mankind would relinquish the belief that God makes sickness, sin, and death, or makes man capable of suffering on account of this malevolent triad, the foundations of error would be sapped and error's destruction ensured;
Querido lector, ¿cuál es el cuadro mental o pensamiento exteriorizado que será real para ti —el material o el espiritual? A ambos no puedes tener. Estás manifestando tu propio ideal. Ese ideal o es temporal o es eterno. O bien el Espíritu o la materia es tu modelo. Si tratas de tener dos modelos, entonces prácticamente no tienes ninguno. Cual péndulo de reloj, serás llevado de un lado a otro, golpeando los costados de la materia y oscilando entre lo real y lo irreal.
Dear reader, which mind-picture or externalized thought shall be real to you, — the material or the spiritual? Both you cannot have. You are bringing out your own ideal. This ideal is either temporal or eternal. Either Spirit or matter is your model. If you try to have two models, then you practically have none. Like a pendulum in a clock, you will be thrown back and forth, striking the ribs of matter and swinging between the real and the unreal.
La individualidad espiritual del hombre jamás yerra. Es la semejanza del Hacedor del hombre. La materia no puede relacionar a los mortales con el origen verdadero del ser, ni con los hechos verdaderos del ser, en los cuales todo ha de venir a parar. Sólo reconociendo la supremacía del Espíritu, que anula las pretensiones de la materia, pueden los mortales despojarse de la mortalidad y hallar el indisoluble vínculo espiritual que establece al hombre eternamente en la semejanza divina, inseparable de su creador.
Man's spiritual individuality is never wrong. It is the likeness of man's Maker. Matter cannot connect mortals with the true origin and facts of being, in which all must end. It is only by acknowledging the supremacy of Spirit, which annuls the claims of matter, that mortals can lay off mortality and find the indissoluble spiritual link which establishes man forever in the divine likeness, inseparable from his creator.
El Espíritu imparte la comprensión que eleva a la consciencia y conduce a toda la verdad. El Salmista dice: "Jehová en las alturas es más poderoso que el estruendo de las muchas aguas, más que las recias ondas del mar". El sentido espiritual es el discernimiento del bien espiritual. La comprensión es la línea de demarcación entre lo real y lo irreal. La comprensión espiritual revela a la Mente —Vida, Verdad y Amor— y demuestra al sentido divino, dando prueba espiritual del universo en la Ciencia Cristiana.
Esa comprensión no es intelectual, no es el resultado de logros eruditos; es la realidad de todas las cosas sacada a la luz. Las ideas de Dios reflejan lo inmortal, infalible e infinito. Lo mortal, lo errado y lo finito son creencias humanas, que se arrogan una tarea imposible para ellas, o sea la de discernir entre lo falso y lo verdadero. Objetos completamente diferentes del original no reflejan ese original. Por consiguiente, la materia, no siendo el reflejo del Espíritu, carece de entidad verdadera. La comprensión es una cualidad de Dios, una cualidad que separa a la Ciencia Cristiana de la suposición y hace que la Verdad sea definitiva.
Spirit imparts the understanding which uplifts consciousness and leads into all truth. The Psalmist saith: "The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea." Spiritual sense is the discernment of spiritual good. Understanding is the line of demarcation between the real and unreal. Spiritual understanding unfolds Mind, — Life, Truth, and Love, — and demonstrates the divine sense, giving the spiritual proof of the universe in Christian Science.
This understanding is not intellectual, is not the result of scholarly attainments; it is the reality of all things brought to light. God's ideas reflect the immortal, unerring, and infinite. The mortal, erring, and finite are human beliefs, which apportion to themselves a task impossible for them, that of distinguishing between the false and the true. Objects utterly unlike the original do not reflect that original. Therefore matter, not being the reflection of Spirit, has no real entity. Understanding is a quality of God, a quality which separates Christian Science from supposition and makes Truth final.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
