3. Inclinad vuestro oído, y venid a mí; oíd, y vivirá vuestra alma; y haré con vosotros pacto eterno.
6. Buscad a Jehová mientras puede ser hallado, llamadle en tanto que está cercano:
7. Deje el impío su camino, y el hombre inicuo sus pensamientos, y vuélvase a Jehová, el cual tendrá de él misericordia, y al Dios nuestro, el cual será amplio en perdonar.
8. Porque mis pensamientos no son vuestros pensamientos, ni vuestros caminos mis caminos, dijo Jehová.
9. Como son más altos los cielos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que vuestros caminos, y mis pensamientos más que vuestros pensamientos.
10. Porque como desciende de los cielos la lluvia y la nieve, y no vuelve allá, sino que riega la tierra, y la hace germinar y producir, y da semilla al que siembra, y pan al que come:
11. así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca; no volverá a mí vacía, sino que hará lo que yo quiero, y será prosperada en aquello para que la envié.
12. Porque con alegría saldréis, y con paz seréis vueltos.
3. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you.
6. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace.

23 Y recorrió Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
2 Y abriendo su boca les enseñaba, diciendo:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
8 … vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis.
33 Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.
8 ...your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
3 Entonces algunos de los escribas decían dentro de sí: Este blasfema.
4 Y conociendo Jesús los pensamientos de ellos, dijo: ¿Por qué pensáis mal en vuestros corazones?
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
22 Entonces fue traído a él un endemoniado, ciego y mudo; y le sanó, de tal manera que el ciego y mudo veía y hablaba.
23 Y toda la gente estaba atónita, y decía: ¿Será este aquel Hijo de David?
24 Mas los fariseos, al oírlo, decían: Este no echa fuera los demonios sino por Beelzebú, príncipe de los demonios.
25 Sabiendo Jesús los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado, y toda ciudad o casa dividida contra sí misma, no permanecerá:
26 Y si Satanás echa fuera a Satanás, contra sí mismo está dividido; ¿cómo, pues, permanecerá su reino?
28 Pero si yo por el Espíritu de Dios echo fuera los demonios, ciertamente ha llegado a vosotros el reino de Dios.
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
18 Y sucedió que unos hombres que traían en un lecho a un hombre que estaba paralítico:
20 Al ver él la fe de ellos, le dijo: Hombre, tus pecados te son perdonados.
21 Entonces los escribas y los fariseos comenzaron a cavilar, diciendo: ¿Quién es este que habla blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados sino solo Dios?
22 Jesús entonces, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, respondiendo les dijo: ¿Qué caviláis en vuestros corazones?
23 ¿Qué es más fácil, decir: Tus pecados te son perdonados, o decir: Levántate y anda?
24 Pues para que sepáis que el Hijo del Hombre tiene potestad en la tierra para perdonar pecados (dijo al paralítico): A ti te digo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y vete a tu casa.
25 Al instante, levantándose en presencia de ellos, y tomando el lecho en que estaba acostado, se fue a su casa, glorificando a Dios.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy:
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
1 Cuando, pues, el Señor entendió que los fariseos habían oído decir: Jesús hace y bautiza más discípulos que Juan,
3 salió de Judea, y se fue otra vez a Galilea.
4 Y le era necesario pasar por Samaria.
6 Y estaba allí el pozo de Jacob. Entonces Jesús, cansado del camino, se sentó así junto al pozo:
7 Vino una mujer de Samaria a sacar agua; y Jesús le dijo: Dame de beber.
9 La mujer samaritana le dijo: ¿Cómo tú, siendo judío, me pides a mí de beber, que soy mujer samaritana? Porque judíos y samaritanos no se tratan entre sí.
10 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: Si conocieras el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: Dame de beber; tú le pedirías, y él te daría agua viva.
11 La mujer le dijo: Señor, no tienes con qué sacarla, y el pozo es hondo. ¿De dónde, pues, tienes el agua viva?
12 ¿Acaso eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Jacob, que nos dio este pozo, del cual bebieron él, sus hijos y sus ganados?
13 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: Cualquiera que bebiere de esta agua, volverá a tener sed:
14 mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás; sino que el agua que yo le daré será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.
15 La mujer le dijo: Señor, dame esa agua, para que no tenga yo sed, ni venga aquí a sacarla.
16 Jesús le dijo: Ve, llama a tu marido, y ven acá.
17 Respondió la mujer y dijo: No tengo marido. Jesús le dijo: Bien has dicho: No tengo marido:
18 porque cinco maridos has tenido, y el que ahora tienes no es tu marido; esto has dicho con verdad.
19 Le dijo la mujer: Señor, me parece que tú eres profeta.
20 Nuestros padres adoraron en este monte, y vosotros decís que en Jerusalén es el lugar donde se debe adorar.
21 Jesús le dijo: Mujer, créeme, que la hora viene cuando ni en este monte ni en Jerusalén adoraréis al Padre.
23 Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren.
24 Dios es Espíritu; y los que le adoran, en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren.
25 Le dijo la mujer: Sé que ha de venir el Mesías, llamado el Cristo; cuando él venga nos declarará todas las cosas.
26 Jesús le dijo: Yo soy, el que habla contigo.
1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
3 He left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.
4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well:
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
5 Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús:
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
… hay una sola Mente, y esa Mente omnipotente y siempre presente es reflejada por el hombre y gobierna al universo entero. Aprenderéis que en la Ciencia Cristiana el primer deber es obedecer a Dios, tener una sola Mente, y amar al prójimo como a vosotros mismos.
...there is but one Mind, and this ever-present omnipotent Mind is reflected by man and governs the entire universe. You will learn that in Christian Science the first duty is to obey God, to have one Mind, and to love another as yourself.
La gran dificultad reside en la ignorancia de lo que es Dios. Dios, la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor hacen imperecedero al hombre. Debe reconocerse que la Mente inmortal, la cual gobierna todo, es suprema en el llamado reino físico, tanto como en el espiritual.
The great difficulty lies in ignorance of what God is. God, Life, Truth, and Love make man undying. Immortal Mind, governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual.
No hay sino un solo Yo, o Nosotros, un solo Principio divino, o Mente divina, que gobierna toda existencia; el hombre y la mujer, inalterados para siempre en sus caracteres individuales, … gobernados por un mismo Principio. Todos los objetos de la creación de Dios reflejan a una Mente única, y todo lo que no refleje a esa Mente única, es falso y erróneo, incluso la creencia de que la vida, la sustancia y la inteligencia son mentales y materiales a la vez.
There is but one I, or Us, but one divine Principle, or Mind, governing all existence; man and woman unchanged forever in their individual characters, ... governed by one Principle. All the objects of God's creation reflect one Mind, and whatever reflects not this one Mind, is false and erroneous, even the belief that life, substance, and intelligence are both mental and material.
La mente mortal afirma que la mente está subordinada al cuerpo, que el cuerpo se muere, que tiene que ser enterrado y descomponerse en polvo; pero la afirmación de la mente mortal no es verídica.
Mortal mind affirms that mind is subordinate to the body, that the body is dying, that it must be buried and decomposed into dust; but mortal mind's affirmation is not true.
Dios es más para un hombre que su creencia, y cuanto menos acreditamos a la materia o sus leyes, tanto más inmortalidad poseemos. La consciencia construye un cuerpo mejor cuando la fe en la materia se ha vencido. Corregid la creencia material con la comprensión espiritual, y el Espíritu os formará de nuevo. Jamás volveréis a tener otro temor que no sea el de ofender a Dios, y jamás creeréis que el corazón o cualquier otra parte del cuerpo os pueda destruir.
God is more to a man than his belief, and the less we acknowledge matter or its laws, the more immortality we possess. Consciousness constructs a better body when faith in matter has been conquered. Correct material belief by spiritual understanding, and Spirit will form you anew. You will never fear again except to offend God, and you will never believe that heart or any portion of the body can destroy you.
Conociendo la Ciencia de la creación, en la cual todo es la Mente y sus ideas, Jesús reprendió el pensamiento materialista de sus coterráneos diciendo: "Sabéis distinguir el aspecto del cielo, ¡mas las señales de los tiempos no podéis!" ¡Con mayor motivo deberíamos esforzarnos por comprender las ideas espirituales de Dios, que contemplar los objetos de los sentidos! Para discernir el ritmo del Espíritu y ser santo, el pensamiento tiene que ser puramente espiritual.
Knowing the Science of creation, in which all is Mind and its ideas, Jesus rebuked the material thought of his fellow-countrymen: "Ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" How much more should we seek to apprehend the spiritual ideas of God, than to dwell on the objects of sense! To discern the rhythm of Spirit and to be holy, thought must be purely spiritual.
El Cristo es la verdadera idea que proclama al bien, el divino mensaje de Dios a los hombres que habla a la consciencia humana. El Cristo es incorpóreo, espiritual —sí, la imagen y semejanza divina, que disipa las ilusiones de los sentidos; el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida, que sana a los enfermos y echa fuera males, y que destruye al pecado, a la enfermedad y a la muerte. Como dice Pablo: "Hay un solo Dios, y un solo mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre".
Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness. The Christ is incorporeal, spiritual, — yea, the divine image and likeness, dispelling the illusions of the senses; the Way, the Truth, and the Life, healing the sick and casting out evils, destroying sin, disease, and death. As Paul says: "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
Dios crea y gobierna el universo, incluso el hombre. El universo está lleno de ideas espirituales, que Dios desarrolla, y éstas obedecen a la Mente que las crea. …Los mortales no son como los inmortales, creados a imagen de Dios; pero siendo el Espíritu infinito todo, la consciencia mortal se someterá finalmente a la realidad científica y desaparecerá, y el verdadero concepto del ser, perfecto y eternamente intacto, aparecerá.
God creates and governs the universe, including man. The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them. ... Mortals are not like immortals, created in God's own image; but infinite Spirit being all, mortal consciousness will at last yield to the scientific fact and disappear, and the real sense of being, perfect and forever intact, will appear.
¿Cómo pueden distinguirse las ideas verdaderas de las ilusiones? Averiguando el origen de ambas. Las ideas son emanaciones de la Mente divina. Los pensamientos, los cuales proceden del cerebro o de la materia, son vástagos de la mente mortal, son creencias mortales y materiales. Las ideas son espirituales, armoniosas y eternas.
How are veritable ideas to be distinguished from illusions? By learning the origin of each. Ideas are emanations from the divine Mind. Thoughts, proceeding from the brain or from matter, are offshoots of mortal mind; they are mortal material beliefs. Ideas are spiritual, harmonious, and eternal.
Nuestro Maestro leía fácilmente los pensamientos de los hombres, y ese discernimiento era lo que más lo capacitaba para dirigir correctamente esos pensamientos; pero ¿qué se diría en esta época de un blasfemador infiel que insinuara que Jesús usaba su poder incisivo para dañar? Nuestro Maestro leía la mente mortal sobre una base científica, la de la omnipresencia de la Mente. Una aproximación a esa percepción demuestra adelanto espiritual y unión con las capacidades infinitas de la Mente única.
Our Master easily read the thoughts of mankind, and this insight better enabled him to direct those thoughts aright; ... Our Master read mortal mind on a scientific basis, that of the omnipresence of Mind. An approximation of this discernment indicates spiritual growth and union with the infinite capacities of the one Mind.
El efecto de su Mente era siempre el de curar y salvar, y ésta es la única Ciencia genuina de leer la mente mortal. … Pablo dijo: "El ocuparse del Espíritu es vida". Nos acercamos a Dios, o la Vida, en proporción a nuestra espiritualidad, a nuestra fidelidad a la Verdad y el Amor; y en esa misma proporción conocemos toda necesidad humana y podemos percibir el pensamiento del enfermo y del pecador con el propósito de sanarlos. Ninguna clase de error puede ocultarse de la ley de Dios.
The effect of his Mind was always to heal and to save, and this is the only genuine Science of reading mortal mind. ... Paul said, "To be spiritually minded is life." We approach God, or Life, in proportion to our spirituality, our fidelity to Truth and Love; and in that ratio we know all human need and are able to discern the thought of the sick and the sinning for the purpose of healing them. Error of any kind cannot hide from the law of God.
Leer la Mente así es lo opuesto de la clarividencia. Es la iluminación de la comprensión espiritual que demuestra la capacidad del Alma, no la del sentido material. Ese sentido del Alma viene a la mente humana cuando ésta se somete a la Mente divina.
Tales intuiciones revelan todo lo que constituye y perpetúa la armonía, capacitándonos para hacer el bien, pero no el mal. Alcanzaréis la Ciencia perfecta de la curación cuando seáis capaces de leer la mente humana de esa manera y percibir el error que queráis destruir. La samaritana dijo: "Venid, ved a un hombre que me ha dicho todo cuanto he hecho. ¿No será éste el Cristo?"
Está escrito que Jesús en cierta ocasión en que viajaba con sus discípulos supo "los pensamientos de ellos" —los leyó científicamente. De igual manera discernía la enfermedad y sanaba a los enfermos.
This Mind-reading is the opposite of clairvoyance. It is the illumination of the spiritual understanding which demonstrates the capacity of Soul, not of material sense. This Soul-sense comes to the human mind when the latter yields to the divine Mind.
Such intuitions reveal whatever constitutes and perpetuates harmony, enabling one to do good, but not evil. You will reach the perfect Science of healing when you are able to read the human mind after this manner and discern the error you would destroy. The Samaritan woman said: "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?"
It is recorded that Jesus, as he once journeyed with his students, "knew their thoughts," — read them scientifically. In like manner he discerned disease and healed the sick.
Estad conscientes por un solo momento de que la Vida y la inteligencia son puramente espirituales —que no están en la materia ni proceden de ella— y el cuerpo no proferirá entonces ninguna queja. Si estáis sufriendo a causa de una creencia en la enfermedad, os encontraréis bien repentinamente. El pesar se convierte en gozo cuando el cuerpo está gobernado por la Vida, por la Verdad y por el Amor espirituales.
Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual, — neither in nor of matter, — and the body will then utter no complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well. Sorrow is turned into joy when the body is controlled by spiritual Life, Truth, and Love.
El hombre, gobernado por su Hacedor, no teniendo otra Mente —plantado en la afirmación del Evangelista de que "todas las cosas por Él [el Verbo de Dios] fueron hechas, y sin Él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho"— puede triunfar sobre el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte.
Man, governed by his Maker, having no other Mind, — planted on the Evangelist's statement that "all things were made by Him [the Word of God]; and without Him was not anything made that was made," — can triumph over sin, sickness, and death.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
