“Porque hay un solo Dios, y un solo mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre.”
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
1. He aquí mi siervo, yo le sostendré; mi escogido, en quien mi alma tiene contentamiento; he puesto sobre él mi Espíritu; él traerá justicia a las naciones.
2. No gritará, ni alzará su voz, ni la hará oír en las calles.
3. No quebrará la caña cascada, ni apagará el pábilo que humeare; por medio de la verdad traerá justicia.
4. No se cansará ni desmayará, hasta que establezca en la tierra justicia; y las costas esperarán su ley.
5. Así dice Jehová Dios, Creador de los cielos, y el que los despliega; el que extiende la tierra y sus productos; el que da aliento al pueblo que mora sobre ella, y espíritu a los que por ella andan:
6. Yo Jehová te he llamado en justicia, y te sostendré por la mano; te guardaré y te pondré por pacto al pueblo, por luz de las naciones;
7. para que abras los ojos de los ciegos, para que saques de la cárcel a los presos.

1. Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5. Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6. I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

9 Aconteció en aquellos días, que Jesús vino de Nazaret de Galilea, y fue bautizado por Juan en el Jordán.
10 Y luego, cuando subía del agua, vio abrirse los cielos, y al Espíritu como paloma que descendía sobre él:
11 Y vino una voz de los cielos que decía: Tú eres mi Hijo amado; en ti tengo complacencia.

9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
14 Y Jesús volvió en el poder del Espíritu a Galilea, y se difundió su fama por toda la tierra de alrededor.
15 Y enseñaba en las sinagogas de ellos, y era glorificado por todos.
16 Vino a Nazaret, donde se había criado; y en el día de reposo entró en la sinagoga, conforme a su costumbre, y se levantó a leer.
17 Y se le dio el libro del profeta Isaías; y habiendo abierto el libro, halló el lugar donde estaba escrito,

14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
30 Y dos ciegos que estaban sentados junto al camino, cuando oyeron que Jesús pasaba, clamaron, diciendo: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros!
31 Y la gente les reprendió para que callasen; pero ellos clamaban más, diciendo: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros!
32 Y deteniéndose Jesús, los llamó, y les dijo: ¿Qué queréis que os haga?
33 Ellos le dijeron: Señor, que sean abiertos nuestros ojos.

30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
34 Y salió Jesús y vio una gran multitud, y tuvo compasión de ellos, porque eran como ovejas que no tenían pastor; y comenzó a enseñarles muchas cosas.
35 Cuando ya era muy avanzada la hora, sus discípulos se acercaron a él, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y la hora ya muy avanzada.
36 Despídelos para que vayan a los campos y aldeas de alrededor, y compren pan, pues no tienen qué comer.
37 Respondiendo él, les dijo: Dadles vosotros de comer. Ellos le dijeron: ¿Que vayamos y compremos pan por doscientos denarios, y les demos de comer?
38 Él les dijo: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Id y vedlo. Y al saberlo, dijeron: Cinco, y dos peces.
39 Y les mandó que hiciesen recostar a todos por grupos sobre la hierba verde.
41 Entonces tomó los cinco panes y los dos peces, y levantando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió los panes, y dio a sus discípulos para que los pusiesen delante; y repartió los dos peces entre todos.
42 Y comieron todos, y se saciaron.
43 Y recogieron de los pedazos doce cestas llenas, y de lo que sobró de los peces.
44 Y los que comieron eran cinco mil hombres.
34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

12 Cuando llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que llevaban a enterrar a un difunto, hijo único de su madre, la cual era viuda:
13 Y cuando el Señor la vio, se compadeció de ella, y le dijo: No llores.
14 Y acercándose, tocó el féretro; y los que lo llevaban se detuvieron. Y dijo: Joven, a ti te digo, levántate.
15 Entonces se incorporó el que había muerto, y comenzó a hablar. Y lo dio a su madre.
16 Y todos tuvieron miedo, y glorificaban a Dios, diciendo: Un gran profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros; y: Dios ha visitado a su pueblo.
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain;
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow:
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
8 Felipe le dijo: Señor, muéstranos el Padre, y nos basta.
9 Jesús le dijo: ¿Tanto tiempo hace que estoy con vosotros, y no me has conocido, Felipe? El que me ha visto a mí, ha visto al Padre; ¿cómo, pues, dices tú: Muéstranos el Padre?
10 ¿No crees que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí? Las palabras que yo os hablo, no las hablo por mi propia cuenta, sino que el Padre que mora en mí, él hace las obras.
11 Creedme que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí; de otra manera, creedme por las mismas obras.
12 De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores hará, porque yo voy al Padre.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
1 Estas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora ha llegado; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti:
2 como le has dado potestad sobre toda carne, para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le diste.
3 Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.
20 Mas no ruego solamente por estos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos;
21 para que todos sean uno;
26 Y les he dado a conocer tu nombre, y lo daré a conocer aún, para que el amor con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one;
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Jesús de Nazaret enseñó y demostró la unidad del hombre con el Padre, y por eso le debemos homenaje eterno. Su misión fue a la vez individual y colectiva. Él hizo bien la obra de la vida, no sólo en justicia para consigo mismo, sino por misericordia para con los mortales —para enseñarles a hacerla ellos mismos pero no para hacerla por ellos ni para eximirlos de una sola responsabilidad.
Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage. His mission was both individual and collective. He did life's work aright not only in justice to himself, but in mercy to mortals, — to show them how to do theirs, but not to do it for them nor to relieve them of a single responsibility.
Jesús ayudó a reconciliar al hombre con Dios dando al hombre un concepto más verdadero del Amor, el Principio divino de las enseñanzas de Jesús, y ese concepto más verdadero del Amor redime al hombre de la ley de la materia, del pecado y de la muerte, por la ley del Espíritu —la ley del Amor divino.
Jesus aided in reconciling man to God by giving man a truer sense of Love, the divine Principle of Jesus' teachings, and this truer sense of Love redeems man from the law of matter, sin, and death by the law of Spirit, — the law of divine Love.
Jesús era hijo de una virgen. Fue designado para dar expresión a la palabra de Dios y para aparecer a los mortales en una forma de humanidad que pudieran comprender así como percibir. María le concibió espiritualmente, pues sólo la pureza podía reflejar la Verdad y el Amor, que estaban tan evidentemente encarnados en el bueno y puro Cristo Jesús. Él expresó el modelo más elevado de la divinidad que forma carnal alguna podía expresar en aquella época. El elemento carnal no puede penetrar en el hombre real e ideal. Así es que el Cristo ejemplifica la coincidencia, o el acuerdo espiritual, entre Dios y el hombre a Su imagen.
Jesus was the son of a virgin. He was appointed to speak God's word and to appear to mortals in such a form of humanity as they could understand as well as perceive. Mary's conception of him was spiritual, for only purity could reflect Truth and Love, which were plainly incarnate in the good and pure Christ Jesus. He expressed the highest type of divinity, which a fleshly form could express in that age. Into the real and ideal man the fleshly element cannot enter. Thus it is that Christ illustrates the coincidence, or spiritual agreement, between God and man in His image.
Cristo no es tanto un nombre como el título divino de Jesús. Cristo expresa la naturaleza espiritual y eterna de Dios. El nombre es sinónimo de Mesías y alude a la espiritualidad que es enseñada, ilustrada y demostrada en la vida de la cual Cristo Jesús era la encarnación.
Christ is not a name so much as the divine title of Jesus. Christ expresses God's spiritual, eternal nature. The name is synonymous with Messiah, and alludes to the spirituality which is taught, illustrated, and demonstrated in the life of which Christ Jesus was the embodiment.
Jesús enseñó un único Dios, un Espíritu único, que hace al hombre a imagen y semejanza de Sí mismo —del Espíritu, no de la materia. El hombre refleja la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor infinitos. La naturaleza del hombre, así comprendida, incluye todo lo que está implícito en los vocablos "imagen" y "semejanza", como se usan en las Escrituras.
Jesus taught but one God, one Spirit, who makes man in the image and likeness of Himself, — of Spirit, not of matter. Man reflects infinite Truth, Life, and Love. The nature of man, thus understood, includes all that is implied by the terms "image" and "likeness" as used in Scripture.
La vida de Jesús probó de una manera divina y científica que Dios es Amor, mientras que sacerdote y rabino afirmaron que Dios es un gran potentado, que ama y odia. La teología judaica no dio ninguna indicación del amor invariable de Dios.
Jesus' life proved, divinely and scientifically, that God is Love, whereas priest and rabbi affirmed God to be a mighty potentate, who loves and hates. The Jewish theology gave no hint of the unchanging love of God.
Jesús enseñó el camino de la Vida por medio de la demostración, para que pudiéramos comprender cómo ese Principio divino sana enfermos, echa fuera el error y triunfa sobre la muerte. Jesús presentó el ideal de Dios mejor de lo que podría haberlo hecho cualquier hombre cuyo origen fuera menos espiritual. Por su obediencia a Dios, demostró más espiritualmente que todos los demás el Principio del ser.
Aunque demostraba su dominio sobre el pecado y la enfermedad, el gran Maestro de ningún modo eximió a los demás de que por sí mismos dieran las pruebas indispensables de piedad. Trabajó para guiarles, a fin de que pudiesen demostrar ese poder como él lo demostró y comprender el Principio divino de ese poder.
Jesus taught the way of Life by demonstration, that we may understand how this divine Principle heals the sick, casts out error, and triumphs over death. Jesus presented the ideal of God better than could any man whose origin was less spiritual. By his obedience to God, he demonstrated more spiritually than all others the Principle of being.
Though demonstrating his control over sin and disease, the great Teacher by no means relieved others from giving the requisite proofs of their own piety. He worked for their guidance, that they might demonstrate this power as he did and understand its divine Principle.
Su misión fue revelar la Ciencia del ser celestial, probar lo que Dios es y lo que hace por el hombre.
La enseñanza y la práctica de la Verdad por parte de Jesús implicaban tal sacrificio que nos obliga a admitir que el Principio de ambas era el Amor. Eso fue el precioso significado de la carrera impecable de nuestro Maestro y de su demostración de poder sobre la muerte. Probó con sus obras que la Ciencia Cristiana destruye la enfermedad, el pecado y la muerte.
His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man.
Jesus' teaching and practice of Truth involved such a sacrifice as makes us admit its Principle to be Love. This was the precious import of our Master's sinless career and of his demonstration of power over death. He proved by his deeds that Christian Science destroys sickness, sin, and death.
Jesús envió un mensaje a Juan el Bautista, cuyo objeto era probar fuera de toda duda que el Cristo había venido: "Id, haced saber a Juan lo que habéis visto y oído: los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos son resucitados, y a los pobres es anunciado el evangelio". En otras palabras: Decid a Juan lo que es la demostración del poder divino, y en seguida percibirá que Dios es el poder en la obra mesiánica.
Jesus sent a message to John the Baptist, which was intended to prove beyond a question that the Christ had come: "Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached." In other words: Tell John what the demonstration of divine power is, and he will at once perceive that God is the power in the Messianic work.
El cristianismo como Jesús lo enseñó no era un credo ni un sistema de ceremonias ni un don especial de un Jehová ritualista; sino que era la demostración del Amor divino expulsando al error y sanando a los enfermos, no meramente en el nombre de Cristo, o la Verdad, sino en demostración de la Verdad, como tiene que ser en los ciclos de la luz divina.
Jesús estableció su iglesia y mantuvo su misión sobre la base espiritual de la curación mediante el Cristo. Enseñó a sus seguidores que su religión tenía un Principio divino que podía expulsar al error y sanar tanto al enfermo como al pecador. No pretendió tener inteligencia, acción, ni vida separadas de Dios. A pesar de la persecución que eso le ocasionó, utilizó su poder divino para salvar a los hombres tanto corporal como espiritualmente.
Christianity as Jesus taught it was not a creed, nor a system of ceremonies, nor a special gift from a ritualistic Jehovah; but it was the demonstration of divine Love casting out error and healing the sick, not merely in the name of Christ, or Truth, but in demonstration of Truth, as must be the case in the cycles of divine light.
Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught his followers that his religion had a divine Principle, which would cast out error and heal both the sick and the sinning. He claimed no intelligence, action, nor life separate from God. Despite the persecution this brought upon him, he used his divine power to save men both bodily and spiritually.
Jesús demostró el poder de la Ciencia Cristiana para sanar mentes y cuerpos mortales. Pero ese poder fue perdido de vista y de nuevo tiene que ser percibido, enseñado y demostrado espiritualmente, de acuerdo con el mandato de Cristo y "con las señales que lo siguen". La Ciencia de ese poder tiene que ser comprendida por todos aquellos que creen en Cristo y comprenden espiritualmente la Verdad.
Jesus demonstrated the power of Christian Science to heal mortal minds and bodies. But this power was lost sight of, and must again be spiritually discerned, taught, and demonstrated according to Christ's command, with "signs following." Its Science must be apprehended by as many as believe on Christ and spiritually understand Truth.
¿No es una especie de infidelidad creer que una obra tan grande como la del Mesías fue hecha en beneficio propio o en el de Dios, quien no necesitaba la ayuda del ejemplo de Jesús para preservar la armonía eterna? Pero los mortales sí necesitaban esa ayuda, y Jesús les señaló el camino. El Amor divino siempre ha respondido y siempre responderá a toda necesidad humana. No está bien imaginarse que Jesús demostró el poder divino sanador sólo en beneficio de un número selecto o de un tiempo limitado, puesto que a la humanidad entera y a toda hora el Amor divino suministra todo el bien.
Is it not a species of infidelity to believe that so great a work as the Messiah's was done for himself or for God, who needed no help from Jesus' example to preserve the eternal harmony? But mortals did need this help, and Jesus pointed the way for them. Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good.
Refiriéndose a los hijos de Dios, no a los hijos de los hombres, Jesús dijo: "El reino de Dios está entre vosotros"; esto es, la Verdad y el Amor reinan en el hombre verdadero, mostrando que el hombre a imagen de Dios no ha caído y es eterno. Jesús veía en la Ciencia al hombre perfecto, que aparecía a él donde el hombre mortal y pecador aparece a los mortales. En ese hombre perfecto el Salvador veía la semejanza misma de Dios, y esa manera correcta de ver al hombre sanaba a los enfermos. Así Jesús enseñó que el reino de Dios está intacto, que es universal y que el hombre es puro y santo.
When speaking of God's children, not the children of men, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you;" that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God's image is unfallen and eternal. Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
