2. Por tanto, no temeremos, aunque la tierra sea removida, Y se traspasen los montes al corazón del mar;
3. Aunque bramen y se turben sus aguas, Y tiemblen los montes a causa de su braveza.
4. Del río sus corrientes alegran la ciudad de Dios, El santuario de las moradas del Altísimo.
5. Dios está en medio de ella; no será conmovida. Dios la ayudará al clarear la mañana.
6. Bramaron las naciones, titubearon los reinos; Dio él su voz, se derritió la tierra.
10. Estad quietos, y conoced que yo soy Dios; Seré exaltado entre las naciones; enaltecido seré en la tierra.
2. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
4. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
10. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

23 Amad a Jehová, todos vosotros sus santos; A los fieles guarda Jehová,
23 O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful,
3 Fortaleced las manos cansadas, afirmad las rodillas endebles.
4 Decid a los de corazón apocado: Esforzaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con retribución, con pago; Dios mismo vendrá, y os salvará.
5 Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.
10 Y los redimidos de Jehová volverán, y vendrán a Sion con alegría; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
12 Por eso pues, ahora, dice Jehová, convertíos a mí con todo vuestro corazón, con ayuno y lloro y lamento:
13 Rasgad vuestro corazón, y no vuestros vestidos, y convertíos a Jehová vuestro Dios; porque misericordioso es y clemente, tardo para la ira y grande en misericordia, y que se duele del castigo.
25 Y os restituiré los años que comió la oruga,
26 Comeréis hasta saciaros, y alabaréis el nombre de Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual hizo maravillas con vosotros:
32 Y todo aquel que invocare el nombre de Jehová será salvo; porque en el monte de Sion y en Jerusalén habrá salvación, como ha dicho Jehová, y entre el remanente al cual él habrá llamado.
12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten,
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you:
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
8 Aconteció también que un día pasaba Eliseo por Sunem; y había allí una mujer importante, que le invitaba insistentemente a que comiese.
9 Y ella dijo a su marido: He aquí ahora, yo entiendo que este que siempre pasa por nuestra casa, es varón santo de Dios,
10 Yo te ruego que hagamos un pequeño aposento de paredes, … para que cuando él viniere a nosotros, se quede en él.
11 Y aconteció que un día vino él por allí, y se quedó en aquel aposento, y allí durmió.
12 Entonces dijo a Giezi su criado,
14 ¿Qué, pues, haremos por ella? Y Giezi respondió: He aquí que ella no tiene hijo, y su marido es viejo.
15 Y él la llamó, y ella se paró a la puerta.
16 Y él le dijo: El año que viene, por este tiempo, abrazarás un hijo.
17 Mas la mujer concibió, y dio a luz un hijo el año siguiente, en el tiempo que Eliseo le había dicho.
18 Y el niño creció. Pero aconteció un día, que vino a su padre, que estaba con los segadores.
19 y dijo a su padre: ¡Ay, mi cabeza, mi cabeza! Y el padre dijo a un criado: Llévalo a su madre.
20 Y habiéndole él tomado y traído a su madre, estuvo sentado en sus rodillas hasta el mediodía, y murió.
21 Ella entonces subió, y lo puso sobre la cama del varón de Dios, y cerrando la puerta, se salió.
25 Partió, pues, y vino al varón de Dios, al monte Carmelo. … dijo a su criado Giezi,
26 Te ruego que vayas ahora corriendo a recibirla, y le digas: ¿Te va bien a ti? ¿Le va bien a tu marido, y a tu hijo? Y ella dijo: Bien.
30 Y dijo la madre del niño: Vive Jehová, y vive tu alma, que no te dejaré. Él entonces se levantó y la siguió.
32 Y venido Eliseo a la casa, he aquí que el niño estaba muerto tendido sobre su cama.
33 Entrando él entonces, cerró la puerta tras ambos, y oró a Jehová.
34 … así se tendió sobre él, y el cuerpo del niño entró en calor.
35 … y el niño estornudó siete veces, y abrió sus ojos.
37 Y así que ella entró, se echó a sus pies, y se inclinó a tierra; y después tomó a su hijo, y salió.
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God,
10 Let us make a little chamber, … and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
12 And he said to Gehazi his servant,
14 What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
15 And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son.
17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
18 And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. … he said to Gehazi his servant,
26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.
30 And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord.
34 …and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
35 …and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

1 Habló Eliseo a aquella mujer a cuyo hijo él había hecho vivir, diciendo: Levántate, vete tú y toda tu casa a vivir donde puedas; porque Jehová ha llamado el hambre, la cual vendrá sobre la tierra por siete años.
2 Entonces la mujer se levantó, e hizo como el varón de Dios le dijo; y se fue ella con su familia, y vivió en tierra de los filisteos siete años.
3 Y cuando habían pasado los siete años, la mujer volvió de la tierra de los filisteos; después salió para implorar al rey por su casa y por sus tierras.
4 Y había el rey hablado con Giezi, criado del varón de Dios, diciéndole: Te ruego que me cuentes todas las maravillas que ha hecho Eliseo.
5 Y mientras él estaba contando al rey cómo había hecho vivir a un muerto, he aquí que la mujer, a cuyo hijo él había hecho vivir, vino para implorar al rey por su casa y por sus tierras. Entonces dijo Giezi: Rey señor mío, esta es la mujer, y este es su hijo, al cual Eliseo hizo vivir.
6 Entonces el rey ordenó a un oficial, al cual dijo: Hazle devolver todas las cosas que eran suyas, y todos los frutos de sus tierras desde el día que dejó el país hasta ahora.
1 Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the Lord hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
2 And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
3 And it came to pass at the seven years’ end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
4 And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
6 So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
14 Con justicia serás adornada; estarás lejos de opresión, porque no temerás, y de temor, porque no se acercará a ti.
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
En la Ciencia divina, el hombre es sostenido por Dios, el Principio divino del ser.
In divine Science, man is sustained by God, the divine Principle of being.
Desde el comienzo hasta el fin, las Escrituras están llenas de relatos del triunfo del Espíritu, la Mente, sobre la materia. Moisés probó el poder de la Mente mediante lo que los hombres llamaron milagros; igual hicieron Josué, Elías y Elíseo. La era cristiana fue introducida por señales y prodigios.
From beginning to end, the Scriptures are full of accounts of the triumph of Spirit, Mind, over matter. Moses proved the power of Mind by what men called miracles; so did Joshua, Elijah, and Elisha. The Christian era was ushered in with signs and wonders.
Amor divino siempre ha respondido y siempre responderá a toda necesidad humana. No está bien imaginarse que Jesús demostró el poder divino sanador sólo en beneficio de un número selecto o de un tiempo limitado, puesto que a la humanidad entera y a toda hora el Amor divino suministra todo el bien.
El milagro de la gracia no es milagro para el Amor. Jesús demostró la incapacidad de la corporeidad, como también la capacidad infinita del Espíritu, ayudando así al errado sentido humano a huir de sus propias convicciones y a buscar seguridad en la Ciencia divina.
Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good.
The miracle of grace is no miracle to Love. Jesus demonstrated the inability of corporeality, as well as the infinite ability of Spirit, thus helping erring human sense to flee from its own convictions and seek safety in divine Science.
Refiriéndose a los hijos de Dios, no a los hijos de los hombres, Jesús dijo: "El reino de Dios está entre vosotros"; esto es, la Verdad y el Amor reinan en el hombre verdadero, mostrando que el hombre a imagen de Dios no ha caído y es eterno. Jesús veía en la Ciencia al hombre perfecto, que aparecía a él donde el hombre mortal y pecador aparece a los mortales. En ese hombre perfecto el Salvador veía la semejanza misma de Dios, y esa manera correcta de ver al hombre sanaba a los enfermos. Así Jesús enseñó que el reino de Dios está intacto, que es universal y que el hombre es puro y santo.
When speaking of God's children, not the children of men, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you;" that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God's image is unfallen and eternal. Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.
Las relaciones entre Dios y el hombre, el Principio no y la idea divina, son indestructibles en la Ciencia; y la Ciencia no conoce ningún alejamiento de la armonía ni retorno a ella, sino mantiene que el orden divino o ley espiritual, en que Dios y todo lo que es creado por Él son perfectos y eternos, ha permanecido inalterado en su historia eterna.
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
Las verdades de la Ciencia divina debieran admitirse — aun cuando la evidencia respecto a esas verdades no estuviera apoyada por el mal, la materia o los sentidos materiales— porque la evidencia de que Dios y el hombre coexisten está plenamente sostenida por el sentido espiritual. El hombre es, y eternamente ha sido, el reflejo de Dios. Dios es infinito, por lo tanto siempre presente, y no hay otro poder ni otra presencia. Por consiguiente, la espiritualidad del universo es la única realidad de la creación. "Sea Dios veraz, y todo hombre [material] mentiroso".
The facts of divine Science should be admitted, — although the evidence as to these facts is not supported by evil, by matter, or by material sense, — because the evidence that God and man coexist is fully sustained by spiritual sense. Man is, and forever has been, God's reflection. God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence. Hence the spirituality of the universe is the only fact of creation. "Let God be true, but every [material] man a liar."
Una vez destruida por la Ciencia divina, desaparece la falsa evidencia ante los sentidos corporales. De ahí la oposición del hombre sensual a la Ciencia del Alma y el significado de la frase bíblica: "Los designios de la carne son enemistad contra Dios". El hecho central presentado por la Biblia es la superioridad del poder espiritual sobre el poder físico.
When once destroyed by divine Science, the false evidence before the corporeal senses disappears. Hence the opposition of sensuous man to the Science of Soul and the significance of the Scripture, "The carnal mind is enmity against God." The central fact of the Bible is the superiority of spiritual over physical power.
Cada prueba de nuestra fe en Dios nos hace más fuertes. Cuanto más difícil parezca la circunstancia material que deba vencer el Espíritu, tanto más fuerte debiera ser nuestra fe y tanto más puro nuestro amor. El Apóstol Juan dice: "En el Amor no hay temor, sino que el perfecto Amor echa fuera el temor.... El que teme, no ha sido perfeccionado en el Amor". He aquí una proclamación concreta e inspirada de Ciencia Cristiana.
Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love. The Apostle John says: "There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casteth out fear. ... He that feareth is not made perfect in Love." Here is a definite and inspired proclamation of Christian Science.
Las pruebas son señales del cuidado de Dios. El desarrollo espiritual no germina de la simiente sembrada en el campo de esperanzas materiales; sino cuando éstas decaen, el Amor propaga de nuevo las alegrías más elevadas del Espíritu, las cuales no tienen mácula terrenal. Cada fase sucesiva de experiencia descubre nuevas perspectivas de la bondad y del amor divinos.
Trials are proofs of God's care. Spiritual development germinates not from seed sown in the soil of material hopes, but when these decay, Love propagates anew the higher joys of Spirit, which have no taint of earth. Each successive stage of experience unfolds new views of divine goodness and love.
En la quimicalización moral, cuando se agravan los síntomas del mal, de la ilusión, es posible que pensemos, en nuestra ignorancia, que el Señor ha producido un mal; pero debiéramos saber que la ley de Dios desenmascara al llamado pecado y sus efectos sólo para que la Verdad pueda aniquilar toda sensación de mal y toda capacidad de pecar.
In moral chemicalization, when the symptoms of evil, illusion, are aggravated, we may think in our ignorance that the Lord hath wrought an evil; but we ought to know that God's law uncovers so-called sin and its effects, only that Truth may annihilate all sense of evil and all power to sin.
A medida que los mortales alcancen, mediante el conocimiento de la Ciencia Cristiana, un concepto más elevado, procurarán aprender, no de la materia, sino del Principio divino, Dios, la manera de demostrar que el Cristo, la Verdad, es el poder curativo y salvador.
As mortals reach, through knowledge of Christian Science, a higher sense, they will seek to learn, not from matter, but from the divine Principle, God, how to demonstrate the Christ, Truth, as the healing and saving power.
Ésta es la doctrina de la Ciencia Cristiana: que el Amor divino no puede ser privado de su manifestación u objeto; que el gozo no puede convertirse en pesar, porque el pesar no es el vencedor del gozo; que el bien nunca puede producir el mal; que la materia jamás puede producir a la mente, ni la vida resultar en muerte. El hombre perfecto —gobernado por Dios, su Principio perfecto— es sin pecado y eterno.
This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.
Lo que extermina al error es la gran verdad que Dios, el bien, es la Mente única y que el supuesto contrario de la Mente infinita —llamado diablo o mal— no es Mente, no es Verdad, sino error, sin inteligencia ni realidad.
The exterminator of error is the great truth that God, good, is the only Mind, and that the supposititious opposite of infinite Mind — called devil or evil — is not Mind, is not Truth, but error, without intelligence or reality.
La Mente tiene dominio sobre los sentidos corporales y puede vencer a la enfermedad, al pecado y a la muerte. Ejerced esa autoridad otorgada por Dios. Tomad posesión de vuestro cuerpo y regid sus sensaciones y funciones. Levantaos en la fuerza del Espíritu para resistir todo lo que sea desemejante al bien. Dios ha hecho al hombre capaz de eso, y nada puede invalidar la capacidad y el poder divinamente otorgados al hombre..
Mind is the master of the corporeal senses, and can conquer sickness, sin, and death. Exercise this God-given authority. … Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man.
Dejemos que el altruismo, la bondad, la misericordia, la justicia, la salud, la santidad, el amor —el reino de los cielos— reinen en nosotros, y el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte disminuirán hasta que finalmente desaparezcan.
Aceptemos la Ciencia, renunciemos a todas las teorías basadas en el testimonio de los sentidos, abandonemos los modelos imperfectos e ideales ilusorios; y tengamos así un solo Dios, una sola Mente, y ese uno perfecto, produciendo Sus propios modelos de excelencia.
Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love — the kingdom of heaven — reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.
Let us accept Science, relinquish all theories based on sense-testimony, give up imperfect models and illusive ideals; and so let us have one God, one Mind, and that one perfect, producing His own models of excellence.
Un solo Dios infinito, el bien, unifica a los hombres y a las naciones; constituye la hermandad del hombre; pone fin a las guerras; cumple el mandato de las Escrituras: "Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo"; aniquila a la idolatría pagana y a la cristiana —todo lo que es injusto en los códigos sociales, civiles, criminales, políticos y religiosos; establece la igualdad de los sexos; anula la maldición que pesa sobre el hombre, y no deja nada que pueda pecar, sufrir, ser castigado o destruido.
One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, "Love thy neighbor as thyself;" annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry, — whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
