24. El Dios que hizo el mundo y todas las cosas que en él hay, siendo Señor del cielo y de la tierra, no habita en templos hechos por manos humanas,
25. Ni es honrado por manos de hombres, como si necesitase de algo; pues él es quien da a todos vida y aliento y todas las cosas.
26. Y de una sangre ha hecho todo el linaje de los hombres, para que habiten sobre toda la faz de la tierra; y les ha prefijado el orden de los tiempos, y los límites de su habitación;
27. Para que busquen a Dios, si en alguna manera, palpando, puedan hallarle, aunque ciertamente no está lejos de cada uno de nosotros.
28. Porque en él vivimos, y nos movemos, y somos; como algunos de vuestros propios poetas también han dicho: Porque linaje suyo somos.
33. Oh profundidad de las riquezas de la sabiduría y de la ciencia de Dios! ¡Cuán insondables son sus juicios, e inescrutables sus caminos!
36. Porque de él, y por él, y para él, son todas las cosas. A él sea la gloria por los siglos. Amén.
24. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25. Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26. And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
33. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
36. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra.
2 Y la tierra estaba desordenada y vacía, y las tinieblas estaban sobre la faz del abismo, y el Espíritu de Dios se movía sobre la faz de las aguas.
3 Y dijo Dios: Sea la luz; y fue la luz.
4 Y vio Dios que la luz era buena;
26 Entonces dijo Dios: Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, conforme a nuestra semejanza; y señoree en los peces del mar, en las aves de los cielos, en las bestias, en toda la tierra, y en todo animal que se arrastra sobre la tierra.
27 Y creó Dios al hombre a su imagen, a imagen de Dios lo creó; varón y hembra los creó.
28 Y los bendijo Dios, y les dijo: Fructificad y multiplicaos; llenad la tierra, y sojuzgadla, y señoread en los peces del mar, en las aves de los cielos, y en todas las bestias que se mueven sobre la tierra.
31 Y vio Dios todo lo que había hecho, y he aquí que era bueno en gran manera.
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good:
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
17 Toda buena dádiva y todo don perfecto desciende de lo alto, del Padre de las luces, en el cual no hay mudanza, ni sombra de variación.
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
6 Sino que subía de la tierra un vapor, el cual regaba toda la faz de la tierra.
7 Entonces Jehová Dios formó al hombre del polvo de la tierra, y sopló en su nariz aliento de vida,
21 Entonces Jehová Dios hizo caer sueño profundo sobre Adán, y mientras éste dormía, tomó una de sus costillas, y cerró la carne en su lugar.
22 Y de la costilla que Jehová Dios tomó del hombre, hizo una mujer, y la trajo al hombre.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
16 A la mujer dijo: Multiplicaré en gran manera los dolores en tus preñeces; con dolor darás a luz los hijos; y tu deseo será para tu marido, y él se enseñoreará de ti.
17 Y al hombre dijo:
19 Con el sudor de tu rostro comerás el pan hasta que vuelvas a la tierra, porque de ella fuiste tomado; pues polvo eres, y al polvo volverás.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 And unto Adam he said,
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
1 Amados, no creáis a todo espíritu, sino probad los espíritus si son de Dios; porque muchos falsos profetas han salido por el mundo.
4 Hijitos, vosotros sois de Dios, y los habéis vencido; porque mayor es el que está en vosotros, que el que está en el mundo.
6 Nosotros somos de Dios; el que conoce a Dios, nos oye; el que no es de Dios, no nos oye. En esto conocemos el espíritu de verdad y el espíritu de error.
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
21 Saliendo Jesús de allí, se fue a la región de Tiro y de Sidón.
22 Y he aquí una mujer cananea que había salido de aquella región clamaba, diciéndole: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí! Mi hija es gravemente atormentada por un demonio.
23 Pero Jesús no le respondió palabra. Entonces acercándose sus discípulos, le rogaron, diciendo: Despídela, pues da voces tras nosotros.
24 El respondiendo, dijo: No soy enviado sino a las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel.
25 Entonces ella vino y se postró ante él, diciendo: ¡Señor, socórreme!.
26 Respondiendo él, dijo: No está bien tomar el pan de los hijos, y echarlo a los perrillos.
27 Y ella dijo: Sí, Señor; pero aun los perrillos comen de las migajas que caen de la mesa de sus amos.
28 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Oh mujer, grande es tu fe; hágase contigo como quieres. Y su hija fue sanada desde aquella hora.
29 Pasó Jesús de allí y vino junto al mar de Galilea; y subiendo al monte, se sentó allí.
30 Y se le acercó mucha gente que traía consigo a cojos, ciegos, mudos, mancos, y otros muchos enfermos; y los pusieron a los pies de Jesús, y los sanó;
31 De manera que la multitud se maravillaba, viendo a los mudos hablar, a los mancos sanados, a los cojos andar, y a los ciegos ver; y glorificaban al Dios de Israel.
21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
22 Porque así como en Adán todos mueren, también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.
23 Pero cada uno en su debido orden: Cristo, las primicias; luego los que son de Cristo, en su venida.
24 Luego el fin, cuando entregue el reino al Dios y Padre, cuando haya suprimido todo dominio, toda autoridad y potencia.
25 Porque preciso es que él reine hasta que haya puesto a todos sus enemigos debajo de sus pies.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1 Mirad cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, para que seamos llamados hijos de Dios; por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoció a él.
2 Amados, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y aún no se ha manifestado lo que hemos de ser; pero sabemos que cuando él se manifieste, seremos semejantes a él, porque le veremos tal como él es.
3 Y todo aquel que tiene esta esperanza en él, se purifica a sí mismo, así como él es puro.
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Dios creó al hombre a Su imagen, para que refleje al Espíritu divino.
God made man in His own image, to reflect the divine Spirit.
Al hombre creado por Dios le fue dado señorío sobre toda la tierra.
Man, created by God, was given dominion over the whole earth.
El hombre es más que una forma material con una mente adentro que tiene que escapar de su ambiente para ser inmortal. El hombre refleja infinitud, y ese reflejo es la idea verdadera de Dios.
El Principio infinito es reflejado por la idea infinita y la individualidad espiritual, pero los llamados sentidos materiales no conocen ni al Principio ni a su idea.
No habiendo nacido jamás y jamás habiendo de morir, le sería imposible al hombre, bajo el gobierno de Dios en la Ciencia eterna, caer de su estado elevado.
Man is more than a material form with a mind inside, which must escape from its environments in order to be immortal. Man reflects infinity, and this reflection is the true idea of God.
God expresses in man the infinite idea forever developing itself, broadening and rising higher and higher from a boundless basis.
Never born and never dying, it were impossible for man, under the government of God in eternal Science, to fall from his high estate.
Todo lo que indique la caída del hombre o lo opuesto de Dios o la ausencia de Dios, es el sueño-Adán, que no es ni Mente ni hombre, porque no ha sido engendrado por el Padre.
Whatever indicates the fall of man or the opposite of God or God's absence, is the Adam-dream, which is neither Mind nor man, for it is not begotten of the Father.
ADÁN. Error; una falsedad; … lo opuesto del bien —de Dios y Su creación;
Adam. Error; a falsity; … the opposite of good, — of God and His creation;
El nombre Adán representa la falsa suposición de que la Vida no es eterna, sino que tiene comienzo y fin; que lo infinito entra en lo finito, que la inteligencia se introduce en lo no inteligente, y que el Alma mora en el sentido material; que la Mente inmortal resulta en materia, y la materia en mente mortal; que el Dios y creador único entró en lo que creó y después desapareció en el ateísmo de la materia.
The name Adam represents the false supposition that Life is not eternal, but has beginning and end; that the infinite enters the finite, that intelligence passes into nonintelligence, and that Soul dwells in material sense; that immortal Mind results in matter, and matter in mortal mind; that the one God and creator entered what He created, and then disappeared in the atheism of matter.
El origen de toda la discordia humana fue el sueño Adán, aquel sueño profundo en el cual se originó la ilusión de que la vida y la inteligencia procedieron de la materia y entraron en ella. Ese error panteísta, esa llamada serpiente, insiste aún en el opuesto de la Verdad, diciendo: "Seréis como Dios"; es decir, yo haré que el error sea tan real y eterno como la Verdad.
The parent of all human discord was the Adam-dream, the deep sleep, in which originated the delusion that life and intelligence proceeded from and passed into matter. This pantheistic error, or so-called serpent, insists still upon the opposite of Truth, saying, "Ye shall be as gods;" that is, I will make error as real and eternal as Truth.
“ … Pondré espíritu dentro de lo que llamo materia, y la materia parecerá tener tanta vida como Dios, el Espíritu, que es la única Vida".
Ese error se ha demostrado ser error.
“ … I will put spirit into what I call matter, and matter shall seem to have life as much as God, Spirit, who is the only Life."
This error has proved itself to be error.
Debido a su falso fundamento, la neblina de la oscuridad, producida por el error, intensifica la falsa pretensión, y, finalmente, declara que Dios conoce el error y que el error puede mejorar la creación de Dios. Pese a que presenta lo diametralmente opuesto de la Verdad, la mentira pretende ser verdad. Las creaciones de la materia provienen de una neblina o pretensión falsa, o de una mistificación, y no del firmamento, o comprensión, que Dios erige entre lo verdadero y lo falso. En el error todo viene de abajo, no de lo alto. Todo es mito material, en lugar del reflejo del Espíritu.
Because of its false basis, the mist of obscurity evolved by error deepens the false claim, and finally declares that God knows error and that error can improve His creation. Although presenting the exact opposite of Truth, the lie claims to be truth. The creations of matter arise from a mist or false claim, or from mystification, and not from the firmament, or understanding, which God erects between the true and false. In error everything comes from beneath, not from above. All is material myth, instead of the reflection of Spirit.
Adán, representado en las Escrituras como formado del polvo, es ejemplo concreto para la mente humana. Los sentidos materiales, igual que Adán, se originan en la materia y vuelven al polvo, así demostrándose no inteligentes. Se van como vinieron, porque todavía son el error y no la verdad del ser. Cuando se aprenda que el sentido espiritual, y no el material, transmite las impresiones de la Mente al hombre, entonces se comprenderá la existencia y se reconocerá que es armoniosa.
Adam, represented in the Scriptures as formed from dust, is an object-lesson for the human mind. The material senses, like Adam, originate in matter and return to dust, — are proved non-intelligent. They go out as they came in, for they are still the error, not the truth of being. When it is learned that the spiritual sense, and not the material, conveys the impressions of Mind to man, then being will be understood and found to be harmonious.
Adán no fue el hombre ideal para quien la tierra fue bendecida. El hombre ideal se reveló a su debido tiempo, y fue conocido como Cristo Jesús.
Adam was not the ideal man for whom the earth was blessed. The ideal man was revealed in due time, and was known as Christ Jesus.
En la Ciencia divina, el hombre es la imagen verdadera de Dios. La naturaleza divina se expresó de la mejor manera en Cristo Jesús, quien reflejó más exactamente a Dios a los mortales y elevó sus vidas a un nivel más alto que el que les concedían sus pobres modelos de pensamiento — pensamientos que presentaban al hombre como caído, enfermo, pecador y mortal. La comprensión, semejante a la de Cristo, del ser científico y de la curación divina, incluye un Principio perfecto y una idea perfecta —Dios perfecto y hombre perfecto— como base del pensamiento y de la demostración.
Si el hombre fue antes perfecto pero ha perdido ahora su perfección, entonces los mortales nunca han visto en el hombre la imagen refleja de Dios. La imagen perdida no es imagen. La semejanza verdadera no puede perderse al reflejar lo divino. Comprendiendo eso, Jesús dijo: "Sed, pues, vosotros perfectos, como vuestro Padre que está en los cielos es perfecto".
In divine Science, man is the true image of God. The divine nature was best expressed in Christ Jesus, who threw upon mortals the truer reflection of God and lifted their lives higher than their poor thought-models would allow, — thoughts which presented man as fallen, sick, sinning, and dying. The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, — perfect God and perfect man, — as the basis of thought and demonstration.
If man was once perfect but has now lost his perfection, then mortals have never beheld in man the reflex image of God. The lost image is no image. The true likeness cannot be lost in divine reflection. Understanding this, Jesus said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Los hijos de Dios no tienen sino una sola Mente. ¿Cómo puede el bien caer en mal, cuando Dios, la Mente del hombre, jamás peca? La norma de la perfección fue originalmente Dios y el hombre. ¿Acaso Dios ha rebajado Su propia norma, y acaso el hombre ha caído?
Las relaciones entre Dios y el hombre, el Principio divino y la idea divina, son indestructibles en la Ciencia; y la Ciencia no conoce ningún alejamiento de la armonía ni retorno a ella, sino mantiene que el orden divino o ley espiritual, en que Dios y todo lo que es creado por Él son perfectos y eternos, ha permanecido inalterado en su historia eterna.
The children of God have but one Mind. How can good lapse into evil, when God, the Mind of man, never sins? The standard of perfection was originally God and man. Has God taken down His own standard, and has man fallen?
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
Jesús estableció por medio de la demostración, Él probó lo que enseñó. Esto es la Ciencia del cristianismo. Jesús probó que el Principio que sana al enfermo y echa fuera al error es divino.
Jesus established what he said by demonstration, … He proved what he taught. This is the Science of Christianity. Jesus proved the Principle, which heals the sick and casts out error, to be divine.
Jesús dijo: "El reino de Dios está entre vosotros"; esto es, la Verdad y el Amor reinan en el hombre verdadero, mostrando que el hombre a imagen de Dios no ha caído y es eterno. Jesús veía en la Ciencia al hombre perfecto, que aparecía a él donde el hombre mortal y pecador aparece a los mortales. En ese hombre perfecto el Salvador veía la semejanza misma de Dios, y esa manera correcta de ver al hombre sanaba a los enfermos. Así Jesús enseñó que el reino de Dios está intacto, que es universal y que el hombre es puro y santo.
Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you;" that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God's image is unfallen and eternal. Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.
La Vida es, siempre ha sido, y siempre será independiente de la materia; pues la Vida es Dios, y el hombre es la idea de Dios, formado no material sino espiritualmente, y no sujeto a la descomposición y al polvo. El Salmista dijo del hombre: "Le hiciste señorear sobre las obras de Tus manos; todo lo pusiste debajo de sus pies".
La gran verdad en la Ciencia del ser de que el hombre real fue, es y siempre será perfecto, es incontrovertible; porque si el hombre es la imagen, el reflejo, de Dios, no es ni invertido ni subvertido, sino recto y semejante a Dios.
Life is, always has been, and ever will be independent of matter; for Life is God, and man is the idea of God, not formed materially but spiritually, and not subject to decay and dust. The Psalmist said: "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands. Thou hast put all things under his feet."
The great truth in the Science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
