1. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Leccion Sermon
1 Alzaré mis ojos a los montes; ¿De dónde vendrá mi socorro?
2 Mi socorro viene de Jehová, que hizo los cielos y la tierra.
3 No dará tu pie al resbaladero, ni se dormirá el que te guarda.
4 He aquí, no se adormecerá ni dormirá el que guarda a Israel.
5 Jehová es tu guardador; Jehová es tu sombra a tu mano derecha.
6 El sol no te fatigará de día, ni la luna de noche.
7 Jehová te guardará de todo mal; El guardará tu alma.
8 Jehová guardará tu salida y tu entrada desde ahora y para siempre.
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
1 Entonces Josué llamó a los rubenitas, a los gaditas, y a la media tribu de Manasés,
2 Y les dijo: Vosotros habéis guardado todo lo que Moisés siervo de Jehová os mandó, y habéis obedecido a mi voz en todo lo que os he mandado.
3 No habéis dejado a vuestros hermanos en este largo tiempo hasta el día de hoy, sino que os habéis cuidado de guardar los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios.
4 Ahora, pues, que Jehová vuestro Dios ha dado reposo a vuestros hermanos, como lo había prometido, volved, regresad a vuestras tiendas, a la tierra de vuestras posesiones, que Moisés siervo de Jehová os dio al otro lado del Jordán.
5 Solamente que con diligencia cuidéis de cumplir el mandamiento y la ley que Moisés siervo de Jehová os ordenó: que améis a Jehová vuestro Dios, y andéis en todos sus caminos; que guardéis sus mandamientos, y le sigáis a él, y le sirváis de todo vuestro corazón y de toda vuestra alma.
6 Y bendiciéndolos, Josué los despidió, y se fueron a sus tiendas.
1 Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
2 And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:
3 Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God.
4 And now the Lord your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side Jordan.
5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
6 So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.
1 Aconteció, muchos días después que Jehová diera reposo a Israel de todos sus enemigos alrededor, que Josué, siendo ya viejo y avanzado en años,
2 Llamó a todo Israel, a sus ancianos, sus príncipes, sus jueces y sus oficiales, y les dijo: Yo ya soy viejo y avanzado en años.
3 Y vosotros habéis visto todo lo que Jehová vuestro Dios ha hecho con todas estas naciones por vuestra causa; porque Jehová vuestro Dios es quien ha peleado por vosotros.
4 He aquí os he repartido por suerte, en herencia para vuestras tribus, estas naciones, así las destruidas como las que quedan, desde el Jordán hasta el Mar Grande, hacia donde se pone el sol.
5 Y Jehová vuestro Dios las echará de delante de vosotros, y las arrojará de vuestra presencia; y vosotros poseeréis sus tierras, como Jehová vuestro Dios os ha dicho.
6 Esforzaos, pues, mucho en guardar y hacer todo lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, sin apartaros de ello ni a diestra ni a siniestra;
14 Y he aquí que yo estoy para entrar hoy por el camino de toda la tierra; reconoced, pues, con todo vuestro corazón y con toda vuestra alma, que no ha faltado una palabra de todas las buenas palabras que Jehová vuestro Dios había dicho de vosotros; todas os han acontecido, no ha faltado ninguna de ellas.
1 And it came to pass a long time after that the Lord had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:
3 And ye have seen all that the Lord your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the Lord your God is he that hath fought for you.
4 Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the great sea westward.
5 And the Lord your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the Lord your God hath promised unto you.
6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
10 … si dieres tu pan al hambriento, y saciares al alma afligida, en las tinieblas nacerá tu luz, y tu oscuridad será como el mediodía.
11 Jehová te pastoreará siempre, y en las sequías saciará tu alma, y dará vigor a tus huesos; y serás como huerto de riego, y como manantial de aguas, cuyas aguas nunca faltan.
12 Y los tuyos edificarán las ruinas antiguas; los cimientos de generación y generación levantarás, y serás llamado reparador de portillos, restaurador de calzadas para habitar.
10 …if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
21 Desde entonces comenzó Jesús a declarar a sus discípulos que le era necesario ir a Jerusalén y padecer mucho de los ancianos, de los principales sacerdotes y de los escribas; y ser muerto, y resucitar al tercer día.
22 Entonces Pedro, tomándolo aparte, comenzó a reconvenirle, diciendo: Señor, ten compasión de ti; en ninguna manera esto te acontezca.
23 Pero él, volviéndose, dijo a Pedro: ¡Quítate de delante de mí, Satanás!; me eres tropiezo, porque no pones la mira en las cosas de Dios, sino en las de los hombres.
24 Entonces Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, y tome su cruz, y sígame.
25 Porque todo el que quiera salvar su vida, la perderá; y todo el que pierda su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
26 Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre, si ganare todo el mundo, y perdiere su alma? ¿O qué recompensa dará el hombre por su alma?
27 Porque el Hijo del Hombre vendrá en la gloria de su Padre con sus ángeles, y entonces pagará a cada uno conforme a sus obras.
28 De cierto os digo que hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte, hasta que hayan visto al Hijo del Hombre viniendo en su reino.
21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
24 Mi porción es Jehová, dijo mi alma; por tanto, en él esperaré.
25 Bueno es Jehová a los que en él esperan, al alma que le busca.
26 Bueno es esperar en silencio la salvación de Jehová.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
Para alcanzar el cielo, la armonía del ser, tenemos que comprender el Principio divino del ser.
To reach heaven, the harmony of being, we must understand the divine Principle of being.
El Alma, o Espíritu, es Dios, inmutable y eterna; y el hombre coexiste con el Alma, Dios, y la refleja, porque el hombre es imagen de Dios.
Soul, or Spirit, is God, unchangeable and eternal; and man coexists with and reflects Soul, God, for man is God's image.
El Alma es la sustancia, Vida e inteligencia del hombre, que está individualizada, pero no en la materia. El Alma jamás puede reflejar nada que sea inferior al Espíritu.
El hombre es la expresión del Alma. Los indios norteamericanos tuvieron algunas vislumbres de la realidad fundamental, al llamar a cierto hermoso lago "La sonrisa del Gran Espíritu".
Soul is the substance, Life, and intelligence of man, which is individualized, but not in matter. Soul can never reflect anything inferior to Spirit.
Man is the expression of Soul. The Indians caught some glimpses of the underlying reality, when they called a certain beautiful lake "the smile of the Great Spirit."
CIELO. Armonía; el reino del Espíritu; gobierno por el Principio divino; espiritualidad; felicidad; la atmósfera del Alma.
Heaven. Harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul.
No podemos negar que la Vida se sostiene a sí misma, y nunca debiéramos negar la eterna armonía del Alma, simplemente porque para los sentidos mortales parece existir discordancia. Nuestra ignorancia respecto a Dios, el Principio divino, es lo que produce la aparente discordancia, y comprenderlo a Él correctamente restaura la armonía. La Verdad finalmente nos obligará a todos a cambiar los placeres y dolores de los sentidos por los goces del Alma.
We cannot deny that Life is self-sustained, and we should never deny the everlasting harmony of Soul, simply because, to the mortal senses, there is seeming discord. It is our ignorance of God, the divine Principle, which produces apparent discord, and the right understanding of Him restores harmony. Truth will at length compel us all to exchange the pleasures and pains of sense for the joys of Soul.
El Alma es inmortal porque es Espíritu, el cual no tiene ningún elemento de autodestrucción. ¿Está el hombre perdido espiritualmente? No. Sólo puede perder una consciencia material. Todo pecado es de la carne. No puede ser espiritual. El pecado existe aquí o en el más allá sólo mientras perdure la ilusión de que hay mente en la materia. Es una consciencia de pecado, y no un alma pecaminosa, lo que se pierde. El mal es destruido por la consciencia de bien.
Debido a las falsas nociones de que el alma mora en los sentidos y de que la mente mora en la materia, la creencia se desvía hacia una noción de pérdida o ausencia temporarias del alma, la verdad espiritual. Ese estado del error es el sueño mortal de que la vida y la sustancia existen en la materia, y está directamente opuesto a la realidad inmortal del ser. Mientras creamos que el alma puede pecar o que el Alma inmortal está en el cuerpo mortal, no podremos comprender jamás la Ciencia del ser. Cuando la humanidad comprenda esta Ciencia, será la ley de la Vida para el hombre —es decir, la ley superior del Alma, que prevalece sobre el sentido material mediante la armonía y la inmortalidad.
Soul is immortal because it is Spirit, which has no element of self-destruction. Is man lost spiritually? No, he can only lose a sense material. All sin is of the flesh. It cannot be spiritual. Sin exists here or hereafter only so long as the illusion of mind in matter remains. It is a sense of sin, and not a sinful soul, which is lost. Evil is destroyed by the sense of good.
Through false estimates of soul as dwelling in sense and of mind as dwelling in matter, belief strays into a sense of temporary loss or absence of soul, spiritual truth. This state of error is the mortal dream of life and substance as existent in matter, and is directly opposite to the immortal reality of being. So long as we believe that soul can sin or that immortal Soul is in mortal body, we can never understand the Science of being. When humanity does understand this Science, it will become the law of Life to man, — even the higher law of Soul, which prevails over material sense through harmony and immortality.
La Vida es la ley del Alma, la ley del espíritu de la Verdad, y el Alma jamás existe sin su representante. Le es tan imposible al ser individual del hombre morir o desaparecer en la inconsciencia como le es al Alma, pues ambos son inmortales.
Life is the law of Soul, even the law of the spirit of Truth, and Soul is never without its representative. Man's individual being can no more die nor disappear in unconsciousness than can Soul, for both are immortal.
La Mente divina es el Alma del hombre y da al hombre señorío sobre todas las cosas. El hombre no fue creado partiendo de una base material, ni ordenado a obedecer leyes materiales que el Espíritu nunca hizo; su esfera está en los estatutos espirituales, en la ley superior de la Mente.
The divine Mind is the Soul of man, and gives man dominion over all things. Man was not created from a material basis, nor bidden to obey material laws which Spirit never made; his province is in spiritual statutes, in the higher law of Mind.
… el hombre armonioso e inmortal ha existido eternamente, y siempre está más allá y por encima de la ilusión mortal de que pueda existir vida, sustancia e inteligencia en la materia. Esa declaración está basada en la verdad y no en una fábula. La Ciencia del ser revela que el hombre es perfecto, así como el Padre es perfecto, porque el Alma, o la Mente, del hombre espiritual es Dios, el Principio divino de todo ser, y porque ese hombre real es gobernado por el Alma y no por los sentidos, por la ley del Espíritu y no por las supuestas leyes de la materia.
…harmonious and immortal man has existed forever, and is always beyond and above the mortal illusion of any life, substance, and intelligence as existent in matter. This statement is based on fact, not fable. The Science of being reveals man as perfect, even as the Father is perfect, because the Soul, or Mind, of the spiritual man is God, the divine Principle of all being, and because this real man is governed by Soul instead of sense, by the law of Spirit, not by the so-called laws of matter.
Cuando la comprensión cambie nuestros puntos de vista acerca de la vida y la inteligencia de una base material a una base espiritual, lograremos la realidad de la Vida, el dominio del Alma sobre los sentidos, y percibiremos el cristianismo, o la Verdad, en su Principio divino. Eso ha de ser el punto culminante, antes que se llegue al hombre armonioso e inmortal y sean reveladas sus aptitudes. Es sumamente importante —en vista del inmenso trabajo a realizarse antes que pueda venir ese reconocimiento de la Ciencia divina— dirigir nuestros pensamientos hacia el Principio divino, para que la creencia finita pueda estar preparada a renunciar a sus errores.
When understanding changes the standpoints of life and intelligence from a material to a spiritual basis, we shall gain the reality of Life, the control of Soul over sense, and we shall perceive Christianity, or Truth, in its divine Principle. This must be the climax before harmonious and immortal man is obtained and his capabilities revealed. It is highly important — in view of the immense work to be accomplished before this recognition of divine Science can come — to turn our thoughts towards divine Principle, that finite belief may be prepared to relinquish its error.
Un oído desafinado considera que la disonancia es armonía, por no saber apreciar la concordancia. Así el sentido físico, no percibiendo la verdadera felicidad del ser, la funda sobre una base falsa. La Ciencia corregirá la discordancia y nos enseñará las armonías más dulces de la vida.
El Alma tiene recursos infinitos con que bendecir a la humanidad, y alcanzaríamos la felicidad más fácilmente y la conservaríamos con mayor seguridad si la buscásemos en el Alma. Sólo los goces más elevados pueden satisfacer los anhelos del hombre inmortal. No podemos circunscribir la felicidad dentro de los límites del sentido personal. Los sentidos no proporcionan goces verdaderos.
Lo bueno en los afectos humanos ha de tener predominio sobre lo malo, y lo espiritual sobre lo animal, pues, de lo contrario, nunca se alcanzará la felicidad. El llegar a esa condición celestial mejoraría nuestra prole, disminuiría el crimen y daría fines más elevados a la ambición. Todo valle de pecado tiene que ser alzado y todo monte de egoísmo bajado, para que se prepare el camino de nuestro Dios en la Ciencia.
An ill-attuned ear calls discord harmony, not appreciating concord. So physical sense, not discerning the true happiness of being, places it on a false basis. Science will correct the discord, and teach us life's sweeter harmonies.
Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul. Higher enjoyments alone can satisfy the cravings of immortal man. We cannot circumscribe happiness within the limits of personal sense. The senses confer no real enjoyment.
The good in human affections must have ascendency over the evil and the spiritual over the animal, or happiness will never be won. The attainment of this celestial condition would improve our progeny, diminish crime, and give higher aims to ambition. Every valley of sin must be exalted, and every mountain of selfishness be brought low, that the highway of our God may be prepared in Science.
Sabiendo que el Alma y sus atributos se manifestaban eternamente por medio del hombre, el Maestro sanaba a los enfermos, daba vista a los ciegos, oído a los sordos, pies a los cojos, revelando así la acción científica de la Mente divina sobre mentes y cuerpos humanos, y dando una mejor comprensión del Alma y la salvación.
Knowing that Soul and its attributes were forever manifested through man, the Master healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, feet to the lame, thus bringing to light the scientific action of the divine Mind on human minds and bodies and giving a better understanding of Soul and salvation.
¿Amas "al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, y con toda tu alma, y con toda tu mente"? Ese mandato incluye mucho, hasta la renuncia a toda sensación, afecto y culto meramente materiales. Ése es El Dorado del cristianismo. Incluye la Ciencia de la Vida y reconoce sólo el dominio divino del Espíritu, en el cual el Alma nos gobierna y los sentidos materiales y la voluntad humana no tienen cabida.
Dost thou "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind"? This command includes much, even the surrender of all merely material sensation, affection, and worship. This is the El Dorado of Christianity. It involves the Science of Life, and recognizes only the divine control of Spirit, in which Soul is our master, and material sense and human will have no place.
El hombre es armonioso cuando es gobernado por el Alma.
Man is harmonious when governed by Soul.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
