10. No temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no desmayes, porque yo soy tu Dios que te esfuerzo; siempre te ayudaré, siempre te sustentaré con la diestra de mi justicia.
11. He aquí que todos los que se enojan contra ti serán avergonzados y confundidos; serán como nada y perecerán los que contienden contigo.
12. Buscarás a los que tienen contienda contigo, y no los hallarás; serán como nada, y como cosa que no es, aquellos que te hacen la guerra.
13. Porque yo Jehová soy tu Dios, quien te sostiene de tu mano derecha, y te dice: No temas, yo te ayudo.
17. Los afligidos y menesterosos buscan las aguas, y no las hay; seca está de sed su lengua; yo Jehová los oiré, yo el Dios de Israel no los desampararé.
18. En las alturas abriré ríos, y fuentes en medio de los valles; abriré en el desierto estanques de aguas, y manantiales de aguas en la tierra seca.
20. Para que vean y conozcan, y adviertan y entiendan todos, que la mano de Jehová hace esto, y que el Santo de Israel lo creó.
10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
11. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
13. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
17. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
20. That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

19 Muy amado, no temas; la paz sea contigo; esfuérzate y aliéntate.
19 O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.
1 Jehová es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿de quién temeré? Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida; ¿de quién he de atemorizarme?
3 Aunque un ejército acampe contra mí, no temerá mi corazón; Aunque contra mí se levante guerra, yo estaré confiado.
4 Una cosa he demandado a Jehová, ésta buscaré; que esté yo en la casa de Jehová todos los días de mi vida, para contemplar la hermosura de Jehová, y para inquirir en su templo.
5 Porque él me esconderá en su tabernáculo en el día del mal; me ocultará en lo reservado de su morada; sobre una roca me pondrá en alto.
13 Hubiera yo desmayado, si no creyese que veré la bondad de Jehová en la tierra de los vivientes.
14 Aguarda a Jehová; esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón; sí, espera a Jehová.

1 Vino Senaquerib rey de los asirios e invadió a Judá, y acampó contra las ciudades fortificadas, con la intención de conquistarlas.
2 Viendo, pues, Ezequías la venida de Senaquerib, y su intención de combatir a Jerusalén,
3 Tuvo consejo con sus príncipes y con sus hombres valientes, para cegar las fuentes de agua que estaban fuera de la ciudad; y ellos le apoyaron.
6 Y puso capitanes de guerra sobre el pueblo, y los hizo reunir en la plaza de la puerta de la ciudad, y habló al corazón de ellos, diciendo:
7 Esforzaos y animaos; no temáis, ni tengáis miedo del rey de Asiria, ni de toda la multitud que con él viene; porque más hay con nosotros que con él.
8 Con él está el brazo de carne, mas con nosotros está Jehová nuestro Dios para ayudarnos y pelear nuestras batallas. Y el pueblo tuvo confianza en las palabras de Ezequías rey de Judá.
18 Y clamaron a gran voz en judaico al pueblo de Jerusalén que estaba sobre los muros, para espantarles y atemorizarles, a fin de poder tomar la ciudad.
20 Mas el rey Ezequías y el profeta Isaías hijo de Amoz oraron por esto, y clamaron al cielo.
21 Y Jehová envió un ángel, el cual destruyó a todo valiente y esforzado, y a los jefes y capitanes en el campamento del rey de Asiria. Este se volvió, por tanto, avergonzado a su tierra; y entrando en el templo de su dios, allí lo mataron a espada sus propios hijos.
1 Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.
6 And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying,
7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
18 Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.
20 And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.
21 And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land.

25 Pero una mujer que desde hacía doce años padecía de flujo de sangre,
26 Y había sufrido mucho de muchos médicos, y gastado todo lo que tenía, y nada había aprovechado, antes le iba peor,
27 Cuando oyó hablar de Jesús, vino por detrás entre la multitud, y tocó su manto.
28 Porque decía: Si tocare tan solamente su manto, seré salva.
29 Y en seguida la fuente de su sangre se secó; y sintió en el cuerpo que estaba sana de aquel azote.

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
32 No temáis, manada pequeña, porque a vuestro Padre le ha placido daros el reino.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
1 Así que, hermanos míos amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, estad así firmes en el Señor, amados.
4 Regocijaos en el Señor siempre. Otra vez digo: ¡Regocijaos!
6 Por nada estéis afanosos, sino sean conocidas vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con acción de gracias.

1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

La práctica científica y cristiana comienza con la nota tónica de armonía de Cristo: "¡No temáis!"
Christian scientific practice begins with Christ's keynote of harmony, "Be not afraid!"
JAFET (hijo de Noé). Un símbolo de la paz espiritual que emana de la comprensión de que Dios es el Principio divino de toda existencia y que el hombre es Su idea, el hijo de Su solicitud.
Japhet (Noah's son). A type of spiritual peace, flowing from the understanding that God is the divine Principle of all existence, and that man is His idea, the child of His care.
Dios modela todas las cosas conforme a Su semejanza. La Vida se refleja en existencia, la Verdad en veracidad, Dios en bondad, las cuales imparten la paz y permanencia que les son propias. El Amor, fragante de generosidad, baña todo en belleza y luz. … El hombre, hecho a Su semejanza, posee y refleja el señorío de Dios sobre toda la tierra. El hombre y la mujer, coexistentes y eternos con Dios, reflejan eternamente, en calidad glorificada, al infinito Padre-Madre Dios.
Dios creó al hombre a Su imagen, para que refleje al Espíritu divino.
God fashions all things, after His own likeness. Life is reflected in existence, Truth in truthfulness, God in goodness, which impart their own peace and permanence. Love, redolent with unselfishness, bathes all in beauty and light. … Man, made in His likeness, possesses and reflects God's dominion over all the earth. Man and woman as coexistent and eternal with God forever reflect, in glorified quality, the infinite Father-Mother God.
God made man in His own image, to reflect the divine Spirit.
Continuando nuestra definición del hombre, recordemos que el hombre armonioso e inmortal ha existido eternamente, y siempre está más allá y por encima de la ilusión mortal de que pueda existir vida, sustancia e inteligencia en la materia. Esa declaración está basada en la verdad y no en una fábula.
Continuing our definition of man, let us remember that harmonious and immortal man has existed forever, and is always beyond and above the mortal illusion of any life, substance, and intelligence as existent in matter. This statement is based on fact, not fable.
El hombre verdadero no puede desviarse de la santidad, ni puede Dios, quien desarrolla al hombre, engendrar la facultad o libertad de pecar.
Man is incapable of sin, sickness, and death. The real man cannot depart from holiness, nor can God, by whom man is evolved, engender the capacity or freedom to sin.
La enfermedad, el pecado y la muerte no son los frutos de la Vida. Son discordias que la Verdad destruye. La perfección no da vida a la imperfección. Puesto que Dios es el bien y la fuente de todo el ser, Él no produce deformidad moral o física; por tanto, tal deformidad no es real, sino ilusión, el espejismo del error. La Ciencia divina revela esas grandes verdades. Sobre la base de ellas Jesús demostró la Vida, sin temer ni obedecer jamás al error en ninguna forma.
Sickness, sin, and death are not the fruits of Life. They are inharmonies which Truth destroys. Perfection does not animate imperfection. Inasmuch as God is good and the fount of all being, He does not produce moral or physical deformity; therefore such deformity is not real, but is illusion, the mirage of error. Divine Science reveals these grand facts. On their basis Jesus demonstrated Life, never fearing nor obeying error in any form.
El temor jamás ha detenido al ser y su acción. La sangre, el corazón, los pulmones, el cerebro, etc., no tienen nada que ver con la Vida, Dios. Toda función del hombre real está gobernada por la Mente divina. La mente humana no tiene poder para matar o sanar y no tiene dominio sobre el hombre de Dios. La Mente divina que creó al hombre, mantiene Su propia imagen y semejanza. La mente humana se opone a Dios, y hay que despojarla, como declara San Pablo. Todo lo que realmente existe es la Mente divina y su idea, y en esa Mente todo el ser se halla armonioso y eterno. El camino recto y estrecho consiste en ver y reconocer ese hecho, ceder a ese poder y seguir las indicaciones de la verdad.
El hombre gobernado por la Mente Tenemos pruebas abrumadoras de que la mente mortal pretende gobernar todos los órganos del cuerpo mortal. Pero esa llamada mente es un mito y por su propio consentimiento tiene que someterse a la Verdad. Quisiera empuñar cetro de monarca, mas carece de poder. La Mente divina e inmortal le quita a la mente mortal toda su supuesta soberanía y la libera de sí misma.
Fear never stopped being and its action. The blood, heart, lungs, brain, etc., have nothing to do with Life, God. Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind. The human mind has no power to kill or to cure, and it has no control over God's man. The divine Mind that made man maintains His own image and likeness. The human mind is opposed to God and must be put off, as St. Paul declares. All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth.
That mortal mind claims to govern every organ of the mortal body, we have overwhelming proof. But this so-called mind is a myth, and must by its own consent yield to Truth. It would wield the sceptre of a monarch, but it is powerless. The immortal divine Mind takes away all its supposed sovereignty, and saves mortal mind from itself.
Los efectos físicos del temor comprueban su ilusión. Ver a un león encadenado, listo para saltar, no debiera aterrar a nadie. El cuerpo es afectado sólo por la creencia de la enfermedad, producida por una llamada mente que ignora la verdad que encadena a la enfermedad. Nada sino el poder de la Verdad puede evitar el temor al error y demostrar el dominio del hombre sobre el error.
Nada es más desalentador que creer que existe un poder opuesto a Dios, o el bien, y que Dios provee de fuerza a ese poder antagónico para ser usada contra Él mismo, contra la Vida, la salud y la armonía.
Toda ley de la materia o del cuerpo, que se supone que gobierna al hombre, es anulada y derogada por la ley de la Vida, Dios. No conociendo los derechos que Dios nos ha otorgado, nos sometemos a decretos injustos, y la influencia de la educación refuerza a esa esclavitud. No os dispongáis a aceptar la ilusión de que estáis enfermos o que se está desarrollando alguna enfermedad en vuestro organismo, más de lo que os dispondríais a someteros a una tentación pecaminosa basándoos en que el pecado tiene sus necesidades.
Al infringir alguna supuesta ley, decís que hay peligro. Ese temor es el peligro y produce los efectos físicos. Realmente no podemos sufrir por quebrantar nada que no sea una ley moral o espiritual. Las llamadas leyes de la creencia mortal se destruyen cuando se comprende que el Alma es inmortal y que la mente mortal no puede decretar leyes en cuanto a los tiempos, los períodos o las clases de enfermedades de que mueren los mortales. Dios es el legislador, pero no es el autor de códigos despiadados. En la Vida y el Amor infinitos no hay enfermedad ni pecado ni muerte, y las Escrituras declaran que vivimos, nos movemos y somos en el Dios infinito.
The physical effects of fear illustrate its illusion. Gazing at a chained lion, crouched for a spring, should not terrify a man. The body is affected only with the belief of disease produced by a so-called mind ignorant of the truth which chains disease. Nothing but the power of Truth can prevent the fear of error, and prove man's dominion over error.
Nothing is more disheartening than to believe that there is a power opposite to God, or good, and that God endows this opposing power with strength to be used against Himself, against Life, health, harmony.
Every law of matter or the body, supposed to govern man, is rendered null and void by the law of Life, God. Ignorant of our God-given rights, we submit to unjust decrees, and the bias of education enforces this slavery. Be no more willing to suffer the illusion that you are sick or that some disease is developing in the system, than you are to yield to a sinful temptation on the ground that sin has its necessities.
When infringing some supposed law, you say that there is danger. This fear is the danger and induces the physical effects. We cannot in reality suffer from breaking anything except a moral or spiritual law. The so-called laws of mortal belief are destroyed by the understanding that Soul is immortal, and that mortal mind cannot legislate the times, periods, and types of disease, with which mortals die. God is the lawmaker, but He is not the author of barbarous codes. In infinite Life and Love there is no sickness, sin, nor death, and the Scriptures declare that we live, move, and have our being in the infinite God.
La consciencia construye un cuerpo mejor cuando la fe en la materia se ha vencido. Corregid la creencia material con la comprensión espiritual, y el Espíritu os formará de nuevo. Jamás volveréis a tener otro temor que no sea el de ofender a Dios, y jamás creeréis que el corazón o cualquier otra parte del cuerpo os pueda destruir.
Consciousness constructs a better body when faith in matter has been conquered. Correct material belief by spiritual understanding, and Spirit will form you anew. You will never fear again except to offend God, and you will never believe that heart or any portion of the body can destroy you.
Cuando se presenten los primeros síntomas de enfermedad, combatid el testimonio de los sentidos materiales con la Ciencia divina. Dejad que vuestro concepto superior de justicia destruya el falso proceso de las opiniones mortales que llamáis ley, y entonces no se os recluirá en un cuarto de enfermo ni se os pondrá en un lecho de dolor en pago del último cuadrante, la última pena exigida por el error. "Ponte de acuerdo con tu adversario pronto, entre tanto que estás con él en el camino". No permitáis que ninguna pretensión de pecado o enfermedad se desarrolle en el pensamiento.
Afrontad los estados incipientes de la enfermedad con una oposición mental tan poderosa como la que emplearía un legislador para impedir la aprobación de una ley inhumana. Elevaos en la consciente fortaleza del espíritu de la Verdad para trastornar los argumentos de la mente mortal, alias materia, dispuesta a batallar contra la supremacía del Espíritu. Borrad las imágenes del pensamiento mortal y sus creencias en enfermedad y pecado.
When the first symptoms of disease appear, dispute the testimony of the material senses with divine Science. Let your higher sense of justice destroy the false process of mortal opinions which you name law, and then you will not be confined to a sick-room nor laid upon a bed of suffering in payment of the last farthing, the last penalty demanded by error. "Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him." Suffer no claim of sin or of sickness to grow upon the thought.
Meet the incipient stages of disease with as powerful mental opposition as a legislator would employ to defeat the passage of an inhuman law. Rise in the conscious strength of the spirit of Truth to overthrow the plea of mortal mind, alias matter, arrayed against the supremacy of Spirit. Blot out the images of mortal thought and its beliefs in sickness and sin.
No consintáis que ni el temor ni la duda oscurezcan vuestro claro sentido y serena confianza, que el reconocimiento de la vida armoniosa — como lo es la Vida eternamente— puede destruir cualquier concepto doloroso o creencia acerca de lo que la Vida no es. Dejad que la Ciencia Cristiana, en vez del sentido corporal, apoye vuestra comprensión del ser, y esa comprensión sustituirá al error con la Verdad, reemplazará a la mortalidad con la inmortalidad y acallará a la discordancia con la armonía.
Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious — as Life eternally is — can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not. Let Christian Science, instead of corporeal sense, support your understanding of being, and this understanding will supplant error with Truth, replace mortality with immortality, and silence discord with harmony.
"No temáis, manada pequeña, porque a vuestro Padre le ha placido daros el reino". Esa verdad es Ciencia Cristiana.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
