3. Si anduviereis en mis decretos y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra,
4. Yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra rendirá sus productos, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto.
5. Vuestra trilla alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros, y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra.
6. Y yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y haré quitar de vuestra tierra las malas bestias, y la espada no pasará por vuestro país.
12. Y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.

3. If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4. Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
12. And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

Leccion Sermon
1 Estos, pues, son los mandamientos, estatutos y decretos que Jehová vuestro Dios mandó que os enseñase, para que los pongáis por obra en la tierra a la cual pasáis vosotros para tomarla;
4 Oye, Israel: Jehová nuestro Dios, Jehová uno es.
5 Y amarás a Jehová tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y con todas tus fuerzas.
6 Y estas palabras que yo te mando hoy, estarán sobre tu corazón;
7 Y las repetirás a tus hijos, y hablarás de ellas estando en tu casa, y andando por el camino, y al acostarte, y cuando te levantes.
8 Y las atarás como una señal en tu mano, y estarán como frontales entre tus ojos;
9 Y las escribirás en los postes de tu casa, y en tus puertas.
1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
1 Y habló Dios todas estas palabras, diciendo:
2 Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de casa de servidumbre.
3 No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.
4 No te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de lo que esté arriba en el cielo, ni abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra.
5 No te inclinarás a ellas, ni las honrarás; porque yo soy Jehová tu Dios, fuerte, celoso, que visito la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos hasta la tercera y cuarta generación de los que me aborrecen,
6 Y hago misericordia a millares, a los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos.
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
1 Subió Jesús a Jerusalén.
2 Y hay en Jerusalén, cerca de la puerta de las ovejas, un estanque, llamado en hebreo Betesda, el cual tiene cinco pórticos.
3 En éstos yacía una multitud de enfermos, ciegos, cojos y paralíticos, que esperaban el movimiento del agua.
4 Porque un ángel descendía de tiempo en tiempo al estanque, y agitaba el agua; y el que primero descendía al estanque después del movimiento del agua, quedaba sano de cualquier enfermedad que tuviese.
5 Y había allí un hombre que hacía treinta y ocho años que estaba enfermo.
6 Cuando Jesús lo vio acostado, y supo que llevaba ya mucho tiempo así, le dijo: ¿Quieres ser sano?
7 Señor, le respondió el enfermo, no tengo quien me meta en el estanque cuando se agita el agua; y entre tanto que yo voy, otro desciende antes que yo.
8 Jesús le dijo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y anda.
9 Y al instante aquel hombre fue sanado, y tomó su lecho, y anduvo. Y era día de reposo aquel día.
16 Y por esta causa los judíos perseguían a Jesús, y procuraban matarle, porque hacía estas cosas en el día de reposo.
17 Y Jesús les respondió: Mi Padre hasta ahora trabaja, y yo trabajo.
19 De cierto, de cierto os digo: No puede el Hijo hacer nada por sí mismo, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que el Padre hace, también lo hace el Hijo igualmente.
20 Porque el Padre ama al Hijo, y le muestra todas las cosas que él hace; y mayores obras que estas le mostrará, de modo que vosotros os maravilléis.
30 No puedo yo hacer nada por mí mismo; según oigo, así juzgo; y mi juicio es justo, porque no busco mi voluntad, sino la voluntad del que me envió, la del Padre.
1 Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
19 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
1 La revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le dio, para manifestar a sus siervos las cosas que deben suceder pronto;
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;
1 Vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva; porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra pasaron, y el mar ya no existía más.
2 Y yo Juan vi la santa ciudad, la nueva Jerusalén, descender del cielo, de Dios, dispuesta como una esposa ataviada para su marido.
3 Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios.
4 Enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor; porque las primeras cosas pasaron.
5 Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas.
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
La ignorancia de lo que es Dios ya no es el puente hacia la fe. La única garantía de obediencia a Dios es una comprensión correcta de Él, y conocerle a Él correctamente significa Vida eterna. Aunque caigan imperios, "reinará Jehová para siempre".
Ignorance of God is no longer the steppingstone to faith. The only guarantee of obedience is a right apprehension of Him whom to know aright is Life eternal. Though empires fall, "the Lord shall reign forever."
"Oye, Israel: Jehová nuestro Dios, Jehová uno es".
El sempiterno YO SOY no está limitado ni comprimido dentro de los límites estrechos de la humanidad física, ni puede ser comprendido correctamente por medio de conceptos mortales. La forma precisa de Dios debe ser de poca importancia en comparación con la interrogación sublime: ¿Qué es la Mente infinita o el Amor divino?
¿Quién es el que exige nuestra obediencia? Aquel que, en el lenguaje de las Escrituras, "hace según Su voluntad en el ejército del cielo, y en los habitantes de la tierra, y no hay quien detenga Su mano, y Le diga: ¿Qué haces?"
"Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord."
The everlasting I am is not bounded nor compressed within the narrow limits of physical humanity, nor can He be understood aright through mortal concepts. The precise form of God must be of small importance in comparison with the sublime question, What is infinite Mind or divine Love?
Who is it that demands our obedience? He who, in the language of Scripture, "doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest Thou?"
Dios es lo que las Escrituras declaran que es —Vida, Verdad, Amor.
God is what the Scriptures declare Him to be, — Life, Truth, Love.
Las Escrituras dan a entender que Dios es Todo-en-todo. De eso se deduce que nada posee realidad ni existencia excepto la Mente divina y Sus ideas.
The Scriptures imply that God is All-in-all. From this it follows that nothing possesses reality nor existence except the divine Mind and His ideas.
DIOS. El gran YO SOY; el que todo lo sabe, que todo lo ve, que es todo acción, todo sabiduría, todo amor, y que es eterno; Principio; Mente; Alma; Espíritu; Vida; Verdad; Amor; toda sustancia; inteligencia.
Dios es el único Dios, infinito y perfecto, y no puede volverse finito e imperfecto.
God. The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence.
God is one God, infinite and perfect, and cannot become finite and imperfect.
Jesús enseñó un único Dios, un Espíritu único, que hace al hombre a imagen y semejanza de Sí mismo —del Espíritu, no de la materia.
Jesus taught but one God, one Spirit, who makes man in the image and likeness of Himself, — of Spirit, not of matter.
El tener un solo Dios, una sola Mente, desarrolla el poder que sana a los enfermos, y cumple estas palabras de las Escrituras: "Yo soy Jehová tu Sanador", y: "Yo he hallado rescate".* Cuando los preceptos divinos son comprendidos, desarrollan la base de la fraternidad, en la cual una mente no está en guerra con otra, sino que todos tienen un solo Espíritu, Dios, un mismo origen inteligente, de acuerdo con el mandato bíblico: "Tened dentro de vosotros esa Mente que estaba también en Cristo Jesús".* El hombre y su Hacedor están correlacionados en la Ciencia divina, y la consciencia verdadera sólo tiene conocimiento de las cosas de Dios.
Having one God, one Mind, unfolds the power that heals the sick, and fulfils these sayings of Scripture, "I am the Lord that healeth thee," and "I have found a ransom." When the divine precepts are understood, they unfold the foundation of fellowship, in which one mind is not at war with another, but all have one Spirit, God, one intelligent source, in accordance with the Scriptural command: "Let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Man and his Maker are correlated in divine Science, and real consciousness is cognizant only of the things of God.
Cuando el hombre es gobernado por Dios, la Mente siempre presente que comprende todas las cosas, el hombre sabe que para Dios todas las cosas son posibles. El único camino que conduce a esa Verdad viviente, que sana a los enfermos, se halla en la Ciencia de la Mente divina, como la enseñó y demostró Cristo Jesús.
He comprobado que para aliviar inflamaciones, disolver tumores, o curar enfermedades orgánicas, la Verdad divina es más potente que todos los remedios inferiores. Y ¿por qué no, puesto que la Mente, Dios, es la fuente y condición de toda existencia?
When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible. The only way to this living Truth, which heals the sick, is found in the Science of divine Mind as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.
To reduce inflammation, dissolve a tumor, or cure organic disease, I have found divine Truth more potent than all lower remedies. And why not, since Mind, God, is the source and condition of all existence?
No tomar en cuenta a Dios, por considerarlo de poca utilidad en caso de enfermedad, es una equivocación. En vez de rechazarlo en momentos de dolencias físicas y esperar la hora de fortaleza para reconocerlo presente, debiéramos aprender que Él puede hacer todo por nosotros en la enfermedad como en la salud.
No pudiendo recobrar la salud adhiriéndose a la fisiología y la higiene, el enfermo desesperado a menudo las abandona, y, en su apuro, y sólo como último recurso, acude a Dios. El enfermo tiene menos fe en la Mente divina que en las medicinas, el aire y el ejercicio, pues de lo contrario hubiera recurrido primero a la Mente. El predominio del poder le es concedido a la materia por casi todos los sistemas de medicina; pero cuando la Mente hace valer finalmente su supremacía sobre el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte, entonces se ve que el hombre es armonioso e inmortal.
To ignore God as of little use in sickness is a mistake. Instead of thrusting Him aside in times of bodily trouble, and waiting for the hour of strength in which to acknowledge Him, we should learn that He can do all things for us in sickness as in health.
Failing to recover health through adherence to physiology and hygiene, the despairing invalid often drops them, and in his extremity and only as a last resort, turns to God. The invalid's faith in the divine Mind is less than in drugs, air, and exercise, or he would have resorted to Mind first. The balance of power is conceded to be with matter by most of the medical systems; but when Mind at last asserts its mastery over sin, disease, and death, then is man found to be harmonious and immortal.
No podemos servir a dos señores, ni percibir la Ciencia divina con los sentidos materiales. Los medicamentos y la higiene no pueden usurpar con éxito el lugar y el poder de la fuente divina de toda salud y perfección…. ¿Qué puede mejorar la obra de Dios? … Para tener un solo Dios y valerse del poder del Espíritu, debe amarse a Dios supremamente.
No es sabio tomar una actitud indecisa y vacilante, o tratar de valerse igualmente del Espíritu y de la materia, de la Verdad y del error. Hay un solo camino —a saber, Dios y Su idea— que nos lleva al ser espiritual. El gobierno científico del cuerpo tiene que lograrse por medio de la Mente divina. Es imposible obtener el dominio sobre el cuerpo por otro medio. En ese punto fundamental, el tímido tradicionalismo es absolutamente inadmisible. Sólo por medio de una confianza radical en la Verdad puede realizarse el poder científico de la curación.
We cannot serve two masters nor perceive divine Science with the material senses. Drugs and hygiene cannot successfully usurp the place and power of the divine source of all health and perfection. … What can improve God's work? … To have one God and avail yourself of the power of Spirit, you must love God supremely.
It is not wise to take a halting and half-way position or to expect to work equally with Spirit and matter, Truth and error. There is but one way — namely, God and His idea — which leads to spiritual being. The scientific government of the body must be attained through the divine Mind. It is impossible to gain control over the body in any other way. On this fundamental point, timid conservatism is absolutely inadmissible. Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized.
Admitir que la enfermedad es una condición sobre la cual Dios no tiene dominio, significa presuponer que el poder omnipotente es impotente en algunas ocasiones. La ley de Cristo, o la Verdad, hace que todas las cosas sean posibles para el Espíritu; pero las llamadas leyes de la materia tratarían de hacer ineficaz al Espíritu y exigir obediencia a códigos materialistas, apartándose así de la base de un solo Dios, un solo legislador. Suponer que Dios constituye leyes de discordia es una equivocación; las discordias no son apoyadas por la naturaleza o por ley divina, por mucho que se diga en contra.
To admit that sickness is a condition over which God has no control, is to presuppose that omnipotent power is powerless on some occasions. The law of Christ, or Truth, makes all things possible to Spirit; but the so-called laws of matter would render Spirit of no avail, and demand obedience to materialistic codes, thus departing from the basis of one God, one lawmaker. To suppose that God constitutes laws of inharmony is a mistake; discords have no support from nature or divine law, however much is said to the contrary.
Aceptemos la Ciencia, renunciemos a todas las teorías basadas en el testimonio de los sentidos, abandonemos los modelos imperfectos e ideales ilusorios; y tengamos así un solo Dios, una sola Mente, y ese uno perfecto, produciendo Sus propios modelos de excelencia.
Que aparezcan el "varón y hembra" de la creación de Dios. Sintamos la energía divina del Espíritu, que nos lleva en vida nueva y no reconoce ningún poder mortal o material capaz de destruir cosa alguna. Regocijémonos de que estamos sometidos a las divinas "autoridades... que hay". Tal es la Ciencia verdadera del ser. Cualquiera otra teoría de la Vida, o Dios, es engañosa y mitológica.
Let us accept Science, relinquish all theories based on sense-testimony, give up imperfect models and illusive ideals; and so let us have one God, one Mind, and that one perfect, producing His own models of excellence.
Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit, bringing us into newness of life and recognizing no mortal nor material power as able to destroy. Let us rejoice that we are subject to the divine "powers that be." Such is the true Science of being. Any other theory of Life, or God, is delusive and mythological.
Cuando comprendamos plenamente nuestra relación con el Divino, no podremos tener ninguna otra Mente que la Suya, ningún otro Amor, sabiduría o Verdad, ningún otro concepto de la Vida, y ninguna consciencia de la existencia del error o de la materia.
When we fully understand our relation to the Divine, we can have no other Mind but His, — no other Love, wisdom, or Truth, no other sense of Life, and no consciousness of the existence of matter or error.
"No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí" (Éxodo 20:3). El Primer Mandamiento es mi texto favorito. Demuestra Ciencia Cristiana. Inculca la triunidad de Dios, el Espíritu, la Mente; significa que el hombre no debe tener otro espíritu o mente sino Dios, el bien eterno, y que todos los hombres han de tener una sola Mente. El Principio divino del Primer Mandamiento es la base de la Ciencia del ser, por la cual el hombre demuestra salud, santidad y vida eterna. Un solo Dios infinito, el bien, unifica a los hombres y a las naciones; constituye la hermandad del hombre; pone fin a las guerras; cumple el mandato de las Escrituras: "Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo"; aniquila a la idolatría pagana y a la cristiana —todo lo que es injusto en los códigos sociales, civiles, criminales, políticos y religiosos; establece la igualdad de los sexos; anula la maldición que pesa sobre el hombre, y no deja nada que pueda pecar, sufrir, ser castigado o destruido./p>
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus xx. 3.) The First Commandment is my favorite text. It demonstrates Christian Science. It inculcates the triunity of God, Spirit, Mind; it signifies that man shall have no other spirit or mind but God, eternal good, and that all men shall have one Mind. The divine Principle of the First Commandment bases the Science of being, by which man demonstrates health, holiness, and life eternal. One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, "Love thy neighbor as thyself;" annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry, — whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
