14. Por esta causa doblo mis rodillas ante el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,
17. Para que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones, a fin de que, arraigados y cimentados en amor,
18. Seáis plenamente capaces de comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura, la longitud, la profundidad y la altura,
19. Y de conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede a todo conocimiento, para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios.
20. Y a Aquel que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos o entendemos, según el poder que actúa en nosotros,

14. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Leccion Sermon
7 Amados, amémonos unos a otros; porque el amor es de Dios. Todo aquel que ama, es nacido de Dios, y conoce a Dios.
8 El que no ama, no ha conocido a Dios; porque Dios es amor.
9 En esto se mostró el amor de Dios para con nosotros, en que Dios envió a su Hijo unigénito al mundo, para que vivamos por él.
10 En esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en que él nos amó a nosotros, y envió a su Hijo en propiciación por nuestros pecados.
11 Amados, si Dios nos ha amado así, debemos también nosotros amarnos unos a otros.
12 Nadie ha visto jamás a Dios. Si nos amamos unos a otros, Dios permanece en nosotros, y su amor se ha perfeccionado en nosotros.
13 En esto conocemos que permanecemos en él, y él en nosotros, en que nos ha dado de su Espíritu.
14 Y nosotros hemos visto y testificamos que el Padre ha enviado al Hijo, el Salvador del mundo.
15 Todo aquel que confiese que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios, Dios permanece en él, y él en Dios.
16 Y nosotros hemos conocido y creído el amor que Dios tiene para con nosotros. Dios es amor; y el que permanece en amor, permanece en Dios, y Dios en él.
17 En esto se ha perfeccionado el amor en nosotros, para que tengamos confianza en el día del juicio; pues como él es, así somos nosotros en este mundo.
18 En el amor no hay temor, sino que el perfecto amor echa fuera el temor;
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:

23 Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
1 Viendo la multitud, subió al monte; y sentándose, vinieron a él sus discípulos.
2 Y abriendo su boca les enseñaba, diciendo:
43 Oísteis que fue dicho: Amarás a tu prójimo, y aborrecerás a tu enemigo.
44 Pero yo os digo: Amad a vuestros enemigos, bendecid a los que os maldicen, haced bien a los que os aborrecen, y orad por los que os ultrajan y os persiguen;
45 Para que seáis hijos de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, que hace salir su sol sobre malos y buenos, y que hace llover sobre justos e injustos.
46 Porque si amáis a los que os aman, ¿qué recompensa tendréis? ¿No hacen también lo mismo los publicanos?
47 Y si saludáis a vuestros hermanos solamente, ¿qué hacéis de más? ¿No hacen también así los gentiles?
48 Sed, pues, vosotros perfectos, como vuestro Padre que está en los cielos es perfecto.
1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
36 … uno de los fariseos rogó a Jesús que comiese con él. Y habiendo entrado en casa del fariseo, se sentó a la mesa.
37 Entonces una mujer de la ciudad, que era pecadora, al saber que Jesús estaba a la mesa en casa del fariseo, trajo un frasco de alabastro con perfume;
38 Y estando detrás de él a sus pies, llorando, comenzó a regar con lágrimas sus pies, y los enjugaba con sus cabellos; y besaba sus pies, y los ungía con el perfume.
39 Cuando vio esto el fariseo que le había convidado, dijo para sí: Este, si fuera profeta, conocería quién y qué clase de mujer es la que le toca, que es pecadora.
40 Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, una cosa tengo que decirte. Y él le dijo: Di, Maestro.
41 Un acreedor tenía dos deudores: el uno le debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta;
42 Y no teniendo ellos con qué pagar, perdonó a ambos. Di, pues, ¿cuál de ellos le amará más?
43 Respondiendo Simón, dijo: Pienso que aquel a quien perdonó más. Y él le dijo: Rectamente has juzgado.
44 Y vuelto a la mujer, dijo a Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, y no me diste agua para mis pies; mas ésta ha regado mis pies con lágrimas, y los ha enjugado con sus cabellos.
45 No me diste beso; mas ésta, desde que entré, no ha cesado de besar mis pies.
46 No ungiste mi cabeza con aceite; mas ésta ha ungido con perfume mis pies.
47 Por lo cual te digo que sus muchos pecados le son perdonados, porque amó mucho; mas aquel a quien se le perdona poco, poco ama.
48 Y a ella le dijo: Tus pecados te son perdonados.
49 Y los que estaban juntamente sentados a la mesa, comenzaron a decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que también perdona pecados?

36 … one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
35 ¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada?
36 Como está escrito: Por causa de ti somos muertos todo el tiempo; Somos contados como ovejas de matadero.
37 Antes, en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó.
38 Por lo cual estoy seguro de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,
39 Ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Mirad cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, para que seamos llamados hijos de Dios; por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoció a él.
2 Amados, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y aún no se ha manifestado lo que hemos de ser; pero sabemos que cuando él se manifieste, seremos semejantes a él, porque le veremos tal como él es.
3 Y todo aquel que tiene esta esperanza en él, se purifica a sí mismo, así como él es puro.
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
El Amor divino que volvió inofensiva a la víbora venenosa, que salvó a los hombres del aceite hirviente, del horno de fuego ardiendo, de las fauces del león, puede sanar al enfermo en toda época y triunfar sobre el pecado y la muerte. Coronó las demostraciones de Jesús con poder y amor insuperables. Pero la misma "Mente... que hubo también en Cristo Jesús"* tiene que acompañar siempre la letra de la Ciencia a fin de confirmar y repetir las demostraciones antiguas de profetas y apóstoles.
The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which delivered men from the boiling oil, from the fiery furnace, from the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph over sin and death. It crowned the demonstrations of Jesus with unsurpassed power and love. But the same "Mind ... which was also in Christ Jesus" must always accompany the letter of Science in order to confirm and repeat the ancient demonstrations of prophets and apostles.
Dios es el Principio de la metafísica divina. Puesto que no hay sino un solo Dios, sólo puede haber un solo Principio divino de toda Ciencia; y tiene que haber reglas fijas para demostrar ese Principio divino. La letra de la Ciencia llega abundantemente a la humanidad hoy en día, pero su espíritu viene solamente en grados pequeños. La parte vital, el corazón y alma de la Ciencia Cristiana, es el Amor.
God is the Principle of divine metaphysics. As there is but one God, there can be but one divine Principle of all Science; and there must be fixed rules for the demonstration of this divine Principle. The letter of Science plentifully reaches humanity to-day, but its spirit comes only in small degrees. The vital part, the heart and soul of Christian Science, is Love.
Si interpretamos a Dios como un Salvador corpóreo y no como el Principio salvador, o Amor divino, continuaremos buscando la salvación por el perdón y no por la enmienda, y recurriendo a la materia, en vez de recurrir al Espíritu, para la curación de los enfermos. A medida que los mortales alcancen, mediante el conocimiento de la Ciencia Cristiana, un concepto más elevado, procurarán aprender, no de la materia, sino del Principio divino, Dios, la manera de demostrar que el Cristo, la Verdad, es el poder curativo y salvador.
By interpreting God as a corporeal Saviour but not as the saving Principle, or divine Love, we shall continue to seek salvation through pardon and not through reform, and resort to matter instead of Spirit for the cure of the sick. As mortals reach, through knowledge of Christian Science, a higher sense, they will seek to learn, not from matter, but from the divine Principle, God, how to demonstrate the Christ, Truth, as the healing and saving power.
El amor a Dios y al hombre es el verdadero incentivo en la curación y en la enseñanza. El Amor inspira el camino, lo ilumina, lo designa y va adelante en él. Los móviles rectos dan alas al pensamiento, y fuerza y soltura a la palabra y a la acción. El amor es sacerdote en el altar de la Verdad. Esperad pacientemente a que el Amor divino se mueva sobre la faz de las aguas de la mente mortal y forme el concepto perfecto.
Love for God and man is the true incentive in both healing and teaching. Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action. Love is priestess at the altar of Truth. Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept.
Si la enfermedad es real, pertenece a la inmortalidad; si es verdadera, es parte de la Verdad. ¿Intentaríais destruir, con medicamentos, o sin ellos, una cualidad o condición de la Verdad? Pero si la enfermedad y el pecado son ilusiones, el despertamiento de este sueño mortal o ilusión, nos llevará a la salud, la santidad y la inmortalidad. Ese despertar es la eterna venida del Cristo, el aparecimiento avanzado de la Verdad, que echa fuera al error y sana a los enfermos. Ésa es la salvación que viene de Dios, el Principio divino, el Amor, como fue demostrado por Jesús.
If sickness is real, it belongs to immortality; if true, it is a part of Truth. Would you attempt with drugs, or without, to destroy a quality or condition of Truth? But if sickness and sin are illusions, the awakening from this mortal dream, or illusion, will bring us into health, holiness, and immortality. This awakening is the forever coming of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth, which casts out error and heals the sick. This is the salvation which comes through God, the divine Principle, Love, as demonstrated by Jesus.
El sanador que no tiene compasión por sus semejantes es falto de afecto humano, y tenemos justificación apostólica para preguntar: "El que no ama a su hermano a quien ha visto, ¿cómo puede amar a Dios a quien no ha visto?" Si el sanador no tiene ese afecto espiritual, entonces le falta la fe en la Mente divina y carece de ese reconocimiento del Amor infinito que es lo único que confiere el poder de sanar.
The physician who lacks sympathy for his fellow-being is deficient in human affection, and we have the apostolic warrant for asking: "He that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Not having this spiritual affection, the physician lacks faith in the divine Mind and has not that recognition of infinite Love which alone confers the healing power.
Debemos formar modelos perfectos en el pensamiento y mirarlos continuamente, o nunca los esculpiremos en vidas grandes y nobles.
We must form perfect models in thought and look at them continually, or we shall never carve them out in grand and noble lives.
Si deseamos seguir a Cristo, la Verdad, debemos hacerlo en la forma señalada por Dios. Jesús dijo: "El que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago, él las hará también". El que quiera llegar a la fuente y encontrar el remedio divino para todo mal, no debe tratar de ascender la cuesta de la Ciencia tomando otro camino. Toda la naturaleza enseña el amor de Dios hacia el hombre, pero el hombre no puede amar a Dios supremamente y poner todo su afecto en cosas espirituales mientras ame lo material o confíe en ello más que en lo espiritual.
If we wish to follow Christ, Truth, it must be in the way of God's appointing. Jesus said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." He, who would reach the source and find the divine remedy for every ill, must not try to climb the hill of Science by some other road. All nature teaches God's love to man, but man cannot love God supremely and set his whole affections on spiritual things, while loving the material or trusting in it more than in the spiritual.
Son la ignorancia y las creencias falsas, basadas en un concepto material de las cosas, lo que oculta a la belleza y bondad espirituales. Comprendiendo eso, Pablo dijo: "Ni la muerte, ni la vida,... ni lo presente, ni lo por venir, ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios". It is ignorance and false belief, based on a material sense of things, which hide spiritual beauty and goodness. Understanding this, Paul said: "Neither death, nor life, ... nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God." This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.
Cada prueba de nuestra fe en Dios nos hace más fuertes. Cuanto más difícil parezca la circunstancia material que deba vencer el Espíritu, tanto más fuerte debiera ser nuestra fe y tanto más puro nuestro amor. El Apóstol Juan dice: "En el Amor no hay temor, sino que el perfecto Amor echa fuera el temor.... El que teme, no ha sido perfeccionado en el Amor". He aquí una proclamación concreta e inspirada de Ciencia Cristiana.
Every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger. The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love. The Apostle John says: "There is no fear in Love, but perfect Love casteth out fear. ... He that feareth is not made perfect in Love." Here is a definite and inspired proclamation of Christian Science.
El Maestro dijo: "Nadie viene al Padre [el Principio divino del ser], sino por mí", el Cristo, la Vida, la Verdad, el Amor; pues Cristo dice: "Yo soy el camino". The Master said, "No man cometh unto the Father [the divine Principle of being] but by me," Christ, Life, Truth, Love; for Christ says, "I am the way." Physical causation was put aside from first to last by this original man, Jesus. He knew that the divine Principle, Love, creates and governs all that is real.
El hombre comprende la existencia espiritual en la proporción en que aumenta sus tesoros de Verdad y Amor. Los mortales deben gravitar hacia Dios, espiritualizando sus afectos y propósitos —deben acercarse a interpretaciones más amplias del ser y obtener un concepto más acertado del infinito— a fin de poder despojarse del pecado y la mortalidad.

Man understands spiritual existence in proportion as his treasures of Truth and Love are enlarged. Mortals must gravitate Godward, their affections and aims grow spiritual, — they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite, — in order that sin and mortality may be put off.
This scientific sense of being, forsaking matter for Spirit, by no means suggests man's absorption into Deity and the loss of his identity, but confers upon man enlarged individuality, a wider sphere of thought and action, a more expansive love, a higher and more permanent peace.
Dejemos que el altruismo, la bondad, la misericordia, la justicia, la salud, la santidad, el amor —el reino de los cielos— reinen en nosotros, y el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte disminuirán hasta que finalmente desaparezcan.
Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love — the kingdom of heaven — reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
