1. Por tanto, hermanos santos, participantes del llamamiento celestial, considerad al apóstol y sumo sacerdote de nuestra profesión, Cristo Jesús;
3. Porque de tanto mayor gloria que Moisés es estimado digno este, cuanto tiene mayor honra que la casa el que la hizo.
4. Porque toda casa es hecha por alguno; pero el que hizo todas las cosas es Dios.
6. pero Cristo como hijo sobre su casa, la cual casa somos nosotros, si retenemos firme hasta el fin la confianza y el gloriarnos en la esperanza.

12. Mirad, hermanos, que no haya en ninguno de vosotros corazón malo de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo;

1. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.
3. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
6. But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7. Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To-day if ye will hear his voice,)
12. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.

7 …porque Jehová no mira lo que mira el hombre; pues el hombre mira lo que está delante de sus ojos, pero Jehová mira el corazón.
7 …for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
2 Y al oír Juan, en la cárcel, los hechos de Cristo, le envió dos de sus discípulos,
3 para preguntarle: ¿Eres tú aquel que había de venir, o esperaremos a otro?
4 Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Id, y haced saber a Juan las cosas que oís y veis.
5 Los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos son resucitados, y a los pobres es anunciado el evangelio;
6 y bienaventurado es el que no halle tropiezo en mí.
15 El que tiene oídos para oír, oiga.
2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
3 salió de Judea, y se fue otra vez a Galilea.
4 Y le era necesario pasar por Samaria.
7 Vino una mujer de Samaria a sacar agua;
21 Jesús le dijo: Mujer, créeme, que la hora viene cuando ni en este monte ni en Jerusalén adoraréis al Padre.
22 Vosotros adoráis lo que no sabéis; nosotros adoramos lo que sabemos; porque la salvación viene de los judíos.
23 Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque también el Padre tales adoradores busca que le adoren.
24 Dios es Espíritu; y los que le adoran, en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren.
25 Le dijo la mujer: Sé que ha de venir el Mesías, llamado el Cristo; cuando él venga nos declarará todas las cosas.
26 Jesús le dijo: Yo soy, el que habla contigo.
28 Entonces la mujer dejó su cántaro, y fue a la ciudad, y dijo a los hombres:
29 Venid, ved a un hombre que me ha dicho todo cuanto he hecho. ¿No será este el Cristo?

3 He left Judæa, and departed again into Galilee.
4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water:
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
1 Entonces se acercaron a Jesús ciertos escribas y fariseos de Jerusalén, diciendo:
2 ¿Por qué tus discípulos quebrantan la tradición de los ancianos? Porque no se lavan las manos cuando comen pan.
3 Respondiendo él, les dijo: ¿Por qué también vosotros quebrantáis el mandamiento de Dios por vuestra tradición?
7 Hipócritas, bien profetizó de vosotros Isaías, cuando dijo:
8 Este pueblo de labios me honra; Mas su corazón está lejos de mí.
9 Pues en vano me honran, Enseñando como doctrinas, mandamientos de hombres.
10 Y llamando a sí a la multitud, les dijo: Oíd, y entended:
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
46 Entonces vinieron a Jericó; y al salir de Jericó él y sus discípulos y una gran multitud, Bartimeo el ciego, hijo de Timeo, estaba sentado junto al camino mendigando.
47 Y oyendo que era Jesús nazareno, comenzó a dar voces y a decir: ¡Jesús, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí!
48 Y muchos le reprendían para que callase, pero él clamaba mucho más: ¡Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí!
49 Entonces Jesús, deteniéndose, mandó llamarle; y llamaron al ciego, diciéndole: Ten confianza; levántate, te llama.
50 Él entonces, arrojando su capa, se levantó y vino a Jesús.
51 Respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: ¿Qué quieres que te haga? Y el ciego le dijo: Maestro, que recobre la vista.

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
1 Después de esto, Jesús se manifestó otra vez a sus discípulos junto al mar de Tiberias; y se manifestó de esta manera:
2 Estaban juntos Simón Pedro, Tomás llamado el Dídimo, Natanael el de Caná de Galilea, los hijos de Zebedeo, y otros dos de sus discípulos.
3 Simón Pedro les dijo: Voy a pescar. Ellos le dijeron: Vamos nosotros también contigo. Fueron, y entraron en una barca; y aquella noche no pescaron nada.
4 Cuando ya iba amaneciendo, se presentó Jesús en la playa; mas los discípulos no sabían que era Jesús.
5 Y les dijo: Hijitos, ¿tenéis algo de comer? Le respondieron: No.
6 Él les dijo: Echad la red a la derecha de la barca, y hallaréis. Entonces la echaron, y ya no la podían sacar, por la gran cantidad de peces.
7 Entonces aquel discípulo a quien Jesús amaba dijo a Pedro: ¡Es el Señor!
12 Les dijo Jesús: Venid, comed. Y ninguno de los discípulos se atrevía a preguntarle: ¿Tú, quién eres? sabiendo que era el Señor.
13 Vino, pues, Jesús, y tomó el pan y les dio, y asimismo del pescado.
1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
1 A todos los sedientos: Venid a las aguas; y los que no tienen dinero, venid, comprad y comed. Venid, comprad sin dinero y sin precio, vino y leche.
3 Inclinad vuestro oído, y venid a mí; oíd, y vivirá vuestra alma; y haré con vosotros pacto eterno, las misericordias firmes a David.
1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
7 El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias. Al que venciere, le daré a comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraíso de Dios.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
A fin de razonar correctamente, debiera haber un solo hecho ante el pensamiento, a saber: la existencia espiritual.
For right reasoning there should be but one fact before the thought, namely, spiritual existence.
Toda realidad está en Dios y Su creación, armoniosa y eterna. Lo que Él crea es bueno, y Él hace todo lo que es hecho.
All reality is in God and His creation, harmonious and eternal. That which He creates is good, and He makes all that is made.
La realidad espiritual es la verdad científica en todas las cosas. La realidad espiritual, repetida en la acción del hombre y de todo el universo, es armoniosa y es el ideal de la Verdad. Las realidades espirituales no están invertidas; la opuesta discordia, que no tiene semejanza con la espiritualidad, no es real.
The spiritual reality is the scientific fact in all things. The spiritual fact, repeated in the action of man and the whole universe, is harmonious and is the ideal of Truth. Spiritual facts are not inverted; the opposite discord, which bears no resemblance to spirituality, is not real.
Para comprender la realidad y el orden del ser en su Ciencia, tenéis que empezar por reconocer que Dios es el Principio divino de todo lo que realmente existe. El Espíritu, la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor se combinan en uno —y son los nombres bíblicos de Dios. Toda sustancia, inteligencia, sabiduría, existencia, inmortalidad, causa y efecto pertenecen a Dios. Ésos son Sus atributos, las eternas manifestaciones del Principio divino e infinito, el Amor. Ninguna sabiduría es sabia, sino Su sabiduría; ninguna verdad es verdadera, sino la Verdad divina; ningún amor es bello, sino el Amor divino; ninguna vida es Vida, sino la divina; ningún bien existe, sino el bien que Dios concede.
To grasp the reality and order of being in its Science, you must begin by reckoning God as the divine Principle of all that really is. Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, combine as one, — and are the Scriptural names for God. All substance, intelligence, wisdom, being, immortality, cause, and effect belong to God. These are His attributes, the eternal manifestations of the infinite divine Principle, Love. No wisdom is wise but His wisdom; no truth is true, no love is lovely, no life is Life but the divine; no good is, but the good God bestows.
Todo lo que sabemos correctamente acerca del Espíritu viene de Dios, el Principio divino, y se aprende mediante el Cristo y la Ciencia Cristiana. Si esa Ciencia se ha aprendido a fondo y asimilado debidamente, podemos conocer la verdad más exactamente de lo que puede el astrónomo leer las estrellas o calcular un eclipse. Leer la Mente así es lo opuesto de la clarividencia. Es la iluminación de la comprensión espiritual que demuestra la capacidad del Alma, no la del sentido material. Ese sentido del Alma viene a la mente humana cuando ésta se somete a la Mente divina.
Tales intuiciones revelan todo lo que constituye y perpetúa la armonía, capacitándonos para hacer el bien, pero no el mal. Alcanzaréis la Ciencia perfecta de la curación cuando seáis capaces de leer la mente humana de esa manera y percibir el error que queráis destruir. La samaritana dijo: "Venid, ved a un hombre que me ha dicho todo cuanto he hecho. ¿No será éste el Cristo?"
All we correctly know of Spirit comes from God, divine Principle, and is learned through Christ and Christian Science. If this Science has been thoroughly learned and properly digested, we can know the truth more accurately than the astronomer can read the stars or calculate an eclipse. This Mind-reading is the opposite of clairvoyance. It is the illumination of the spiritual understanding which demonstrates the capacity of Soul, not of material sense. This Soul-sense comes to the human mind when the latter yields to the divine Mind.
Such intuitions reveal whatever constitutes and perpetuates harmony, enabling one to do good, but not evil. You will reach the perfect Science of healing when you are able to read the human mind after this manner and discern the error you would destroy. The Samaritan woman said: "Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?"
Puesto que Dios es Todo, no hay lugar para Su desemejanza. Sólo Dios, el Espíritu, lo creó todo y lo llamó bueno. Por tanto, el mal, siendo contrario al bien, es irreal, y no puede ser el producto de Dios.
Since God is All, there is no room for His unlikeness. God, Spirit, alone created all, and called it good. Therefore evil, being contrary to good, is unreal, and cannot be the product of God.
Las Escrituras dicen: "En Él vivimos, y nos movemos, y somos". ¿Qué es entonces ese aparente poder, independiente de Dios, que causa la enfermedad y la sana? ¿Qué es, sino un error de creencia —una ley de la mente mortal, que se equivoca en todo sentido e incluye pecado, enfermedad y muerte? Es el antípoda mismo de la Mente inmortal, de la Verdad y de la ley espiritual. No está de acuerdo con la bondad del carácter de Dios, enfermar al hombre y luego abandonarlo para que se sane a sí mismo; es absurdo suponer que la materia pueda causar la enfermedad y también sanarla o que el Espíritu, Dios, produzca la enfermedad y deje el remedio a la materia.
The Scriptures say, "In Him we live, and move, and have our being." What then is this seeming power, independent of God, which causes disease and cures it? What is it but an error of belief, — a law of mortal mind, wrong in every sense, embracing sin, sickness, and death? It is the very antipode of immortal Mind, of Truth, and of spiritual law. It is not in accordance with the goodness of God's character that He should make man sick, then leave man to heal himself; it is absurd to suppose that matter can both cause and cure disease, or that Spirit, God, produces disease and leaves the remedy to matter.
Debemos abandonar la farmacéutica y emprender el estudio de la ontología —"la ciencia del ser verdadero". Debemos examinar profundamente la realidad en vez de aceptar sólo el significado exterior de las cosas. ¿Acaso podemos recoger melocotones de un pino o aprender de la discordia la concordia del ser? Sin embargo, así de racionales son algunas de las ilusiones predominantes que se hallan a lo largo del sendero que la Ciencia tiene que recorrer en su misión reformadora entre los mortales. El nombre mismo, ilusión, señala la nada.
We must abandon pharmaceutics, and take up ontology, — "the science of real being." We must look deep into realism instead of accepting only the outward sense of things. Can we gather peaches from a pine-tree, or learn from discord the concord of being? Yet quite as rational are some of the leading illusions along the path which Science must tread in its reformatory mission among mortals. The very name, illusion, points to nothingness.
Es posible que tanto los judíos como los gentiles hayan tenido sentidos corporales agudos, pero los mortales necesitan el sentido espiritual. Jesús sabía que esa generación era mala y adúltera, que buscaba lo material más que lo espiritual. Sus ataques contra el materialismo eran violentos pero necesarios. Jamás se abstuvo de condenar a la hipocresía con la mayor severidad.
Both Jew and Gentile may have had acute corporeal senses, but mortals need spiritual sense. Jesus knew the generation to be wicked and adulterous, seeking the material more than the spiritual. His thrusts at materialism were sharp, but needed. He never spared hypocrisy the sternest condemnation.
A los niños debiera enseñárseles la Ciencia Cristiana, o sea, la curación por la Verdad, entre sus primeras lecciones, evitando que hablen de teorías o pensamientos acerca de la enfermedad o que los abriguen. Para evitar que vuestros hijos experimenten error y sus sufrimientos, no permitáis que entren en su mente pensamientos pecaminosos o enfermizos. Estos últimos deben excluirse sobre el mismo principio que los anteriores. Eso hace accesible a la Ciencia Cristiana a edad temprana.
Algunos enfermos son reacios a conocer la verdad o a enterarse de la falacia de la materia y sus supuestas leyes. Se entregan un poco más a sus dioses materiales, se aferran a una creencia en la vida e inteligencia de la materia y esperan que ese error haga por ellos más de lo que están dispuestos a admitir que el único Dios viviente y verdadero pueda hacer. Impacientes con vuestras explicaciones y reacios a investigar la Ciencia de la Mente, que les liberaría de sus padecimientos, se aferran a las creencias falsas y sufren las consecuencias engañosas.
Children should be taught the Truth-cure, Christian Science, among their first lessons, and kept from discussing or entertaining theories or thoughts about sickness. To prevent the experience of error and its sufferings, keep out of the minds of your children either sinful or diseased thoughts. The latter should be excluded on the same principle as the former. This makes Christian Science early available.
Some invalids are unwilling to know the facts or to hear about the fallacy of matter and its supposed laws. They devote themselves a little longer to their material gods, cling to a belief in the life and intelligence of matter, and expect this error to do more for them than they are willing to admit the only living and true God can do. Impatient at your explanation, unwilling to investigate the Science of Mind which would rid them of their complaints, they hug false beliefs and suffer the delusive consequences.
A medida que los mortales alcancen conceptos más correctos de Dios y del hombre, innumerables objetos de la creación, que antes eran invisibles, se harán visibles. Cuando comprendamos que la Vida es Espíritu, nunca en la materia ni de la materia, esa comprensión se desarrollará en autocompleción, encontrándolo todo en Dios, el bien, sin necesitar ninguna otra consciencia.
El Espíritu y sus formaciones son las únicas realidades del ser. La materia desaparece bajo el microscopio del Espíritu. El pecado no es apoyado por la Verdad, y la enfermedad y la muerte fueron vencidas por Jesús, quien demostró que eran formas del error. La vida y la felicidad espirituales son las únicas evidencias por medio de las cuales podemos reconocer la existencia verdadera y sentir la paz inefable que viene de un amor espiritual que le absorbe a uno por completo.
Cuando aprendamos el camino en la Ciencia Cristiana y reconozcamos al ser espiritual del hombre, veremos y comprenderemos la creación de Dios —todas las glorias de la tierra y del cielo y del hombre.
As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were invisible, will become visible. When we realize that Life is Spirit, never in nor of matter, this understanding will expand into self-completeness, finding all in God, good, and needing no other consciousness.
Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being. Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit. Sin is unsustained by Truth, and sickness and death were overcome by Jesus, who proved them to be forms of error. Spiritual living and blessedness are the only evidences, by which we can recognize true existence and feel the unspeakable peace which comes from an all-absorbing spiritual love.
When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man's spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God's creation, — all the glories of earth and heaven and man.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
