“Considera al íntegro, y mira al justo; Porque hay un final dichoso para el hombre de paz.”
“Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.”
1. Bienaventurado el varón que no anduvo en consejo de malos, Ni estuvo en camino de pecadores, Ni en silla de escarnecedores se ha sentado;
2. Sino que en la ley de Jehová está su delicia, Y en su ley medita de día y de noche.
3. Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas, Que da su fruto en su tiempo, Y su hoja no cae; Y todo lo que hace, prosperará.
4. No así los malos, Que son como el tamo que arrebata el viento.
5. Por tanto, no se levantarán los malos en el juicio, Ni los pecadores en la congregación de los justos.
6. Porque Jehová conoce el camino de los justos; Mas la senda de los malos perecerá.
1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 Alaba, oh alma mía, a Jehová.
2 Alabaré a Jehová en mi vida; Cantaré salmos a mi Dios mientras viva.
3 No confiéis en los príncipes, Ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salvación.
4 Pues sale su aliento, y vuelve a la tierra; En ese mismo día perecen sus pensamientos.
5 Bienaventurado aquel cuyo ayudador es el Dios de Jacob, Cuya esperanza está en Jehová su Dios:
6 El cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, El mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; Que guarda verdad para siempre:
7 Que hace justicia a los agraviados, Que da pan a los hambrientos:
8 Jehová abre los ojos a los ciegos; Jehová levanta a los caídos; Jehová ama a los justos:
9 Jehová guarda a los extranjeros; Al huérfano y a la viuda sostiene, Y el camino de los impíos trastorna.
10 Reinará Jehová para siempre; Tu Dios, oh Sion, de generación en generación. Aleluya.

1 Al pasar Jesús, vio a un hombre ciego de nacimiento.
2 Y le preguntaron sus discípulos, diciendo: Rabí, ¿quién pecó, este o sus padres, para que haya nacido ciego?
3 Respondió Jesús: No es que pecó este, ni sus padres, sino para que las obras de Dios se manifiesten en él.
4 Me es necesario hacer las obras del que me envió, entre tanto que el día dura; la noche viene, cuando nadie puede trabajar.
5 Entre tanto que estoy en el mundo, luz soy del mundo.
6 Dicho esto, escupió en tierra, e hizo lodo con la saliva, y untó con el lodo los ojos del ciego,
7 y le dijo: Ve a lavarte en el estanque de Siloé (que traducido es, Enviado). Fue entonces, y se lavó, y regresó viendo.
8 Entonces los vecinos, y los que antes le habían visto que era ciego, decían: ¿No es este el que se sentaba y mendigaba?
9 Unos decían: Él es; y otros: A él se parece. Él decía: Yo soy.
10 Y le dijeron: ¿Cómo te fueron abiertos los ojos?
11 Respondió él y dijo: Aquel hombre que se llama Jesús hizo lodo, me untó los ojos, y me dijo: Ve al Siloé, y lávate; y fui, y me lavé, y recibí la vista.
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
31 dijo Jesús: Ahora es glorificado el Hijo del Hombre, y Dios es glorificado en él.
31 Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
1 Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador.
2 Todo pámpano que en mí no lleva fruto, lo quitará; y todo aquel que lleva fruto, lo limpiará, para que lleve más fruto.
3 Ya vosotros estáis limpios por la palabra que os he hablado.
4 Permaneced en mí, y yo en vosotros. Como el pámpano no puede llevar fruto por sí mismo, si no permanece en la vid, así tampoco vosotros, si no permanecéis en mí.
5 Yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos; el que permanece en mí, y yo en él, este lleva mucho fruto; porque separados de mí nada podéis hacer.
6 El que en mí no permanece, será echado fuera como pámpano, y se secará; y los recogen, y los echan en el fuego, y arden.
7 Si permanecéis en mí, y mis palabras permanecen en vosotros, pedid todo lo que queréis, y os será hecho.
8 En esto es glorificado mi Padre, en que llevéis mucho fruto, y seáis así mis discípulos.
9 Como el Padre me ha amado, así también yo os he amado; permaneced en mi amor.
10 Si guardareis mis mandamientos, permaneceréis en mi amor; así como yo he guardado los mandamientos de mi Padre, y permanezco en su amor.
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
35 ¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada?
38 Por lo cual estoy seguro de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,
39 ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 Confía en Jehová, y haz el bien; Y habitarás en la tierra, y te apacentarás de la verdad.
4 Deléitate asimismo en Jehová, Y él te concederá las peticiones de tu corazón.
5 Encomienda a Jehová tu camino, Y confía en él; y él hará.
6 Exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, Y tu derecho como el mediodía.
7 Guarda silencio ante Jehová, y espera en él.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
4 Cuando Cristo, vuestra vida, se manifieste, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con él en gloria.
12 Vestíos, pues, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, de entrañable misericordia, de benignidad, de humildad, de mansedumbre, de paciencia;
13 soportándoos unos a otros, y perdonándoos unos a otros si alguno tuviere queja contra otro. De la manera que Cristo os perdonó, así también hacedlo vosotros.
14 Y sobre todas estas cosas vestíos de amor, que es el vínculo perfecto.
15 Y la paz de Dios gobierne en vuestros corazones, a la que asimismo fuisteis llamados en un solo cuerpo; y sed agradecidos.
16 La palabra de Cristo more en abundancia en vosotros, enseñándoos y exhortándoos unos a otros en toda sabiduría, cantando con gracia en vuestros corazones al Señor con salmos e himnos y cánticos espirituales.
17 Y todo lo que hacéis, sea de palabra o de hecho, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias a Dios Padre por medio de él.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Tal como una gota de agua es una con el mar, un rayo de luz uno con el sol, así Dios y el hombre, Padre e hijo, son uno en el ser. Las Escrituras dicen: "Porque en Él vivimos, y nos movemos, y somos".
As a drop of water is one with the ocean, a ray of light one with the sun, even so God and man, Father and son, are one in being. The Scripture reads: "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being."
Jesús de Nazaret enseñó y demostró la unidad del hombre con el Padre, y por eso le debemos homenaje eterno. Su misión fue a la vez individual y colectiva. Él hizo bien la obra de la vida, no sólo en justicia para consigo mismo, sino por misericordia para con los mortales —para enseñarles a hacerla ellos mismos pero no para hacerla por ellos ni para eximirlos de una sola responsabilidad.
Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage. His mission was both individual and collective. He did life's work aright not only in justice to himself, but in mercy to mortals, — to show them how to do theirs, but not to do it for them nor to relieve them of a single responsibility.
Sabiendo que el Alma y sus atributos se manifestaban eternamente por medio del hombre, el Maestro sanaba a los enfermos, daba vista a los ciegos, oído a los sordos, pies a los cojos, revelando así la acción científica de la Mente divina sobre mentes y cuerpos humanos, y dando una mejor comprensión del Alma y la salvación. Jesús sanó la enfermedad y el pecado por un mismo procedimiento metafísico.
Knowing that Soul and its attributes were forever manifested through man, the Master healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, feet to the lame, thus bringing to light the scientific action of the divine Mind on human minds and bodies and giving a better understanding of Soul and salvation. Jesus healed sickness and sin by one and the same metaphysical process.
La transmisión hereditaria no es una ley. La causa o creencia remota de la enfermedad no es peligrosa por su prioridad y por la conexión de los pensamientos mortales del pasado con los del presente. Tanto la causa predisponente como la causa ocasional son mentales.
Quizás un adulto tenga una deformidad producida antes de su nacimiento por un susto que pasó su madre. Una vez que es arrebatado ese caso crónico de la creencia humana y es basado en la Ciencia o la Mente divina, para la cual todas las cosas son posibles, no es difícil de curar.
Heredity is not a law. The remote cause or belief of disease is not dangerous because of its priority and the connection of past mortal thoughts with present. The predisposing cause and the exciting cause are mental.
Perhaps an adult has a deformity produced prior to his birth by the fright of his mother. When wrested from human belief and based on Science or the divine Mind, to which all things are possible, that chronic case is not difficult to cure.
Son la ignorancia y las creencias falsas, basadas en un concepto material de las cosas, lo que oculta a la belleza y bondad espirituales. Comprendiendo eso, Pablo dijo: "Ni la muerte, ni la vida,... ni lo presente, ni lo por venir, ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios". Ésta es la doctrina de la Ciencia Cristiana: que el Amor divino no puede ser privado de su manifestación u objeto; que el gozo no puede convertirse en pesar, porque el pesar no es el vencedor del gozo; que el bien nunca puede producir el mal; que la materia jamás puede producir a la mente, ni la vida resultar en muerte. El hombre perfecto —gobernado por Dios, su Principio perfecto— es sin pecado y eterno.
La armonía es producida por su Principio, está gobernada por él y mora en él. El Principio divino es la Vida del hombre. La felicidad del hombre no está, por lo tanto, a merced del sentido físico. La Verdad no se contamina con el error. La armonía en el hombre es tan bella como en la música, y la discordancia es contranatural, irreal.
La ciencia de la música gobierna los tonos. Si los mortales percibieran la armonía por medio de los sentidos materiales, la perderían si el tiempo o un accidente los privara de los sentidos materiales. Para saber a fondo los acordes y las disonancias, hay que comprender la ciencia de la música. Dejada a las decisiones del sentido material, la música puede ser mal interpretada y perderse en confusión. Cuando la música es gobernada por la creencia, en vez de la comprensión, es expresada, por fuerza, imperfectamente. Así también el hombre, al no comprender la Ciencia del ser —al rechazar el Principio divino de él por parecerle incomprensible— queda abandonado a las conjecturas, dejado en manos de la ignorancia, puesto a disposición de las ilusiones, sujeto al sentido material, que es discordancia. Un mortal descontento, discordante, no es un hombre, como tampoco la discordancia es música.
Un retrato en la cámara oscura o una cara reflejada en el espejo no es el original, aunque se parezca a él. El hombre, en la semejanza de su Hacedor, refleja la luz central del ser, el Dios invisible. Así como no hay corporeidad en la forma que aparece en el espejo, la cual no es sino un reflejo, así el hombre, como todas las cosas reales, refleja a Dios, su Principio divino — mas no en un cuerpo mortal.
It is ignorance and false belief, based on a material sense of things, which hide spiritual beauty and goodness. Understanding this, Paul said: "Neither death, nor life, ... nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God." This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man — governed by God, his perfect Principle — is sinless and eternal.
Harmony is produced by its Principle, is controlled by it and abides with it. Divine Principle is the Life of man. Man's happiness is not, therefore, at the disposal of physical sense. Truth is not contaminated by error. Harmony in man is as beautiful as in music, and discord is unnatural, unreal.
The science of music governs tones. If mortals caught harmony through material sense, they would lose harmony, if time or accident robbed them of material sense. To be master of chords and discords, the science of music must be understood. Left to the decisions of material sense, music is liable to be misapprehended and lost in confusion. Controlled by belief, instead of understanding, music is, must be, imperfectly expressed. So man, not understanding the Science of being, — thrusting aside his divine Principle as incomprehensible, — is abandoned to conjectures, left in the hands of ignorance, placed at the disposal of illusions, subjected to material sense which is discord. A discontented, discordant mortal is no more a man than discord is music.
A picture in the camera or a face reflected in the mirror is not the original, though resembling it. Man, in the likeness of his Maker, reflects the central light of being, the invisible God. As there is no corporeality in the mirrored form, which is but a reflection, so man, like all things real, reflects God, his divine Principle, not in a mortal body.
Dios, sin Su propia imagen y semejanza, no tendría entidad, sería una Mente inexpresada. No tendría testigo o prueba de Su naturaleza. El hombre espiritual es la imagen o idea de Dios, una idea que no puede perderse ni separarse de su Principio divino. Cuando el testimonio de los sentidos materiales cedió al sentido espiritual, el apóstol declaró que nada podia separarle de Dios, de la dulce sensación y presencia de la Vida y la Verdad.
God, without the image and likeness of Himself, would be a nonentity, or Mind unexpressed. He would be without a witness or proof of His own nature. Spiritual man is the image or idea of God, an idea which cannot be lost nor separated from its divine Principle. When the evidence before the material senses yielded to spiritual sense, the apostle declared that nothing could alienate him from God, from the sweet sense and presence of Life and Truth.
… el hombre no puede ser separado ni por un instante de Dios, si el hombre refleja a Dios. Por lo tanto, la Ciencia prueba que la existencia del hombre está intacta.
...man cannot be separated for an instant from God, if man reflects God. Thus Science proves man's existence to be intact.
En Colosenses (3:4) Pablo escribe: "Cuando Cristo, vuestra vida, se manifieste, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con él en gloria". Cuando el ser espiritual se comprenda en toda su perfección, continuidad y poder, entonces se verá que el hombre es imagen de Dios. El significado absoluto de las palabras apostólicas es este: Entonces se verá que el hombre, a Su semejanza, es perfecto como el Padre, indestructible en la Vida, y que está "escondido con Cristo en Dios" —con la Verdad en el Amor divino, donde el sentido humano no ha visto al hombre.
Viene el tiempo en que el origen espiritual del hombre, la Ciencia divina que trajo a Jesús a la presencia humana, será comprendido y demostrado.
In Colossians (iii. 4) Paul writes: "When Christ, who is our life, shall appear [be manifested], then shall ye also appear [be manifested] with him in glory." When spiritual being is understood in all its perfection, continuity, and might, then shall man be found in God's image. The absolute meaning of the apostolic words is this: Then shall man be found, in His likeness, perfect as the Father, indestructible in Life, "hid with Christ in God," — with Truth in divine Love, where human sense hath not seen man.
The time cometh when the spiritual origin of man, the divine Science which ushered Jesus into human presence, will be understood and demonstrated.
… el hombre es el reflejo de Dios, o Mente, y, por tanto, es eterno; lo que no tiene mente separada de Dios; lo que no tiene ni una sola cualidad que no derive de la Deidad; lo que no posee, de sí mismo, ni vida ni inteligencia ni poder creativo, sino que refleja espiritualmente todo lo que pertenece a su Hacedor.
...man is the reflection of God, or Mind, and therefore is eternal; that which has no separate mind from God; that which has not a single quality underived from Deity; that which possesses no life, intelligence, nor creative power of his own, but reflects spiritually all that belongs to his Maker.
Dios, el Principio divino del hombre, y el hombre a semejanza de Dios son inseparables, armoniosos y eternos.
God, the divine Principle of man, and man in God's likeness are inseparable, harmonious, and eternal.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
