“Porque he aquí, el que forma los montes, y crea el viento, y anuncia al hombre su pensamiento; el que hace de las tinieblas mañana, y pasa sobre las alturas de la tierra; Jehová Dios de los ejércitos es su nombre.”
“For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.”
5. Celebrarán los cielos tus maravillas, oh Jehová, Tu verdad también en la congregación de los santos.
6. Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará a Jehová?
8. Oh Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿Quién como tú? Poderoso eres, Jehová, Y tu fidelidad te rodea.
9. Tú tienes dominio sobre la braveza del mar; Cuando se levantan sus ondas, tú las sosiegas.

5. The heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6. For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?

9. Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
11. The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

15. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

1 Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, Y el firmamento anuncia la obra de sus manos.
2 Un día emite palabra a otro día, Y una noche a otra noche declara sabiduría.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
1 En el principio creó Dios los cielos y la tierra.
26 Entonces dijo Dios: Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, conforme a nuestra semejanza; y señoree en los peces del mar, en las aves de los cielos, en las bestias, en toda la tierra, y en todo animal que se arrastra sobre la tierra.
27 Y creó Dios al hombre a su imagen, a imagen de Dios lo creó; varón y hembra los creó.
28 Y los bendijo Dios, y les dijo: Fructificad y multiplicaos; llenad la tierra, y sojuzgadla, y señoread en los peces del mar, en las aves de los cielos, y en todas las bestias que se mueven sobre la tierra.

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

7 …ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
1 Aconteció… que Jehová habló a Josué hijo de Nun, servidor de Moisés, diciendo,
2 Mi siervo Moisés ha muerto; ahora, pues, levántate y pasa este Jordán, tú y todo este pueblo, a la tierra que yo les doy a los hijos de Israel.
3 Yo os he entregado, como lo había dicho a Moisés, todo lugar que pisare la planta de vuestro pie.
5 Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida; como estuve con Moisés, estaré contigo; no te dejaré, ni te desampararé.
10 Y Josué mandó a los oficiales del pueblo, diciendo,

2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
5 … Santificaos, porque Jehová hará mañana maravillas entre vosotros.
6 Y habló Josué a los sacerdotes, diciendo: Tomad el arca del pacto, y pasad delante del pueblo. Y ellos tomaron el arca del pacto y fueron delante del pueblo.
7 Entonces Jehová dijo a Josué: Desde este día comenzaré a engrandecerte delante de los ojos de todo Israel, para que entiendan que como estuve con Moisés, así estaré contigo.
15 cuando los que llevaban el arca entraron en el Jordán, y los pies de los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca fueron mojados a la orilla del agua (porque el Jordán suele desbordarse por todas sus orillas todo el tiempo de la siega),
16 las aguas que venían de arriba se detuvieron como en un montón bien lejos de la ciudad de Adam, que está al lado de Saretán:
17 Mas los sacerdotes que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, estuvieron en seco, firmes en medio del Jordán, hasta que todo el pueblo hubo acabado de pasar el Jordán; y todo Israel pasó en seco.
5 …Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
7 And the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.
15 And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)
16 That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan:
17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
1 Cuando salió Israel de Egipto, La casa de Jacob del pueblo extranjero;
2 Judá vino a ser su santuario, E Israel su señorío.
3 El mar lo vio, y huyó; El Jordán se volvió atrás.

7 A la presencia de Jehová tiembla la tierra, A la presencia del Dios de Jacob;
8 El cual cambió la peña en estanque de aguas, Y en fuente de aguas la roca.
1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
7 … Jesús se retiró al mar con sus discípulos, y le siguió gran multitud de Galilea. Y de Judea,
8 de Jerusalén, de Idumea, del otro lado del Jordán, y de los alrededores de Tiro y de Sidón, oyendo cuán grandes cosas hacía, grandes multitudes vinieron a él.
9 Y dijo a sus discípulos que le tuviesen siempre lista la barca, a causa del gentío, para que no le oprimiesen.
10 Porque había sanado a muchos;

8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumæa, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

35 Aquel día, cuando llegó la noche, les dijo: Pasemos al otro lado.
36 Y despidiendo a la multitud, le tomaron como estaba, en la barca; y había también con él otras barcas.
37 Pero se levantó una gran tempestad de viento, y echaba las olas en la barca, de tal manera que ya se anegaba.
38 Y él estaba en la popa, durmiendo sobre un cabezal; y le despertaron, y le dijeron: Maestro, ¿no tienes cuidado que perecemos?
39 Y levantándose, reprendió al viento, y dijo al mar: Calla, enmudece. Y cesó el viento, y se hizo grande bonanza.
40 Y les dijo: ¿Por qué estáis así amedrentados? ¿Cómo no tenéis fe?
41 Entonces temieron con gran temor, y se decían el uno al otro: ¿Quién es este, que aun el viento y el mar le obedecen?
35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
1 De Jehová es la tierra y su plenitud; El mundo, y los que en él habitan.
2 Porque él la fundó sobre los mares, Y la afirmó sobre los ríos.
10 ¿Quién es este Rey de gloria? Jehová de los ejércitos, Él es el Rey de la gloria.
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Dios crea y gobierna el universo, incluso el hombre. El universo está lleno de ideas espirituales, que Dios desarrolla, y éstas obedecen a la Mente que las crea.
God creates and governs the universe, including man. The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them.
… el hombre, reflejando el poder de Dios, tiene dominio sobre toda la tierra y sus huestes.
…man, reflecting God's power, has dominion over all the earth and its hosts.
Los mortales nunca podrán comprender la creación de Dios mientras crean que el hombre es un creador. Los hijos de Dios, ya creados, serán reconocidos sólo cuando el hombre llegue a conocer la verdad del ser. Así es que el hombre real e ideal aparece en la proporción en que desaparece el falso y material. … El comprender espiritualmente que no hay sino un solo creador, Dios, revela toda la creación, confirma las Escrituras, trae la dulce seguridad de que no hay separación ni dolor y que el hombre es imperecedero, perfecto y eterno.
Mortals can never understand God's creation while believing that man is a creator. God's children already created will be cognized only as man finds the truth of being. Thus it is that the real, ideal man appears in proportion as the false and material disappears. … Spiritually to understand that there is but one creator, God, unfolds all creation, confirms the Scriptures, brings the sweet assurance of no parting, no pain, and of man deathless and perfect and eternal.
El universo, lo mismo que el hombre, debe ser interpretado por la Ciencia desde su Principio divino, Dios, y entonces puede comprenderse; pero cuando se explica sobre la base del sentido físico y se representa como sujeto a desarrollo, madurez y decadencia, el universo, lo mismo que el hombre, es, y tiene que continuar siendo, un enigma.
La adhesión, la cohesión y la atracción son propiedades de la Mente. Pertenecen al Principio divino y sostienen el equilibrio de esa fuerza del pensamiento que lanzó a la tierra en su órbita y dijo a la ola orgullosa: "Hasta aquí, y no más".
El Espíritu es la vida, la sustancia y la continuidad de todas las cosas. Andamos sobre fuerzas. Retiradlas, y la creación forzosamente se desplomará. El conocimiento humano las llama fuerzas de la materia; pero la Ciencia divina declara que pertenecen por entero a la Mente divina, que son inherentes a esa Mente, y así las restituye a su justo lugar y clasificación.
The universe, like man, is to be interpreted by Science from its divine Principle, God, and then it can be understood; but when explained on the basis of physical sense and represented as subject to growth, maturity, and decay, the universe, like man, is, and must continue to be, an enigma.
Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind. They belong to divine Principle, and support the equipoise of that thought-force, which launched the earth in its orbit and said to the proud wave, "Thus far and no farther."
Spirit is the life, substance, and continuity of all things. We tread on forces. Withdraw them, and creation must collapse. Human knowledge calls them forces of matter; but divine Science declares that they belong wholly to divine Mind, are inherent in this Mind, and so restores them to their rightful home and classification.
El mundo se desplomaría sin la Mente, sin la inteligencia que mantiene los vientos en sus puños. Ni la filosofía ni el escepticismo pueden impedir la marcha de la Ciencia que revela la supremacía de la Mente. El inmanente sentido del poder de la Mente realza la gloria de la Mente. La cercanía, no la distancia, da encanto a esa perspectiva.
Los minerales compuestos o las sustancias agregadas que componen la tierra, las relaciones que las masas constituyentes mantienen entre sí, las magnitudes, distancias y revoluciones de los cuerpos celestes, no tienen importancia verdadera cuando recordamos que todo eso tiene que dar lugar a la realidad espiritual por la traslación del hombre y el universo nuevamente al Espíritu. En la proporción en que eso se haga, se revelará que el hombre y el universo son armoniosos y eternos.
The world would collapse without Mind, without the intelligence which holds the winds in its grasp. Neither philosophy nor skepticism can hinder the march of the Science which reveals the supremacy of Mind. The immanent sense of Mind-power enhances the glory of Mind. Nearness, not distance, lends enchantment to this view.
The compounded minerals or aggregated substances composing the earth, the relations which constituent masses hold to each other, the magnitudes, distances, and revolutions of the celestial bodies, are of no real importance, when we remember that they all must give place to the spiritual fact by the translation of man and the universe back into Spirit. In proportion as this is done, man and the universe will be found harmonious and eternal.
El poder que yerra es una creencia material, una mal llamada fuerza que es ciega, el producto de la voluntad y no de la sabiduría, de la mente mortal y no de la inmortal. Es la catarata que se despeña, la llama devoradora, el soplo de la tempestad. Es rayo y huracán, todo lo que es egoísta, malvado, ímprobo e impuro.
El poder moral y espiritual pertenece al Espíritu, que mantiene "los vientos en Sus puños"; y esa enseñanza concuerda con la Ciencia y la armonía. En la Ciencia no puede existir ningún poder opuesto a Dios, y los sentidos físicos tienen que abandonar su falso testimonio. Vuestra influencia para bien depende del peso que echéis en el platillo correcto de la balanza. El bien que hacéis e incorporáis os da el único poder obtenible. El mal no es poder. Es un remedo de la fuerza, el cual muy pronto muestra su debilidad y cae para jamás levantarse.
Erring power is a material belief, a blind miscalled force, the offspring of will and not of wisdom, of the mortal mind and not of the immortal. It is the headlong cataract, the devouring flame, the tempest's breath. It is lightning and hurricane, all that is selfish, wicked, dishonest, and impure.
Moral and spiritual might belong to Spirit, who holds the "wind in His fists;" and this teaching accords with Science and harmony. In Science, you can have no power opposed to God, and the physical senses must give up their false testimony. Your influence for good depends upon the weight you throw into the right scale. The good you do and embody gives you the only power obtainable. Evil is not power. It is a mockery of strength, which erelong betrays its weakness and falls, never to rise.
Jesús dijo: "Yo sabía que siempre me oyes"; y resucitó a Lázaro de entre los muertos, calmó la tempestad, sanó a los enfermos y anduvo sobre las aguas. Hay autoridad divina para creer en la superioridad del poder espiritual sobre la resistencia material.
Un milagro cumple con la ley de Dios pero no la quebranta. Ese hecho parece ahora más misterioso que el milagro mismo. El Salmista exclamó: "¿Qué tuviste, oh mar, que huiste? ¿Y tú, oh Jordán, que te volviste atrás? Oh montes, ¿por qué saltasteis como carneros, y vosotros, collados, como corderitos? A la presencia de Jehová tiembla la tierra, a la presencia del Dios de Jacob". El milagro no introduce desorden, sino que revela el orden primordial, estableciendo la Ciencia de la ley inmutable de Dios. Sólo la evolución espiritual es digna del ejercicio del poder divino.
Jesus said: "I knew that Thou hearest me always;" and he raised Lazarus from the dead, stilled the tempest, healed the sick, walked on the water. There is divine authority for believing in the superiority of spiritual power over material resistance.
A miracle fulfils God's law, but does not violate that law. This fact at present seems more mysterious than the miracle itself. The Psalmist sang: "What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams, and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob." The miracle introduces no disorder, but unfolds the primal order, establishing the Science of God's unchangeable law. Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.
El universo del Espíritu refleja el poder creador del Principio divino, o la Vida, que reproduce las innumerables formaciones de la Mente y gobierna la multiplicación de la idea compuesta, el hombre. El árbol y la hierba dan fruto no porque tengan algún poder propagativo propio, sino porque reflejan a la Mente que lo incluye todo. Un mundo material sugiere una mente mortal y un hombre que es creador. La creación divina y científica proclama a la Mente inmortal y al universo creado por Dios.
La Mente infinita lo crea y lo gobierna todo, desde la molécula mental hasta lo infinito. Ese Principio divino de todo expresa Ciencia y arte en Su creación entera, como también la inmortalidad del hombre y del universo. La creación está siempre manifestándose y tiene que seguir manifestándose perpetuamente, debido a la naturaleza de su fuente inagotable. El sentido mortal invierte esa manifestación y llama materiales a las ideas. Así mal interpretada, la idea divina parece caer al nivel de una creencia humana o material, llamada hombre mortal. Pero la semilla está en sí misma sólo porque la Mente divina es Todo y lo reproduce todo — porque la Mente es el multiplicador y la idea infinita de la Mente, el hombre y el universo, es el producto. La única inteligencia o sustancia de un pensamiento, de una semilla o de una flor es Dios, su creador. La Mente es el Alma de todo. La Mente es la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor, que gobierna todo.
The universe of Spirit reflects the creative power of the divine Principle, or Life, which reproduces the multitudinous forms of Mind and governs the multiplication of the compound idea man. The tree and herb do not yield fruit because of any propagating power of their own, but because they reflect the Mind which includes all. A material world implies a mortal mind and man a creator. The scientific divine creation declares immortal Mind and the universe created by God.
Infinite Mind creates and governs all, from the mental molecule to infinity. This divine Principle of all expresses Science and art throughout His creation, and the immortality of man and the universe. Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source. Mortal sense inverts this appearing and calls ideas material. Thus misinterpreted, the divine idea seems to fall to the level of a human or material belief, called mortal man. But the seed is in itself, only as the divine Mind is All and reproduces all — as Mind is the multiplier, and Mind's infinite idea, man and the universe, is the product. The only intelligence or substance of a thought, a seed, or a flower is God, the creator of it. Mind is the Soul of all. Mind is Life, Truth, and Love which governs all.
La naturaleza proclama la ley natural y espiritual y el Amor divino, pero la creencia humana interpreta mal a la naturaleza. Las regiones árticas, los soleados trópicos, las gigantescas montañas, los alados vientos, las olas poderosas, los verdes valles, las festivas flores y los gloriosos cielos —todos indican a la Mente, la inteligencia espiritual que reflejan. Los apóstoles florales son jeroglíficos de la Deidad. Los soles y planetas enseñan grandes lecciones. Las estrellas embellecen la noche, y la hojuela gira naturalmente hacia la luz.
Nature voices natural, spiritual law and divine Love, but human belief misinterprets nature. Arctic regions, sunny tropics, giant hills, winged winds, mighty billows, verdant vales, festive flowers, and glorious heavens, — all point to Mind, the spiritual intelligence they reflect. The floral apostles are hieroglyphs of Deity. Suns and planets teach grand lessons. The stars make night beautiful, and the leaflet turns naturally towards the light.
Dios es infinito, por lo tanto siempre presente, y no hay otro poder ni otra presencia. Por consiguiente, la espiritualidad del universo es la única realidad de la creación.
God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence. Hence the spirituality of the universe is the only fact of creation.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
