11. Entonces vi el cielo abierto; y he aquí un caballo blanco, y el que lo montaba se llamaba Fiel y Verdadero, y con justicia juzga y pelea.
12. Sus ojos eran como llama de fuego, y había en su cabeza muchas diademas; y tenía un nombre escrito que ninguno conocía sino él mismo.
13. Estaba vestido de una ropa teñida en sangre; y su nombre es: EL VERBO DE DIOS.
14. Y los ejércitos celestiales, vestidos de lino finísimo, blanco y limpio, le seguían en caballos blancos.

11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Leccion Sermon
1 Saldrá una vara del tronco de Isaí, y un vástago retoñará de sus raíces.
2 Y reposará sobre él el Espíritu de Jehová; espíritu de sabiduría y de inteligencia, espíritu de consejo y de poder, espíritu de conocimiento y de temor de Jehová.
3 Y le hará entender diligente en el temor de Jehová. No juzgará según la vista de sus ojos, ni argüirá por lo que oigan sus oídos;
4 Sino que juzgará con justicia a los pobres, y argüirá con equidad por los mansos de la tierra; y herirá la tierra con la vara de su boca, y con el espíritu de sus labios matará al impío.
5 Y será la justicia cinto de sus lomos, y la fidelidad ceñidor de su cintura.
6 Morará el lobo con el cordero, y el leopardo con el cabrito se acostará; el becerro y el león y la bestia doméstica andarán juntos, y un niño los pastoreará.

43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

1 Al tercer día se hicieron unas bodas en Caná de Galilea; y estaba allí la madre de Jesús.
2 Y fueron también invitados a las bodas Jesús y sus discípulos.
3 Y faltando el vino, la madre de Jesús le dijo: No tienen vino.
4 Jesús le dijo: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, mujer? Aún no ha venido mi hora.
5 Su madre dijo a los que servían: Haced todo lo que os dijere.
6 Y estaban allí seis tinajas de piedra para agua, conforme al rito de la purificación de los judíos, en cada una de las cuales cabían dos o tres cántaros.
7 Jesús les dijo: Llenad estas tinajas de agua. Y las llenaron hasta arriba.
8 Entonces les dijo: Sacad ahora, y llevadlo al maestresala. Y se lo llevaron.

11 Este principio de señales hizo Jesús en Caná de Galilea, y manifestó su gloria; y sus discípulos creyeron en él.
13 Estaba cerca la pascua de los judíos; y subió Jesús a Jerusalén,
14 Y halló en el templo a los que vendían bueyes, ovejas y palomas, y a los cambistas allí sentados.
15 Y haciendo un azote de cuerdas, echó fuera del templo a todos, y las ovejas y los bueyes; y esparció las monedas de los cambistas, y volcó las mesas;

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
13 And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
32 Cuando llegó la noche, luego que el sol se puso, le trajeron todos los que tenían enfermedades, y a los endemoniados;
33 Y toda la ciudad se agolpó a la puerta.
34 Y sanó a muchos que estaban enfermos de diversas enfermedades, y echó fuera muchos demonios; y no dejaba hablar a los demonios, porque le conocían.
35 Levantándose muy de mañana, siendo aún muy oscuro, salió y se fue a un lugar desierto, y allí oraba.
36 Y le buscó Simón, y los que con él estaban;

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
37 And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
2 Y al oír Juan, en la cárcel, los hechos de Cristo, le envió dos de sus discípulos,
3 Para preguntarle: ¿Eres tú aquel que había de venir, o esperaremos a otro?
4 Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Id, y haced saber a Juan las cosas que oís y veis.
5 Los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos son resucitados, y a los pobres es anunciado el evangelio;
6 Y bienaventurado es el que no halle tropiezo en mí.
2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
25 Y hay también otras muchas cosas que hizo Jesús, las cuales si se escribieran una por una, pienso que ni aun en el mundo cabrían los libros que se habrían de escribir. Amén.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
CRISTO. La divina manifestación de Dios, la cual viene a la carne para destruir al error encarnado.
Christ. The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error.
JESÚS. El más elevado concepto corpóreo y humano de la idea divina, que reprende y destruye al error y saca a luz la inmortalidad del hombre.
Jesus. The highest human corporeal concept of the divine idea, rebuking and destroying error and bringing to light man's immortality.
El Cristo era el Espíritu a que Jesús aludió en sus propias declaraciones: "Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida" y "Yo y el Padre uno somos". Este Cristo, o divinidad del hombre Jesús, era su naturaleza divina, la santidad que le animaba. La Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos le daban a Jesús autoridad sobre el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte. Su misión fue revelar la Ciencia del ser celestial, probar lo que Dios es y lo que hace por el hombre.
Nuestro Maestro no enseñó una mera teoría, doctrina o creencia. Fue el Principio divino de todo ser real lo que enseñó y practicó. Su prueba del cristianismo no fue una forma o un sistema de religión y culto, sino la Ciencia Cristiana, demostrando con obras la armonía de la Vida y el Amor. Jesús envió un mensaje a Juan el Bautista, cuyo objeto era probar fuera de toda duda que el Cristo había venido: "Id, haced saber a Juan lo que habéis visto y oído: los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos son resucitados, y a los pobres es anunciado el evangelio". En otras palabras: Decid a Juan lo que es la demostración del poder divino, y en seguida percibirá que Dios es el poder en la obra mesiánica.
The Christ was the Spirit which Jesus implied in his own statements: "I am the way, the truth, and the life;" "I and my Father are one." This Christ, or divinity of the man Jesus, was his divine nature, the godliness which animated him. Divine Truth, Life, and Love gave Jesus authority over sin, sickness, and death. His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man.
Our Master taught no mere theory, doctrine, or belief. It was the divine Principle of all real being which he taught and practised. His proof of Christianity was no form or system of religion and worship, but Christian Science, working out the harmony of Life and Love. Jesus sent a message to John the Baptist, which was intended to prove beyond a question that the Christ had come: "Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached." In other words: Tell John what the demonstration of divine power is, and he will at once perceive that God is the power in the Messianic work.
Jesús enseñó a sus discípulos que el primer deber en la lista de los deberes cristianos es el de aplicar el poder curativo de la Verdad y el Amor. No atribuía ninguna importancia a las ceremonias muertas. Es el Cristo viviente, la Verdad práctica, lo que hace que Jesús sea "la resurrección y la vida" para todos los que le siguen con sus propias obras.
First in the list of Christian duties, he taught his followers the healing power of Truth and Love. He attached no importance to dead ceremonies. It is the living Christ, the practical Truth, which makes Jesus "the resurrection and the life" to all who follow him in deed.
El Principio-Dios es omnipresente y omnipotente. Dios está en todas partes, y nada fuera de Él está presente ni tiene poder. El Cristo es la Verdad ideal, que viene a sanar a la enfermedad y al pecado por medio de la Ciencia Cristiana y que atribuye todo el poder a Dios. Jesús es el nombre del hombre que más que ningún otro ha manifestado al Cristo, la verdadera idea de Dios, sanando a enfermos y pecadores y destruyendo el poder de la muerte. Jesús es el hombre humano, y el Cristo es la idea divina; de ahí la dualidad de Jesús el Cristo.
En una época de despotismo eclesiástico, Jesús introdujo la enseñanza y la práctica del cristianismo y dio la prueba de la verdad y el amor del cristianismo; mas para igualar su ejemplo y poner a prueba la Ciencia infalible de ese ejemplo de acuerdo con la regla que él estableció, sanando la enfermedad, el pecado y la muerte, se requiere una comprensión mejor de Dios como Principio divino, el Amor, más bien que como personalidad o el hombre Jesús.
The God-principle is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power. Christ is the ideal Truth, that comes to heal sickness and sin through Christian Science, and attributes all power to God. Jesus is the name of the man who, more than all other men, has presented Christ, the true idea of God, healing the sick and the sinning and destroying the power of death. Jesus is the human man, and Christ is the divine idea; hence the duality of Jesus the Christ.
In an age of ecclesiastical despotism, Jesus introduced the teaching and practice of Christianity, affording the proof of Christianity's truth and love; but to reach his example and to test its unerring Science according to his rule, healing sickness, sin, and death, a better understanding of God as divine Principle, Love, rather than personality or the man Jesus, is required.
… jamás vivió hombre más alejado de apetitos y pasiones que el Nazareno. Reprendió a los pecadores incisivamente y con firmeza, porque era amigo de ellos; de aquí la copa que bebió.
… there never lived a man so far removed from appetites and passions as the Nazarene. He rebuked sinners pointedly and unflinchingly, because he was their friend; hence the cup he drank.
La única frase cortés que tenía para el error era: "¡Quítate de delante de mí, Satanás!" Otra prueba aun más evidente de que la reprensión de Jesús era incisiva y pungente se halla en sus propias palabras —mostrando la necesidad de tan enérgica expresión, cuando echaba fuera demonios y sanaba a enfermos y a pecadores. Al abandonar el error se despoja al sentido material de sus falsas pretensiones.
The only civil sentence which he had for error was, "Get thee behind me, Satan." Still stronger evidence that Jesus' reproof was pointed and pungent is found in his own words, — showing the necessity for such forcible utterance, when he cast out devils and healed the sick and sinning. The relinquishment of error deprives material sense of its false claims.
Su ejemplo consumado fue para la salvación de todos nosotros, pero sólo a condición de que hagamos las obras que él hizo y que enseñó a hacer a los demás. Su propósito al curar, no era sólo restaurar la salud, sino demostrar su Principio divino. Estaba inspirado por Dios, por la Verdad y el Amor, en todo lo que dijo e hizo.
Jesús no era egoísta. Su espiritualidad le separaba del sensualismo e hizo que el materialista egoísta le odiase; pero era esta espiritualidad lo que capacitaba a Jesús para sanar a los enfermos, echar fuera el mal y resucitar a los muertos.
Desde su niñez se ocupaba de "los negocios de [su] Padre". Sus ocupaciones eran muy diferentes de las de ellos. Su señor era el Espíritu; el señor de ellos era la materia. Él servía a Dios, ellos a las riquezas. Sus afectos eran puros; los de ellos eran carnales. His consummate example was for the salvation of us all, but only through doing the works which he did and taught others to do. His purpose in healing was not alone to restore health, but to demonstrate his divine Principle. He was inspired by God, by Truth and Love, in all that he said and did.
Jesus was unselfish. His spirituality separated him from sensuousness, and caused the selfish materialist to hate him; but it was this spirituality which enabled Jesus to heal the sick, cast out evil, and raise the dead.
From early boyhood he was about his "Father's business." His pursuits lay far apart from theirs. His master was Spirit; their master was matter. He served God; they served mammon. His affections were pure; theirs were carnal. His senses drank in the spiritual evidence of health, holiness, and life; their senses testified oppositely, and absorbed the material evidence of sin, sickness, and death.
El "varón de dolores" comprendió mejor que nadie la nada de la vida e inteligencia materiales y la poderosa realidad de Dios, el bien, que incluye todo. Esos fueron los dos puntos cardinales de la curación por la Mente, o Ciencia Cristiana, que le armaron de Amor. The "man of sorrows" best understood the nothingness of material life and intelligence and the mighty actuality of all-inclusive God, good. These were the two cardinal points of Mind-healing, or Christian Science, which armed him with Love. The highest earthly representative of God, speaking of human ability to reflect divine power, prophetically said to his disciples, speaking not for their day only but for all time: "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;" and "These signs shall follow them that believe."
Nuestro Padre celestial, el Amor divino, exige que todos sigan el ejemplo de nuestro Maestro y sus apóstoles y no meramente que adoren su personalidad. Triste es que la frase servicio divino haya llegado tan generalmente a significar culto público en vez de obras diarias.
Our heavenly Father, divine Love, demands that all men should follow the example of our Master and his apostles and not merely worship his personality. It is sad that the phrase divine service has come so generally to mean public worship instead of daily deeds.
Como nuestro Maestro, tenemos que alejarnos del sentido material para entrar en el sentido espiritual del ser.
Like our Master, we must depart from material sense into the spiritual sense of being.
Ni el origen, ni el carácter, ni la obra de Jesús fueron generalmente comprendidos. Ni una sola parte constitutiva de su naturaleza fue juzgada con acierto por el mundo material. Ni siquiera su justicia y pureza impidieron que los hombres dijeran: Es un comilón y amigo de los impuros, y Beelzebú es su patrón. ¡Recuerda, tú mártir cristiano, que es suficiente con que se te juzgue digno de desatar las correas de las sandalias de tu Maestro!
Neither the origin, the character, nor the work of Jesus was generally understood. Not a single component part of his nature did the material world measure aright. Even his righteousness and purity did not hinder men from saying: He is a glutton and a friend of the impure, and Beelzebub is his patron.
Remember, thou Christian martyr, it is enough if thou art found worthy to unloose the sandals of thy Master's feet!
La idea inmortal de la Verdad recorre los siglos, cobijando bajo sus alas a enfermos y pecadores. Mi esperanza cansada trata de ver la realización de ese día feliz en que el hombre reconocerá la Ciencia del Cristo y amará a su prójimo como a sí mismo —en que comprenderá la omnipotencia de Dios y el poder sanador del Amor divino en lo que ha hecho y está haciendo por la humanidad. Las promesas se cumplirán. La hora de la reaparición de la curación divina se presenta en todo tiempo; y quienquiera que ponga su todo terrenal sobre el altar de la Ciencia divina, bebe ahora de la copa del Cristo y es dotado del espíritu y del poder de la curación cristiana.
Truth's immortal idea is sweeping down the centuries, gathering beneath its wings the sick and sinning. My weary hope tries to realize that happy day, when man shall recognize the Science of Christ and love his neighbor as himself, — when he shall realize God's omnipotence and the healing power of the divine Love in what it has done and is doing for mankind. The promises will be fulfilled. The time for the reappearing of the divine healing is throughout all time; and whosoever layeth his earthly all on the altar of divine Science, drinketh of Christ's cup now, and is endued with the spirit and power of Christian healing.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
