33. Enséñame, oh Jehová, el camino de tus estatutos, Y lo guardaré hasta el fin.
34. Dame entendimiento, y guardaré tu ley, Y la cumpliré de todo corazón.
35. Guíame por la senda de tus mandamientos, Porque en ella tengo mi voluntad.

2 Así dijo Jehová: No aprendáis el camino de las naciones, ni de las señales del cielo tengáis temor, aunque las naciones las teman.
2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
1 En el segundo año del reinado de Nabucodonosor, tuvo Nabucodonosor sueños, y se perturbó su espíritu, y se le fue el sueño.
2 Hizo llamar el rey a magos, astrólogos, encantadores y caldeos, para que le explicasen sus sueños.
3 Y el rey les dijo: He tenido un sueño, y mi espíritu se ha turbado por saber el sueño.
4 Entonces hablaron los caldeos al rey en lengua aramea: Rey, para siempre vive; di el sueño a tus siervos, y te mostraremos la interpretación.
5 Respondió el rey y dijo a los caldeos: El asunto lo olvidé; si no me mostráis el sueño y su interpretación, seréis hechos pedazos, y vuestras casas serán convertidas en muladares.
10 Los caldeos respondieron delante del rey, y dijeron: No hay hombre sobre la tierra que pueda declarar el asunto del rey; además de esto, ningún rey, príncipe ni señor preguntó cosa semejante a ningún mago ni astrólogo ni caldeo.
12 Por esto el rey con ira y con gran enojo mandó que matasen a todos los sabios de Babilonia.
13 … y buscaron a Daniel y a sus compañeros para matarlos.
16 Y Daniel entró y pidió al rey que le diese tiempo, y que él mostraría la interpretación al rey..
19 Entonces el secreto fue revelado a Daniel en visión de noche, por lo cual bendijo Daniel al Dios del cielo.
20 … y dijo: Sea bendito el nombre de Dios de siglos en siglos, porque suyos son el poder y la sabiduría:
21 … da la sabiduría a los sabios, y la ciencia a los entendidos:
22 Él revela lo profundo y lo escondido; conoce lo que está en tinieblas, y con él mora la luz.
23 A ti, oh Dios de mis padres, te doy gracias y te alabo, porque me has dado sabiduría y fuerza, y ahora me has revelado lo que te pedimos; pues nos has dado a conocer el asunto del rey.
46 Entonces el rey Nabucodonosor se postró sobre su rostro y se humilló ante Daniel,
47 … y dijo: Ciertamente el Dios vuestro es Dios de dioses, y Señor de los reyes, y el que revela los misterios, pues pudiste revelar este misterio.
48 Entonces el rey engrandeció a Daniel, y le dio muchos honores y grandes dones, y le hizo gobernador de toda la provincia de Babilonia, y jefe supremo de todos los sabios de Babilonia.
1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.
2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams.
3 And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.
4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.
5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
13 …and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.
16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
20 …and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 …he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.
46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel,
47 …and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.
23 Y recorrió Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
10 Y aconteció que estando él sentado a la mesa en la casa, he aquí que muchos publicanos y pecadores, que habían venido, se sentaron juntamente a la mesa con Jesús y sus discípulos.
11 Cuando vieron esto los fariseos, dijeron a los discípulos: ¿Por qué come vuestro Maestro con los publicanos y pecadores?
12 Al oír esto Jesús, les dijo: Los sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos.
13 Id, pues, y aprended lo que significa: Misericordia quiero, y no sacrificio. Porque no he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores, al arrepentimiento.
10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
1 Entonces llamando a sus doce discípulos, les dio autoridad sobre los espíritus inmundos, para que los echasen fuera, y para sanar toda enfermedad y toda dolencia.
1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
25 … dijo: Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque escondiste estas cosas de los sabios y de los entendidos, y las revelaste a los niños.
28 Venid a mí todos los que estáis trabajados y cargados, y yo os haré descansar.
29 Llevad mi yugo sobre vosotros, y aprended de mí, que soy manso y humilde de corazón; y hallaréis descanso para vuestras almas.
30 porque mi yugo es fácil, y ligera mi carga.
25 …and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
14 Y salidos los fariseos, tuvieron consejo contra Jesús para destruirle.
15 Sabiendo esto Jesús, se apartó de allí; y le siguió mucha gente, y sanaba a todos;
23 Y toda la gente estaba atónita, y decía: ¿Será este aquel Hijo de David?
24 Mas los fariseos, al oírlo, decían: Este no echa fuera los demonios sino por Beelzebú, príncipe de los demonios.
25 Sabiendo Jesús los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado, y toda ciudad o casa dividida contra sí misma, no permanecerá:
26 Y si Satanás echa fuera a Satanás, contra sí mismo está dividido; ¿cómo, pues, permanecerá su reino?
27 Y si yo echo fuera los demonios por Beelzebú, ¿por quién los echan vuestros hijos? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.
28 Pero si yo por el Espíritu de Dios echo fuera los demonios, ciertamente ha llegado a vosotros el reino de Dios.
14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
22 Y todo lo que pidiereis en oración, creyendo, lo recibiréis.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
15 Si me amáis, guardad mis mandamientos.
16 Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre;
17 el Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve, ni le conoce; pero vosotros le conocéis, porque mora con vosotros, y estará en vosotros.
18 No os dejaré huérfanos; vendré a vosotros.
25 Os he dicho estas cosas estando con vosotros.
26 Mas el Consolador, el Espíritu Santo, a quien el Padre enviará en mi nombre, él os enseñará todas las cosas, y os recordará todo lo que yo os he dicho.
27 La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; yo no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
14 … persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido;
15 y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salvación por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.
16 Toda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios, y útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir, para instruir en justicia:
17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra.
14 …continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
… el comprender a Dios es obra de la eternidad y exige absoluta consagración de pensamientos, energías y deseos.
…to understand God is the work of eternity, and demands absolute consecration of thought, energy, and desire.
Todo lo que sabemos correctamente acerca del Espíritu viene de Dios, el Principio divino, y se aprende mediante el Cristo y la Ciencia Cristiana. Si esa Ciencia se ha aprendido a fondo y asimilado debidamente, podemos conocer la verdad más exactamente de lo que puede el astrónomo leer las estrellas o calcular un eclipse. Leer la Mente así es lo opuesto de la clarividencia. Es la iluminación de la comprensión espiritual que demuestra la capacidad del Alma, no la del sentido material. Ese sentido del Alma viene a la mente humana cuando ésta se somete a la Mente divina.
All we correctly know of Spirit comes from God, divine Principle, and is learned through Christ and Christian Science. If this Science has been thoroughly learned and properly digested, we can know the truth more accurately than the astronomer can read the stars or calculate an eclipse. This Mind-reading is the opposite of clairvoyance. It is the illumination of the spiritual understanding which demonstrates the capacity of Soul, not of material sense. This Soul-sense comes to the human mind when the latter yields to the divine Mind.
Si bien esta obra contiene la Ciencia completa de la curación por la Mente, jamás creáis que podréis absorber todo el significado de la Ciencia mediante una mera lectura de este libro. El libro tiene que ser estudiado, y la demostración de las reglas de la curación científica os colocará firmemente sobre la base espiritual de la Ciencia Cristiana. Esa prueba os eleva mucho más allá de los fósiles perecientes de teorías ya anticuadas y os capacita para comprender los hechos espirituales del ser, hasta ahora no alcanzados y aparentemente oscuros.
Nuestro Maestro sanó a los enfermos, es decir, practicó la curación cristiana, y enseñó a sus discípulos las generalidades del Principio divino de dicha curación, pero no dejó una regla precisa para demostrar ese Principio de la curación y prevención de la enfermedad. Esa regla habría de descubrirse en la Ciencia Cristiana.
Although this volume contains the complete Science of Mind-healing, never believe that you can absorb the whole meaning of the Science by a simple perusal of this book. The book needs to be studied, and the demonstration of the rules of scientific healing will plant you firmly on the spiritual groundwork of Christian Science. This proof lifts you high above the perishing fossils of theories already antiquated, and enables you to grasp the spiritual facts of being hitherto unattained and seemingly dim.
Our Master healed the sick, practised Christian healing, and taught the generalities of its divine Principle to his students; but he left no definite rule for demonstrating this Principle of healing and preventing disease. This rule remained to be discovered in Christian Science.
La Ciencia Cristiana, comprendida, coincide con las Escrituras y sostiene de manera lógica y demostrativa cada punto que presenta. De otro modo no sería Ciencia y no podría presentar sus pruebas. … Presenta el veredicto sereno y claro de la Verdad contra el error, tal como fue expresado e ilustrado por los profetas, por Jesús y por sus apóstoles, según consta en las Escrituras desde el comienzo hasta el fin.
Christian Science, understood, coincides with the Scriptures, and sustains logically and demonstratively every point it presents. Otherwise it would not be Science, and could not present its proofs. … It presents the calm and clear verdict of Truth against error, uttered and illustrated by the prophets, by Jesus, by his apostles, as is recorded throughout the Scriptures.
La Ciencia Cristiana y el cristianismo son uno. ¿Cómo podemos, entonces, en el cristianismo, más que en la Ciencia Cristiana, creer en la realidad y el poder tanto de la Verdad como del error, tanto del Espíritu como de la materia, y esperar salir bien con esos opuestos?
Christian Science and Christianity are one. How, then, in Christianity any more than in Christian Science, can we believe in the reality and power of both Truth and error, Spirit and matter, and hope to succeed with contraries?
… nuestro Maestro anuló la ley material sanando en oposición a ella. Nos proponemos seguir el ejemplo del Maestro. Debemos subordinar la ley material a la ley espiritual. Dos puntos esenciales de la Ciencia Cristiana son, que ni la Vida ni el hombre mueren y que Dios no es el autor de la enfermedad.
…our Master annulled material law by healing contrary to it. We propose to follow the Master's example. We should subordinate material law to spiritual law. Two essential points of Christian Science are, that neither Life nor man dies, and that God is not the author of sickness.
La Ciencia Cristiana trae al cuerpo la luz solar de la Verdad, que vigoriza y purifica. La Ciencia Cristiana obra como un alterante, neutralizando el error con la Verdad. Cambia las secreciones, expulsa humores, disuelve tumores, relaja músculos rígidos y restaura la salud a huesos cariados. El efecto de esa Ciencia es incitar a la mente humana a un cambio de base, sobre la cual pueda dar lugar a la armonía de la Mente divina.
Los experimentos han confirmado el hecho de que la Mente gobierna al cuerpo, no sólo en un caso, sino en todos los casos. Las indestructibles facultades del Espíritu existen sin las condiciones de la materia y también sin las creencias erróneas de una llamada existencia material.
Christian Science brings to the body the sunlight of Truth, which invigorates and purifies. Christian Science acts as an alterative, neutralizing error with Truth. It changes the secretions, expels humors, dissolves tumors, relaxes rigid muscles, restores carious bones to soundness. The effect of this Science is to stir the human mind to a change of base, on which it may yield to the harmony of the divine Mind.
Experiments have favored the fact that Mind governs the body, not in one instance, but in every instance. The indestructible faculties of Spirit exist without the conditions of matter and also without the false beliefs of a so-called material existence.
Cuando perdemos la fe en el poder sanador de Dios, desconfiamos del Principio divino que demuestra la Ciencia Cristiana, y entonces no podemos sanar a los enfermos. Tampoco podemos sanarlos mediante la ayuda del Espíritu, si nos plantamos en una base material.
When we lose faith in God's power to heal, we distrust the divine Principle which demonstrates Christian Science, and then we cannot heal the sick. Neither can we heal through the help of Spirit, if we plant ourselves on a material basis.
La Ciencia muestra que las opiniones y creencias mortales y materiales contradictorias emiten los efectos del error en todo momento; pero esa atmósfera de la mente mortal no puede destruir la moral y la salud, cuando se combate pronta y persistentemente con la Ciencia Cristiana. La Verdad y el Amor son un antídoto contra ese miasma mental y así vigorizan y sostienen la existencia. El conocimiento innecesario que se obtiene de los cinco sentidos es sólo temporal —la concepción de la mente mortal, el producto de los sentidos, no del Alma, el Espíritu— y simboliza todo lo que es malo y perecedero. Las ciencias naturales, como usualmente se las llama, realmente no son naturales ni científicas, porque se deducen del testimonio de los sentidos materiales. Science shows that material, conflicting mortal opinions and beliefs emit the effects of error at all times, but this atmosphere of mortal mind cannot be destructive to morals and health when it is opposed promptly and persistently by Christian Science. Truth and Love antidote this mental miasma, and thus invigorate and sustain existence. Unnecessary knowledge gained from the five senses is only temporal, — the conception of mortal mind, the offspring of sense, not of Soul, Spirit, — and symbolizes all that is evil and perishable. Natural science, as it is commonly called, is not really natural nor scientific, because it is deduced from the evidence of the material senses. Ideas, on the contrary, are born of Spirit,
La Ciencia divina es absoluta y no permite una actitud vacilante al aprender su Principio y su regla, pues los establece por medio de la demostración.
Divine Science is absolute, and permits no half-way position in learning its Principle and rule — establishing it by demonstration.
La Ciencia Cristiana no es una excepción a la regla general de que no se puede lograr excelencia si no se trabaja en línea recta. No se puede desparramar el fuego y al mismo tiempo dar en el blanco. Seguir otras profesiones y progresar rápidamente en la demostración de esta Ciencia, es imposible.
Christian Science is not an exception to the general rule, that there is no excellence without labor in a direct line. One cannot scatter his fire, and at the same time hit the mark. To pursue other vocations and advance rapidly in the demonstration of this Science, is not possible.
La elucidación de la Ciencia Cristiana se funda en su sentido espiritual, y sus discípulos tienen que obtener ese sentido para comprender el significado de esa Ciencia.
The elucidation of Christian Science lies in its spiritual sense, and this sense must be gained by its disciples in order to grasp the meaning of this Science.
Si la Ciencia Cristiana elimina a los dioses populares — el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte— es Cristo, la Verdad, quien destruye esos males y así comprueba la nada de ellos.
El sueño de que la materia y el error son algo, tiene que someterse a la razón y a la revelación. Entonces los mortales verán que la enfermedad y el pecado son nada, y el pecado y la enfermedad desaparecerán de su consciencia. Se evidenciará que lo armonioso es real y que lo inarmónico es irreal.
If Christian Science takes away the popular gods, — sin, sickness, and death, — it is Christ, Truth, who destroys these evils, and so proves their nothingness.
The dream that matter and error are something must yield to reason and revelation. Then mortals will behold the nothingness of sickness and sin, and sin and sickness will disappear from consciousness. The harmonious will appear real, and the inharmonious unreal.
Quien comprenda la Ciencia Cristiana, puede sanar a los enfermos basándose en el Principio divino de la Ciencia Cristiana, y esa demostración práctica es la única prueba posible de que realmente se comprende esa Ciencia.
One who understands Christian Science can heal the sick on the divine Principle of Christian Science, and this practical proof is the only feasible evidence that one does understand this Science.
Que poder de la Ciencia Cristiana y del Amor divino es omnipotente. Es de veras adecuado para soltar la presa de la enfermedad, del pecado y de la muerte y destruirlos.
The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
