6. Por tanto, de la manera que habéis recibido al Señor Jesucristo, andad en él;
7. arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fe, así como habéis sido enseñados, abundando en acciones de gracias.
8. Mirad que nadie os engañe por medio de filosofías y huecas sutilezas, según las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme a los rudimentos del mundo, y no según Cristo.
9. Porque en él habita corporalmente toda la plenitud de la Deidad,
10. y vosotros estáis completos en él, que es la cabeza de todo principado y potestad.
6. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7. Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
8. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

5 Haya, pues, en vosotros este sentir que hubo también en Cristo Jesús,
12 Por tanto, amados míos, como siempre habéis obedecido, no como en mi presencia solamente, sino mucho más ahora en mi ausencia, ocupaos en vuestra salvación con temor y temblor,
13 porque Dios es el que en vosotros produce así el querer como el hacer, por su buena voluntad.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

40 Y el niño crecía y se fortalecía, y se llenaba de sabiduría; y la gracia de Dios era sobre él.
41 Iban sus padres todos los años a Jerusalén en la fiesta de la pascua;
42 y cuando tuvo doce años, subieron a Jerusalén conforme a la costumbre de la fiesta.
43 Al regresar ellos, acabada la fiesta, se quedó el niño Jesús en Jerusalén, sin que lo supiesen José y su madre.

1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
22 Entonces fue traído a él un endemoniado, ciego y mudo; y le sanó, de tal manera que el ciego y mudo veía y hablaba.
23 Y toda la gente estaba atónita, y decía: ¿Será este aquel Hijo de David?
24 Mas los fariseos, al oírlo, decían: Este no echa fuera los demonios sino por Beelzebú, príncipe de los demonios.
25 Sabiendo Jesús los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado, y toda ciudad o casa dividida contra sí misma, no permanecerá.
26 Y si Satanás echa fuera a Satanás, contra sí mismo está dividido; ¿cómo, pues, permanecerá su reino?
27 Y si yo echo fuera los demonios por Beelzebú, ¿por quién los echan vuestros hijos? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
22 Aconteció un día, que entró en una barca con sus discípulos,
26 Y arribaron a la tierra de los gadarenos, que está en la ribera opuesta a Galilea.
27 Al llegar él a tierra, vino a su encuentro un hombre de la ciudad, endemoniado desde hacía mucho tiempo; y no vestía ropa, ni moraba en casa, sino en los sepulcros.
28 Este, al ver a Jesús, lanzó un gran grito, y postrándose a sus pies exclamó a gran voz: ¿Qué tienes conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te ruego que no me atormentes.
29 (Porque mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliese del hombre, pues hacía mucho tiempo que se había apoderado de él; y le ataban con cadenas y grillos, pero rompiendo las cadenas, era impelido por el demonio a los desiertos.)
30 Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Cómo te llamas? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.
31 Y le rogaban que no los mandase ir al abismo.
32 Había allí un hato de muchos cerdos que pacían en el monte; y le rogaron que los dejase entrar en ellos; y les dio permiso.
33 Y los demonios, salidos del hombre, entraron en los cerdos; y el hato se precipitó por un despeñadero al lago, y se ahogó.
34 Y los que apacentaban los cerdos, cuando vieron lo que había acontecido, huyeron, y yendo dieron aviso en la ciudad y por los campos.
35 Y salieron a ver lo que había sucedido; y vinieron a Jesús, y hallaron al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, sentado a los pies de Jesús, vestido, y en su cabal juicio; y tuvieron miedo.
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples:
26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.
29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind:
1 Ahora, pues, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no andan conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.
2 Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
3 Porque lo que era imposible para la ley, por cuanto era débil por la carne, Dios, enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y a causa del pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne;
4 para que la justicia de la ley se cumpliese en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.
5 Porque los que son de la carne piensan en las cosas de la carne; pero los que son del Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu.
6 Porque el ocuparse de la carne es muerte, pero el ocuparse del Espíritu es vida y paz.
7 Por cuanto los designios de la carne son enemistad contra Dios; porque no se sujetan a la ley de Dios, ni tampoco pueden;
11 Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús mora en vosotros, el que levantó de los muertos a Cristo Jesús vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que mora en vosotros.
14 Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, estos son hijos de Dios.
15 Pues no habéis recibido el espíritu de esclavitud para estar otra vez en temor, sino que habéis recibido el espíritu de adopción, por el cual clamamos: ¡Abba, Padre!
16 El Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu, de que somos hijos de Dios.
17 Y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo,
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
MENTE. El único Yo, o Nosotros; Espíritu, Alma, Principio divino, sustancia, Vida, Verdad, Amor —únicos; el Dios único; no lo que está en el hombre, sino el Principio divino, o Dios, de quien el hombre es la expresión plena y perfecta;
Mind. The only I, or Us; the only Spirit, Soul, divine Principle, substance, Life, Truth, Love; the one God; not that which is in man, but the divine Principle, or God, of whom man is the full and perfect expression;
La Mente infinita es el creador, y la creación es la imagen o idea infinita que emana de esa Mente. Si la Mente está dentro y por fuera de todas las cosas, entonces todo es Mente; y esa definición es científica.
Infinite Mind is the creator, and creation is the infinite image or idea emanating from this Mind. If Mind is within and without all things, then all is Mind; and this definition is scientific.
La Ciencia del ser revela que el hombre es perfecto, así como el Padre es perfecto, porque el Alma, o la Mente, del hombre espiritual es Dios, el Principio divino de todo ser, y porque ese hombre real es gobernado por el Alma y no por los sentidos, por la ley del Espíritu y no por las supuestas leyes de la materia.
The Science of being reveals man as perfect, even as the Father is perfect, because the Soul, or Mind, of the spiritual man is God, the divine Principle of all being, and because this real man is governed by Soul instead of sense, by the law of Spirit, not by the so-called laws of matter.
El universo del Espíritu refleja el poder creador del Principio divino, o la Vida, que reproduce las innumerables formaciones de la Mente y gobierna la multiplicación de la idea compuesta, el hombre. El árbol y la hierba dan fruto no porque tengan algún poder propagativo propio, sino porque reflejan a la Mente que lo incluye todo. Un mundo material sugiere una mente mortal y un hombre que es creador. La creación divina y científica proclama a la Mente inmortal y al universo creado por Dios.
La Mente infinita lo crea y lo gobierna todo, desde la molécula mental hasta lo infinito. Ese Principio divino de todo expresa Ciencia y arte en Su creación entera, como también la inmortalidad del hombre y del universo. La creación está siempre manifestándose y tiene que seguir manifestándose perpetuamente, debido a la naturaleza de su fuente inagotable. El sentido mortal invierte esa manifestación y llama materiales a las ideas. Así mal interpretada, la idea divina parece caer al nivel de una creencia humana o material, llamada hombre mortal. Pero la semilla está en sí misma solo porque la Mente divina es Todo y lo reproduce todo — porque la Mente es el multiplicador y la idea infinita de la Mente, el hombre y el universo, es el producto. La única inteligencia o sustancia de un pensamiento, de una semilla o de una flor es Dios, su creador. La Mente es el Alma de todo. La Mente es la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor, que gobierna todo.
The universe of Spirit reflects the creative power of the divine Principle, or Life, which reproduces the multitudinous forms of Mind and governs the multiplication of the compound idea man. The tree and herb do not yield fruit because of any propagating power of their own, but because they reflect the Mind which includes all. A material world implies a mortal mind and man a creator. The scientific divine creation declares immortal Mind and the universe created by God.
Infinite Mind creates and governs all, from the mental molecule to infinity. This divine Principle of all expresses Science and art throughout His creation, and the immortality of man and the universe. Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source. Mortal sense inverts this appearing and calls ideas material. Thus misinterpreted, the divine idea seems to fall to the level of a human or material belief, called mortal man. But the seed is in itself, only as the divine Mind is All and reproduces all — as Mind is the multiplier, and Mind's infinite idea, man and the universe, is the product. The only intelligence or substance of a thought, a seed, or a flower is God, the creator of it. Mind is the Soul of all. Mind is Life, Truth, and Love which governs all.
Teorías falsas y agresivas han dado a los pecadores la noción de que ellos pueden crear lo que Dios no puede crear —a saber, mortales pecadores a imagen de Dios, así usurpando el nombre sin la naturaleza de la imagen o reflejo de la Mente divina; pero en la Ciencia nunca puede decirse que el hombre tiene una mente propia, distinta de Dios, la Mente que es todo.
False and self-assertive theories have given sinners the notion that they can create what God cannot, — namely, sinful mortals in God's image, thus usurping the name without the nature of the image or reflection of divine Mind; but in Science it can never be said that man has a mind of his own, distinct from God, the all Mind.
La comprensión de que el Ego es Mente y que hay una sola Mente o inteligencia, comienza de inmediato a destruir los errores del sentido mortal y a proporcionar la verdad del sentido inmortal. Esa comprensión armoniza al cuerpo; hace de los nervios, los huesos, el cerebro, etc. siervos en lugar de amos. Si el hombre está gobernado por la ley de la Mente divina, su cuerpo está en sumisión a la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor eternos.
The understanding that the Ego is Mind, and that there is but one Mind or intelligence, begins at once to destroy the errors of mortal sense and to supply the truth of immortal sense. This understanding makes the body harmonious; it makes the nerves, bones, brain, etc., servants, instead of masters. If man is governed by the law of divine Mind, his body is in submission to everlasting Life and Truth and Love.
Toda función del hombre real está gobernada por la Mente divina. La mente humana no tiene poder para matar o sanar y no tiene dominio sobre el hombre de Dios. La Mente divina que creó al hombre, mantiene Su propia imagen y semejanza. La mente humana se opone a Dios, y hay que despojarla, como declara San Pablo. Todo lo que realmente existe es la Mente divina y su idea, y en esa Mente todo el ser se halla armonioso y eterno. El camino recto y estrecho consiste en ver y reconocer ese hecho, ceder a ese poder y seguir las indicaciones de la verdad.
Every function of the real man is governed by the divine Mind. The human mind has no power to kill or to cure, and it has no control over God's man. The divine Mind that made man maintains His own image and likeness. The human mind is opposed to God and must be put off, as St. Paul declares. All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal. The straight and narrow way is to see and acknowledge this fact, yield to this power, and follow the leadings of truth.
Los pensamientos y propósitos malos no tienen más alcance ni hacen más daño, de lo que la creencia de uno permita. Los malos pensamientos, las concupiscencias y los propósitos malévolos no pueden ir, cual polen errante, de una mente humana a otra, encontrando alojamiento insospechado, si la virtud y la verdad construyen una fuerte defensa.
Evil thoughts and aims reach no farther and do no more harm than one's belief permits. Evil thoughts, lusts, and malicious purposes cannot go forth, like wandering pollen, from one human mind to another, finding unsuspected lodgment, if virtue and truth build a strong defence.
Cuando el hombre es gobernado por Dios, la Mente siempre presente que comprende todas las cosas, el hombre sabe que para Dios todas las cosas son posibles. El único camino que conduce a esa Verdad viviente, que sana a los enfermos, se halla en la Ciencia de la Mente divina, como la enseñó y demostró Cristo Jesús.
When man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible. The only way to this living Truth, which heals the sick, is found in the Science of divine Mind as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus.
La Mente es el creador grandioso, y no puede haber ningún poder excepto aquel que deriva de la Mente. Si la Mente fue cronológicamente lo primero, si es lo primero en potencia y si tiene que ser lo primero eternamente, entonces dad a la Mente la gloria, el honor, el imperio y la potencia debidos, por toda la eternidad, a su santo nombre. Métodos de curación inferiores y no espirituales tal vez traten de que la Mente y los medicamentos se unan, pero científicamente las dos cosas no se pueden mezclar. ¿Por qué, pues, desear que lo hagan, puesto que nada bueno puede resultar de ello?
Si la Mente es lo primero y superior, confiemos en la Mente, que no necesita de la cooperación de poderes inferiores, aun cuando esos llamados poderes sean reales.
Mind is the grand creator, and there can be no power except that which is derived from Mind. If Mind was first chronologically, is first potentially, and must be first eternally, then give to Mind the glory, honor, dominion, and power everlastingly due its holy name. Inferior and unspiritual methods of healing may try to make Mind and drugs coalesce, but the two will not mingle scientifically. Why should we wish to make them do so, since no good can come of it?
If Mind is foremost and superior, let us rely upon Mind, which needs no cooperation from lower powers, even if these so-called powers are real.
El hombre, gobernado por su Hacedor, no teniendo otra Mente —plantado en la afirmación del Evangelista de que "todas las cosas por Él [el Verbo de Dios] fueron hechas, y sin Él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho"— puede triunfar sobre el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte.
Man, governed by his Maker, having no other Mind, — planted on the Evangelist's statement that "all things were made by Him [the Word of God]; and without Him was not anything made that was made," — can triumph over sin, sickness, and death.
A medida que los mortales abandonen la ilusión de que hay más de una Mente, más de un Dios, el hombre a semejanza de Dios aparecerá, y ese hombre eterno no incluirá en esa semejanza elemento material alguno.

As mortals give up the delusion that there is more than one Mind, more than one God, man in God's likeness will appear, and this eternal man will include in that likeness no material element.
As a material, theoretical life-basis is found to be a misapprehension of existence, the spiritual and divine Principle of man dawns upon human thought, and leads it to "where the young child was," — even to the birth of a new-old idea, to the spiritual sense of being and of what Life includes.
El tener un solo Dios, una sola Mente, desarrolla el poder que sana a los enfermos, y cumple estas palabras de las Escrituras: "Yo soy Jehová tu Sanador", y: "Yo he hallado rescate".* Cuando los preceptos divinos son comprendidos, desarrollan la base de la fraternidad, en la cual una mente no está en guerra con otra, sino que todos tienen un solo Espíritu, Dios, un mismo origen inteligente, de acuerdo con el mandato bíblico: "Tened dentro de vosotros esa Mente que estaba también en Cristo Jesús".* El hombre y su Hacedor están correlacionados en la Ciencia divina, y la consciencia verdadera sólo tiene conocimiento de las cosas de Dios.
Having one God, one Mind, unfolds the power that heals the sick, and fulfils these sayings of Scripture, "I am the Lord that healeth thee," and "I have found a ransom." When the divine precepts are understood, they unfold the foundation of fellowship, in which one mind is not at war with another, but all have one Spirit, God, one intelligent source, in accordance with the Scriptural command: "Let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Man and his Maker are correlated in divine Science, and real consciousness is cognizant only of the things of God.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
