22. He aquí que Dios es excelso en su poder; ¿Qué enseñador semejante a él?

25. Los hombres todos la ven; La mira el hombre de lejos.
5. Truena Dios maravillosamente con su voz; Él hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.

22. Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
24. Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
25. Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
5. God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
3. Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

6 Por la palabra de Jehová fueron hechos los cielos, Y todo el ejército de ellos por el aliento de su boca.
9 Porque él dijo, y fue hecho; Él mandó, y existió.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
1 Aconteció … que Jehová habló a Josué hijo de Nun, servidor de Moisés, diciendo:
2 … levántate y pasa este Jordán, tú y todo este pueblo, a la tierra que yo les doy a los hijos de Israel.
3 Yo os he entregado, como lo había dicho a Moisés, todo lugar que pisare la planta de vuestro pie.
5 Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida; como estuve con Moisés, estaré contigo; no te dejaré, ni te desampararé.
9 Mira … que te esfuerces y seas valiente; no temas ni desmayes, porque Jehová tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas.
1 …it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 …arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
9 Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
1 Cuando Adonisedec rey de Jerusalén oyó que Josué había tomado a Hai, y que la había asolado (como había hecho a Jericó y a su rey, así hizo a Hai y a su rey), y que los moradores de Gabaón habían hecho paz con los israelitas, y que estaban entre ellos,
3 Por lo cual Adonisedec rey de Jerusalén envió a Hoham rey de Hebrón, a Piream rey de Jarmut, a Jafía rey de Laquis y a Debir rey de Eglón, diciendo:
4 Subid a mí y ayudadme, y combatamos a Gabaón; porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel.
5 Y cinco reyes de los amorreos, … se juntaron y subieron, ellos con todos sus ejércitos, y acamparon cerca de Gabaón, y pelearon contra ella.
6 Entonces los moradores de Gabaón enviaron a decir a Josué al campamento en Gilgal: No niegues ayuda a tus siervos; sube prontamente a nosotros para defendernos y ayudarnos; porque todos los reyes de los amorreos que habitan en las montañas se han unido contra nosotros.
8 Y Jehová dijo a Josué: No tengas temor de ellos; porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos prevalecerá delante de ti.
9 Y Josué vino a ellos de repente, habiendo subido toda la noche desde Gilgal.
10 Y Jehová los llenó de consternación delante de Israel,
12 Entonces Josué habló a Jehová el día en que Jehová entregó al amorreo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los israelitas: Sol, detente en Gabaón; Y tú, luna, en el valle de Ajalón.
13 Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, Hasta que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos. … Y el sol se paró en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró a ponerse casi un día entero.
14 Y no hubo día como aquel, ni antes ni después de él, habiendo atendido Jehová a la voz de un hombre; porque Jehová peleaba por Israel.
1 Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
3 Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, … gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.
6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.
8 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
9 Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
10 And the Lord discomfited them before Israel,
12 Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. … So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.
14 … Detente, y considera las maravillas de Dios.
23 Él es Todopoderoso, al cual no alcanzamos, grande en poder; Y en juicio y en multitud de justicia no afligirá.
14 …stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
5 Hubo en los días de Herodes, rey de Judea, un sacerdote llamado Zacarías, de la clase de Abías; su mujer era de las hijas de Aarón, y se llamaba Elisabet.
6 Ambos eran justos delante de Dios, y andaban irreprensibles en todos los mandamientos y ordenanzas del Señor.
7 Pero no tenían hijo, porque Elisabet era estéril, y ambos eran ya de edad avanzada.
8 Aconteció que ejerciendo Zacarías el sacerdocio delante de Dios según el orden de su clase,
9 conforme a la costumbre del sacerdocio, le tocó en suerte ofrecer el incienso, entrando en el santuario del Señor.
11 Y se le apareció un ángel del Señor puesto en pie a la derecha del altar del incienso.
12 Y se turbó Zacarías al verle, y le sobrecogió temor.
13 Pero el ángel le dijo: Zacarías, no temas; porque tu oración ha sido oída, y tu mujer Elisabet te dará a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Juan.
14 Y tendrás gozo y alegría, y muchos se regocijarán de su nacimiento;
15 porque será grande delante de Dios.
19 Yo soy Gabriel, que estoy delante de Dios; y he sido enviado a hablarte, y darte estas buenas nuevas.
24 Después de aquellos días concibió su mujer Elisabet, y se recluyó en casa por cinco meses, diciendo:
25 Así ha hecho conmigo el Señor en los días en que se dignó quitar mi afrenta entre los hombres.
26 Al sexto mes el ángel Gabriel fue enviado por Dios a una ciudad de Galilea, llamada Nazaret,
27 a una virgen desposada con un varón que se llamaba José, de la casa de David; y el nombre de la virgen era María.
28 Y entrando el ángel en donde ella estaba, dijo: ¡Salve, muy favorecida! El Señor es contigo; bendita tú entre las mujeres.
31 Y ahora, concebirás en tu vientre, y darás a luz un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESÚS.
36 Y he aquí tu parienta Elisabet, ella también ha concebido hijo en su vejez; y este es el sexto mes para ella, la que llamaban estéril;
37 porque nada hay imposible para Dios.
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judæa, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,
9 According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,
19 I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
11 Alegraos en Jehová y gozaos, justos; Y cantad con júbilo todos vosotros los rectos de corazón.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
13 Porque he aquí, el que forma los montes, y crea el viento, y anuncia al hombre su pensamiento; el que hace de las tinieblas mañana, y pasa sobre las alturas de la tierra; Jehová Dios de los ejércitos es su nombre.
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.
Las Escrituras nos informan que "todas las cosas son posibles para Dios", que todo lo bueno es posible para el Espíritu;
Scripture informs us that "with God all things are possible," — all good is possible to Spirit;
La Ciencia revela la posibilidad de lograr todo lo bueno, e impone a los mortales la tarea de descubrir lo que Dios ya ha hecho;
Science reveals the possibility of achieving all good, and sets mortals at work to discover what God has already done;
La Ciencia Cristiana explica que toda causa y todo efecto son mentales, no físicos. Levanta del Alma y del cuerpo el velo de misterio. Muestra la relación científica del hombre con Dios, desenreda las ambigüedades entrelazadas de la existencia y libera al pensamiento aprisionado. En la Ciencia divina, el universo, incluso el hombre, es espiritual, armonioso y eterno.
Christian Science explains all cause and effect as mental, not physical. It lifts the veil of mystery from Soul and body. It shows the scientific relation of man to God, disentangles the interlaced ambiguities of being, and sets free the imprisoned thought. In divine Science, the universe, including man, is spiritual, harmonious, and eternal.
El Principio creador —la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor— es Dios. El universo refleja a Dios. No hay más de un creador y una creación. Esa creación consiste en el desarrollo de ideas espirituales y sus identidades, las cuales están comprendidas en la Mente infinita y eternamente reflejadas.
The creative Principle — Life, Truth, and Love — is God. The universe reflects God. There is but one creator and one creation. This creation consists of the unfolding of spiritual ideas and their identities, which are embraced in the infinite Mind and forever reflected.
En el universo de la Verdad, no se conoce materia. Ninguna suposición de error penetra allí. La Ciencia divina, la Palabra de Dios, dice a las tinieblas sobre la faz del error: "Dios es Todo-en-todo", y la luz del Amor siempre presente ilumina al universo. De ahí la eterna maravilla —que el espacio infinito esté poblado de las ideas de Dios, que Le reflejan en incontables formas espirituales.
In the universe of Truth, matter is unknown. No supposition of error enters there. Divine Science, the Word of God, saith to the darkness upon the face of error, "God is All-in-all," and the light of ever-present Love illumines the universe. Hence the eternal wonder, — that infinite space is peopled with God's ideas, reflecting Him in countless spiritual forms.
La Mente, suprema sobre todas sus formaciones y gobernando a todas ellas, es el sol central de sus propios sistemas de ideas, la vida y la luz de toda su vasta creación; y el hombre es tributario a la Mente divina.
El mundo se desplomaría sin la Mente, sin la inteligencia que mantiene los vientos en sus puños. Ni la filosofía ni el escepticismo pueden impedir la marcha de la Ciencia que revela la supremacía de la Mente. El inmanente sentido del poder de la Mente realza la gloria de la Mente. La cercanía, no la distancia, da encanto a esa perspectiva.
Los minerales compuestos o las sustancias agregadas que componen la tierra, las relaciones que las masas constituyentes mantienen entre sí, las magnitudes, distancias y revoluciones de los cuerpos celestes, no tienen importancia verdadera cuando recordamos que todo eso tiene que dar lugar a la realidad espiritual por la traslación del hombre y el universo nuevamente al Espíritu. En la proporción en que eso se haga, se revelará que el hombre y el universo son armoniosos y eternos.
Las sustancias materiales o formaciones terrestres, los cálculos astronómicos y todo el aparato de las teorías especulativas, basadas en la hipótesis de que hay ley material o de que la vida y la inteligencia residen en la materia, se desvanecerán finalmente, sorbidos en el cálculo infinito del Espíritu.
Mind, supreme over all its formations and governing them all, is the central sun of its own systems of ideas, the life and light of all its own vast creation; and man is tributary to divine Mind.
The world would collapse without Mind, without the intelligence which holds the winds in its grasp. Neither philosophy nor skepticism can hinder the march of the Science which reveals the supremacy of Mind. The immanent sense of Mind-power enhances the glory of Mind. Nearness, not distance, lends enchantment to this view.
The compounded minerals or aggregated substances composing the earth, the relations which constituent masses hold to each other, the magnitudes, distances, and revolutions of the celestial bodies, are of no real importance, when we remember that they all must give place to the spiritual fact by the translation of man and the universe back into Spirit. In proportion as this is done, man and the universe will be found harmonious and eternal.
Material substances or mundane formations, astronomical calculations, and all the paraphernalia of speculative theories, based on the hypothesis of material law or life and intelligence resident in matter, will ultimately vanish, swallowed up in the infinite calculus of Spirit.
El movimiento y la posición de la tierra son sostenidos sólo por la Mente.
The earth's motion and position are sustained by Mind alone.
No hay sino una sola atracción real, la del Espíritu. El apuntamiento de la aguja hacia el polo simboliza ese poder omnímodo, o sea la atracción de Dios, la Mente divina.
Los planetas no tienen más poder sobre el hombre que sobre su Hacedor, puesto que Dios gobierna el universo; pero el hombre, reflejando el poder de Dios, tiene dominio sobre toda la tierra y sus huestes.
There is but one real attraction, that of Spirit. The pointing of the needle to the pole symbolizes this all-embracing power or the attraction of God, divine Mind.
The planets have no more power over man than over his Maker, since God governs the universe; but man, reflecting God's power, has dominion over all the earth and its hosts.
… que la planta crece, no debido a semilla o tierra, sino porque el crecimiento es el eterno mandato de la Mente. El pensamiento mortal cae en la tierra, pero el pensamiento creador e inmortal viene de lo alto, no de abajo. Puesto que la Mente hace todo, nada le queda por hacer a un poder inferior. El Espíritu obra por la Ciencia de la Mente, nunca obligando al hombre a labrar la tierra, sino haciéndole superior a la tierra. El conocimiento de eso eleva al hombre por encima del barro, por encima de la tierra y su ambiente, hacia la armonía espiritual consciente y la existencia eterna.
…the plant grows, not because of seed or soil, but because growth is the eternal mandate of Mind. Mortal thought drops into the ground, but the immortal creating thought is from above, not from beneath. Because Mind makes all, there is nothing left to be made by a lower power. Spirit acts through the Science of Mind, never causing man to till the ground, but making him superior to the soil. Knowledge of this lifts man above the sod, above earth and its environments, to conscious spiritual harmony and eternal being.
Si suplicamos a Dios como si fuera una persona corpórea, eso nos impedirá desechar las dudas y temores humanos que acompañan tal creencia, y así no podremos comprender las maravillas realizadas por el Amor infinito e incorpóreo, para quien todas las cosas son posibles.
If we pray to God as a corporeal person, this will prevent us from relinquishing the human doubts and fears which attend such a belief, and so we cannot grasp the wonders wrought by infinite, incorporeal Love, to whom all things are possible.
El milagro no introduce desorden, sino que revela el orden primordial, estableciendo la Ciencia de la ley inmutable de Dios. Sólo la evolución espiritual es digna del ejercicio del poder divino.
The miracle introduces no disorder, but unfolds the primal order, establishing the Science of God's unchangeable law. Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.
En Egipto, fue la Mente la que salvó a los israelitas de la creencia en las plagas. En el desierto, salió agua de la peña en abundancia y el maná cayó del cielo. Los israelitas miraban a la serpiente de bronce, y al instante creían estar sanados de las mordeduras venenosas de las víboras. En períodos de prosperidad nacional, milagros acompañaban los triunfos de los hebreos; pero cuando se apartaron de la idea verdadera, comenzó su desmoralización. Hasta en el cautiverio, entre naciones extranjeras, el Principio divino hizo maravillas para el pueblo de Dios en el horno de fuego ardiendo y en los palacios de los reyes.
In Egypt, it was Mind which saved the Israelites from belief in the plagues. In the wilderness, streams flowed from the rock, and manna fell from the sky. The Israelites looked upon the brazen serpent, and straightway believed that they were healed of the poisonous stings of vipers.
In national prosperity, miracles attended the successes of the Hebrews; but when they departed from the true idea, their demoralization began. Even in captivity among foreign nations, the divine Principle wrought wonders for the people of God in the fiery furnace and in kings' palaces.
Los llamados gases y fuerzas materiales son contrahechuras de las fuerzas espirituales de la Mente divina, cuya potencia es la Verdad, cuya atracción es el Amor, cuya adhesión y cohesión son la Vida, que perpetúan las realidades eternas del ser. La electricidad es el agudo excedente de la materialidad que contrahace a la verdadera esencia de la espiritualidad o verdad —siendo la gran diferencia que la electricidad no es inteligente, mientras que la verdad espiritual es Mente.
No hay vana furia de la mente mortal —expresada en terremotos, vientos, olas, relámpagos, fuego y ferocidad bestial— y esa llamada mente se destruye a sí misma. Las manifestaciones del mal, que contrahacen la justicia divina, se llaman en las Escrituras "la ira de Jehová". En realidad, demuestran la autodestrucción del error o materia e indican lo contrario de la materia, la fuerza y permanencia del Espíritu. La Ciencia Cristiana revela la Verdad y la supremacía de ésta, la armonía universal, la totalidad de Dios, el bien, y la nada del mal.
The material so-called gases and forces are counterfeits of the spiritual forces of divine Mind, whose potency is Truth, whose attraction is Love, whose adhesion and cohesion are Life, perpetuating the eternal facts of being. Electricity is the sharp surplus of materiality which counterfeits the true essence of spirituality or truth, — the great difference being that electricity is not intelligent, while spiritual truth is Mind.
There is no vapid fury of mortal mind — expressed in earthquake, wind, wave, lightning, fire, bestial ferocity — and this so-called mind is self-destroyed. The manifestations of evil, which counterfeit divine justice, are called in the Scriptures, "The anger of the Lord." In reality, they show the self-destruction of error or matter and point to matter's opposite, the strength and permanency of Spirit. Christian Science brings to light Truth and its supremacy, universal harmony, the entireness of God, good, and the nothingness of evil.
Algún día comprenderemos cómo el Espíritu, el gran arquitecto, ha creado a hombres y mujeres en la Ciencia.
La Ciencia Cristiana presenta desarrollo, no acrecentamiento; no manifiesta ninguna evolución material de molécula a mente, sino una revelación de la Mente divina al hombre y al universo.
Sometime we shall learn how Spirit, the great architect, has created men and women in Science.
Christian Science presents unfoldment, not accretion; it manifests no material growth from molecule to mind, but an impartation of the divine Mind to man and the universe.
Todo lo que ha sido hecho es la obra de Dios, y todo es bueno.
La armonía y la inmortalidad del hombre están intactas. Debiéramos apartar la vista de la suposición contraria de que el hombre es creado materialmente, y dirigir la mirada hacia la historia espiritual de la creación, hacia aquello que debería ser grabado en el entendimiento y en el corazón "con punta de diamante" y pluma de ángel.
All that is made is the work of God, and all is good.
The harmony and immortality of man are intact. We should look away from the opposite supposition that man is created materially, and turn our gaze to the spiritual record of creation, to that which should be engraved on the understanding and heart "with the point of a diamond" and the pen of an angel.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
