11. Yo soy el buen pastor; el buen pastor su vida da por las ovejas.
14. Yo soy el buen pastor; y conozco mis ovejas, y las mías me conocen,
15. así como el Padre me conoce, y yo conozco al Padre; y pongo mi vida por las ovejas.
17. Por eso me ama el Padre, porque yo pongo mi vida, para volverla a tomar.
18. Nadie me la quita, sino que yo de mí mismo la pongo. Tengo poder para ponerla, y tengo poder para volverla a tomar. Este mandamiento recibí de mi Padre.
27. Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y me siguen,
28. y yo les doy vida eterna; y no perecerán jamás, ni nadie las arrebatará de mi mano.
29. Mi Padre que me las dio, es mayor que todos, y nadie las puede arrebatar de la mano de mi Padre.
30. Yo y el Padre uno somos.
11. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
14. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
17. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30. I and my Father are one.

16 Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
23 Y recorrió Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
1 Seis días antes de la pascua, vino Jesús a Betania, donde estaba Lázaro, el que había estado muerto, y a quien había resucitado de los muertos.
9 Gran multitud de los judíos supieron entonces que él estaba allí, y vinieron, no solamente por causa de Jesús, sino también para ver a Lázaro, a quien había resucitado de los muertos.
10 Pero los principales sacerdotes acordaron dar muerte también a Lázaro,
11 porque a causa de él muchos de los judíos se apartaban y creían en Jesús.
17 Y daba testimonio la gente que estaba con él cuando llamó a Lázaro del sepulcro, y le resucitó de los muertos.
19 Pero los fariseos dijeron entre sí: Ya veis que no conseguís nada.
23 Jesús les respondió diciendo: Ha llegado la hora para que el Hijo del Hombre sea glorificado.
27 Ahora está turbada mi alma; ¿y qué diré? ¿Padre, sálvame de esta hora? Mas para esto he llegado a esta hora.
28 Padre, glorifica tu nombre. Entonces vino una voz del cielo: Lo he glorificado, y lo glorificaré otra vez.
29 Y la multitud que estaba allí, y había oído la voz, decía que había sido un trueno. Otros decían: Un ángel le ha hablado.
30 Respondió Jesús y dijo: No ha venido esta voz por causa mía, sino por causa de vosotros.
31 Ahora es el juicio de este mundo; ahora el príncipe de este mundo será echado fuera.
32 Y yo, si fuere levantado de la tierra, a todos atraeré a mí mismo.
33 Y decía esto dando a entender de qué muerte iba a morir.
34 Le respondió la gente: Nosotros hemos oído de la ley, que el Cristo permanece para siempre. ¿Cómo, pues, dices tú que es necesario que el Hijo del Hombre sea levantado? ¿Quién es este Hijo del Hombre?
35 Entonces Jesús les dijo: Aún por un poco está la luz entre vosotros; andad entre tanto que tenéis luz,
36 …para que seáis hijos de luz.
37 Pero a pesar de que había hecho tantas señales delante de ellos, no creían en él;
42 Con todo eso, aun de los gobernantes, muchos creyeron en él; pero a causa de los fariseos no lo confesaban, para no ser expulsados de la sinagoga:
43 Porque amaban más la gloria de los hombres que la gloria de Dios.
44 Jesús clamó y dijo: El que cree en mí, no cree en mí, sino en el que me envió;
50 Y sé que su mandamiento es vida eterna. Así pues, lo que yo hablo, lo hablo como el Padre me lo ha dicho.
1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing?
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light,
36 …that ye may be the children of light.
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
1 Antes de la fiesta de la pascua, sabiendo Jesús que su hora había llegado para que pasase de este mundo al Padre, como había amado a los suyos que estaban en el mundo, los amó hasta el fin.
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
9 Jesús le dijo:…
12 El que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores hará, porque yo voy al Padre.
13 Y todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14 Si algo pidiereis en mi nombre, yo lo haré.
15 Si me amáis, guardad mis mandamientos.
27 La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; yo no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo.
28 Si me amarais, os habríais regocijado, porque he dicho que voy al Padre; porque el Padre mayor es que yo.
29 Y ahora os lo he dicho antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, creáis.
31 Mas para que el mundo conozca que amo al Padre, y como el Padre me mandó, así hago. Levantaos, vamos de aquí.

12 He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
1 Venida la mañana, todos los principales sacerdotes y los ancianos del pueblo entraron en consejo contra Jesús, para entregarle a muerte.
33 Y cuando llegaron a un lugar llamado Gólgota, que significa: Lugar de la Calavera,
35 … y allí le crucificaron, (Juan 19:18)
55 Estaban allí muchas mujeres mirando de lejos, las cuales habían seguido a Jesús desde Galilea, sirviéndole,

1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
35 …they crucified him.
55 And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:
56 Among which was Mary Magdalene,
9 Habiendo, pues, resucitado Jesús por la mañana, el primer día de la semana, apareció primeramente a María Magdalena, de quien había echado siete demonios.
10 Yendo ella, lo hizo saber a los que habían estado con él, que estaban tristes y llorando.
11 Ellos, cuando oyeron que vivía, y que había sido visto por ella, no lo creyeron.
14 Finalmente se apareció a los once mismos, estando ellos sentados a la mesa, y les reprochó su incredulidad y dureza de corazón, porque no habían creído a los que le habían visto resucitado.
15 Y les dijo: Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura.
17 Y estas señales seguirán a los que creen: En mi nombre echarán fuera demonios;
18 tomarán en las manos serpientes, y si bebieren cosa mortífera, no les hará daño; sobre los enfermos pondrán sus manos, y sanarán.
19 Y el Señor, después que les habló, fue recibido arriba en el cielo, y se sentó a la diestra de Dios.
20 Y ellos, saliendo, predicaron en todas partes, ayudándoles el Señor y confirmando la palabra con las señales que la seguían. Amén.
9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
8 Bienaventurados los de limpio corazón, porque ellos verán a Dios.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
CRISTO. La divina manifestación de Dios, la cual viene a la carne para destruir al error encarnado.
Christ. The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error.
La reconciliación es la ejemplificación de la unidad del hombre con Dios, por la cual el hombre refleja la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos. Jesús de Nazaret enseñó y demostró la unidad del hombre con el Padre, y por eso le debemos homenaje eterno.
Atonement is the exemplification of man's unity with God, whereby man reflects divine Truth, Life, and Love. Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage.
Jesús estableció su iglesia y mantuvo su misión sobre la base espiritual de la curación mediante el Cristo. Enseñó a sus seguidores que su religión tenía un Principio divino que podía expulsar al error y sanar tanto al enfermo como al pecador. No pretendió tener inteligencia, acción, ni vida separadas de Dios. A pesar de la persecución que eso le ocasionó, utilizó su poder divino para salvar a los hombres tanto corporal como espiritualmente.
Entonces, como ahora, se suscita la pregunta: ¿Cómo sanaba Jesús a los enfermos? Su respuesta a esa pregunta fue rechazada por el mundo.
Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught his followers that his religion had a divine Principle, which would cast out error and heal both the sick and the sinning. He claimed no intelligence, action, nor life separate from God. Despite the persecution this brought upon him, he used his divine power to save men both bodily and spiritually.
The question then as now was, How did Jesus heal the sick? His answer to this question the world rejected.
Los fariseos pretendían conocer y enseñar la voluntad divina, pero sólo estorbaban el éxito de la misión de Jesús. Hasta muchos de sus discípulos le obstruían el camino. Si el Maestro no hubiera tenido discípulos, ni enseñado las realidades invisibles de Dios, no hubiera sido crucificado.
The Pharisees claimed to know and to teach the divine will, but they only hindered the success of Jesus' mission. Even many of his students stood in his way. If the Master had not taken a student and taught the unseen verities of God, he would not have been crucified.
Que la ira de Dios se desahogara sobre Su Hijo amado es contrario a la naturaleza divina. Tal teoría es ideada por los hombres.
That God's wrath should be vented upon His beloved Son, is divinely unnatural. Such a theory is man-made.
Buscar la Verdad por medio de la creencia en una doctrina humana, es no comprender al infinito. No debemos buscar al inmutable e inmortal mediante lo finito, mutable y mortal, confiando así en una creencia, en lugar de la demostración, pues eso es funesto para un conocimiento de la Ciencia. La comprensión de la Verdad da plena fe en la Verdad, y la comprensión espiritual vale más que todos los holocaustos.
El Maestro dijo: "Nadie viene al Padre [el Principio divino del ser], sino por mí", el Cristo, la Vida, la Verdad, el Amor; pues Cristo dice: "Yo soy el camino".
To seek Truth through belief in a human doctrine is not to understand the infinite. We must not seek the immutable and immortal through the finite, mutable, and mortal, and so depend upon belief instead of demonstration, for this is fatal to a knowledge of Science. The understanding of Truth gives full faith in Truth, and spiritual understanding is better than all burnt offerings.
The Master said, "No man cometh unto the Father [the divine Principle of being] but by me," Christ, Life, Truth, Love; for Christ says, "I am the way."
Por todo lo que experimentaron los discípulos se espiritualizaron más y comprendieron mejor lo que el Maestro había enseñado. Su resurrección fue también la resurrección de ellos. Les ayudó a elevarse a sí mismos y a elevar a otros del embotamiento espiritual y de la fe ciega en Dios a la percepción de posibilidades infinitas. Necesitaban esa vivificación,
Through all the disciples experienced, they became more spiritual and understood better what the Master had taught. His resurrection was also their resurrection. It helped them to raise themselves and others from spiritual dulness and blind belief in God into the perception of infinite possibilities. They needed this quickening,
Jesús dijo: "Yo sabía que siempre me oyes"; y resucitó a Lázaro de entre los muertos, calmó la tempestad, sanó a los enfermos y anduvo sobre las aguas. Hay autoridad divina para creer en la superioridad del poder espiritual sobre la resistencia material. Un milagro cumple con la ley de Dios pero no la quebranta.
Jesus said: "I knew that Thou hearest me always;" and he raised Lazarus from the dead, stilled the tempest, healed the sick, walked on the water. There is divine authority for believing in the superiority of spiritual power over material resistance.
A miracle fulfils God's law, but does not violate that law.
La eficacia de la crucifixión descansó en el afecto y la bondad prácticos que ella demostró para bien de la humanidad. La verdad se había vivido entre los hombres; pero hasta que no vieron que capacitaba a su Maestro para triunfar sobre la tumba, sus propios discípulos no podían admitir que tal acontecimiento fuera posible.
The efficacy of the crucifixion lay in the practical affection and goodness it demonstrated for mankind. The truth had been lived among men; but until they saw that it enabled their Master to triumph over the grave, his own disciples could not admit such an event to be possible.
Jesús soportó la afrenta a fin de poder derramar sobre vidas estériles sus tesoros caramente adquiridos. ¿Cuál fue su recompensa terrenal? Todos le abandonaron except Juan, el discípulo amado, y algunas mujeres que se inclinaron en silenciosa angustia a la sombra de su cruz.
Jesus endured the shame, that he might pour his dear-bought bounty into barren lives. What was his earthly reward? He was forsaken by all save John, the beloved disciple, and a few women who bowed in silent woe beneath the shadow of his cross.
Sin embargo, no se desvió de su camino, sabiendo bien que obedecer el mandato divino y confiar en Dios, nos evita desandar lo andado y recorrer de nuevo el sendero que va del pecado a la santidad.
Yet he swerved not, well knowing that to obey the divine order and trust God, saves retracing and traversing anew the path from sin to holiness.
Aunque adoremos a Jesús, y el corazón rebose de gratitud por lo que hizo por los mortales —caminando a solas en su jornada de amor hasta el trono de gloria, explorando en silenciosa angustia el camino para nosotros— no obstante, Jesús no nos ahorra ni una sola experiencia individual si seguimos fielmente sus mandatos;
While we adore Jesus, and the heart overflows with gratitude for what he did for mortals, — treading alone his loving pathway up to the throne of glory, in speechless agony exploring the way for us, — yet Jesus spares us not one individual experience, if we follow his commands faithfully;
Los cristianos están bajo órdenes tan directas ahora, como lo estaban entonces, de asemejarse a Cristo, de tener el espíritu de Cristo, de seguir el ejemplo de Cristo, y de sanar al enfermo así como al pecador.
Christians are under as direct orders now, as they were then, to be Christlike, to possess the Christ-spirit, to follow the Christ-example, and to heal the sick as well as the sinning.
Oíd estos imperiosos mandatos: "¡Sed, pues, vosotros perfectos, como vuestro Padre que está en los cielos es perfecto!" "¡Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura!" "¡Sanad enfermos!"
Hear these imperative commands: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect!" "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature!" "Heal the sick!"
No está bien imaginarse que Jesús demostró el poder divino sanador sólo en beneficio de un número selecto o de un tiempo limitado, puesto que a la humanidad entera y a toda hora el Amor divino suministra todo el bien. El milagro de la gracia no es milagro para el Amor.
It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good.
The miracle of grace is no miracle to Love.
Si la Verdad está venciendo al error en tu conducta y conversación diarias, finalmente puedes decir: "He peleado la buena batalla... he guardado la fe", porque eres un hombre mejor. Eso significa tener nuestra parte en la unión con la Verdad y el Amor. Los cristianos no continúan laborando y orando en expectativa de que gracias a la bondad, el sufrimiento y el triunfo de otro, han de alcanzar la armonía y la recompensa de éste.
Si el discípulo está progresando espiritualmente, está esforzándose por entrar. Se aparta constantemente del sentido material y mira hacia las cosas imperecederas del Espíritu. Si es sincero, será diligente desde el comienzo y ganará un poco cada día en la dirección correcta, hasta que al fin acabe su carrera con gozo.
If Truth is overcoming error in your daily walk and conversation, you can finally say, "I have fought a good fight ... I have kept the faith," because you are a better man. This is having our part in the at-one-ment with Truth and Love. Christians do not continue to labor and pray, expecting because of another's goodness, suffering, and triumph, that they shall reach his harmony and reward.
If the disciple is advancing spiritually, he is striving to enter in. He constantly turns away from material sense, and looks towards the imperishable things of Spirit. If honest, he will be in earnest from the start, and gain a little each day in the right direction, till at last he finishes his course with joy.
Aquel a quien "el brazo del Señor" se ha revelado creerá a nuestro anuncio, y, regenerado, se elevará en vida nueva.
He to whom "the arm of the Lord" is revealed will believe our report, and rise into newness of life with regeneration.
¡Gloria a Dios y paz a los corazones que luchan! Cristo ha rodado la piedra de la puerta de la esperanza y fe humanas, y mediante la revelación y la demostración de la vida en Dios, las ha elevado a una posible unión con la idea espiritual del hombre y su Principio divino, el Amor.
Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
