5. Así dice Jehová Dios, Creador de los cielos, y el que los despliega; el que extiende la tierra y sus productos; el que da aliento al pueblo que mora sobre ella, y espíritu a los que por ella andan:
6. Yo Jehová te he llamado en justicia, y te sostendré por la mano; te guardaré y te pondré por pacto al pueblo, por luz de las naciones,
7. Para que abras los ojos de los ciegos, para que saques de la cárcel a los presos, y de casas de prisión a los que moran en tinieblas.
8. Yo Jehová; este es mi nombre; y a otro no daré mi gloria, ni mi alabanza a esculturas.
9. He aquí se cumplieron las cosas primeras, y yo anuncio cosas nuevas; antes que salgan a luz, yo os las haré notorias.
6. ¿Así pagáis a Jehová,
Pueblo loco e ignorante? ¿No es él tu padre que te creó? El te hizo y te estableció.

Pueblo suyo somos, y ovejas de su prado.
6. Venid, adoremos y postrémonos; arrodillémonos delante de Jehová nuestro Hacedor.
5. Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6. I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
6. Do ye thus requite the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
3. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
6. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

24 Así dice Jehová, tu Redentor, que te formó desde el vientre: Yo Jehová, que lo hago todo, que extiendo solo los cielos, que extiendo la tierra por mí mismo;
24 Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
1 No temas, porque yo te redimí; te puse nombre, mío eres tú.
2 Cuando pases por las aguas, yo estaré contigo; y si por los ríos, no te anegarán. Cuando pases por el fuego, no te quemarás, ni la llama arderá en ti.
3 Porque yo Jehová, Dios tuyo, el Santo de Israel, soy tu Salvador;
10 Vosotros sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, y mi siervo que yo escogí, para que me conozcáis y creáis, y entendáis que yo mismo soy; antes de mí no fue formado dios, ni lo será después de mí.

1 En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.
2 Este era en el principio con Dios.
3 Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho.
4 En él estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres.
5 La luz en las tinieblas resplandece, y las tinieblas no prevalecieron contra ella.

2 Gracia y paz a vosotros, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

4 El cual nos consuela en todas nuestras tribulaciones, para que podamos también nosotros consolar a los que están en cualquier tribulación, por medio de la consolación con que nosotros somos consolados por Dios.
2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Y hay en Jerusalén, cerca de la puerta de las ovejas,
5 Y había allí un hombre que hacía treinta y ocho años que estaba enfermo.
8 Jesús le dijo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y anda.
9 Y al instante aquel hombre fue sanado, y tomó su lecho, y anduvo. Y era día de reposo aquel día.
15 El hombre se fue, y dio aviso a los judíos, que Jesús era el que le había sanado.
16 Y por esta causa los judíos perseguían a Jesús,
17 Y Jesús les respondió: Mi Padre hasta ahora trabaja, y yo trabajo.
18 Por esto los judíos aun más procuraban matarle, porque no sólo quebrantaba el día de reposo, sino que también decía que Dios era su propio Padre, haciéndose igual a Dios..
19 Respondió entonces Jesús, y les dijo: De cierto, de cierto os digo: No puede el Hijo hacer nada por sí mismo, sino lo que ve hacer al Padre; porque todo lo que el Padre hace, también lo hace el Hijo igualmente.
20 Porque el Padre ama al Hijo, y le muestra todas las cosas que él hace; y mayores obras que estas le mostrará, de modo que vosotros os maravilléis.
24 De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que oye mi palabra, y cree al que me envió, tiene vida eterna; y no vendrá a condenación, mas ha pasado de muerte a vida.
26 Porque como el Padre tiene vida en sí mismo, así también ha dado al Hijo el tener vida en sí mismo;
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool,
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus,
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
9 Y no llaméis padre vuestro a nadie en la tierra; porque uno es vuestro Padre, el que está en los cielos.
10 Ni seáis llamados maestros; porque uno es vuestro Maestro, el Cristo.
11 El que es el mayor de vosotros, sea vuestro siervo.
12 Porque el que se enaltece será humillado, y el que se humilla será enaltecido.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
21 En aquella misma hora Jesús se regocijó en el Espíritu, y dijo: Yo te alabo, oh Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque escondiste estas cosas de los sabios y entendidos, y las has revelado a los niños. Sí, Padre, porque así te agradó.
22 Todas las cosas me fueron entregadas por mi Padre; y nadie conoce quién es el Hijo sino el Padre; ni quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo, y aquel a quien el Hijo lo quiera revelar.
21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
1 Oídme, los que seguís la justicia, los que buscáis a Jehová. Mirad a la piedra de donde fuisteis cortados,
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn,
En la Ciencia el hombre es linaje del Espíritu. Lo bello, lo bueno y lo puro constituyen su ascendencia. Su origen no está, como el de los mortales, en el instinto bruto, ni pasa él por condiciones materiales antes de alcanzar la inteligencia. El Espíritu es la fuente primitiva y última de su ser; Dios es su Padre, y la Vida es la ley de su existencia.
In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry. His origin is not, like that of mortals, in brute instinct, nor does he pass through material conditions prior to reaching intelligence. Spirit is his primitive and ultimate source of being; God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being.
Jesús no reconocía parentescos carnales. Dijo: "No llaméis padre vuestro a nadie en la tierra; porque uno es vuestro Padre, el que está en los cielos". Otra vez preguntó: "¿Quién es mi madre, y quiénes son mis hermanos?" significando así que lo son quienes hacen la voluntad de su Padre. No hay constancia de que llamara a hombre alguno por el nombre de padre. Reconocía que el Espíritu, Dios, era el único creador, y por tanto el Padre de todos.
Jesus acknowledged no ties of the flesh. He said: "Call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." Again he asked: "Who is my mother, and who are my brethren," implying that it is they who do the will of his Father. We have no record of his calling any man by the name of father. He recognized Spirit, God, as the only creator, and therefore as the Father of all.
Investigar el origen del hombre, que es el reflejo de Dios, es como indagar el origen de Dios, el autoexistente y eterno. Sólo el impotente error trataría de unir al Espíritu con la materia, al bien con el mal, a la inmortalidad con la mortalidad, y llamar esa falsa unidad hombre, como si el hombre fuera a la vez vástago de la Mente y de la materia, de la Deidad y de la humanidad. La creación descansa sobre una base espiritual. Perdemos nuestra norma de perfección y desechamos el verdadero concepto de la Deidad cuando admitimos que lo perfecto es el autor de algo que pueda volverse imperfecto, que Dios otorga el poder de pecar o que la Verdad confiere la facultad de errar. Jesús, nuestro gran ejemplo, pudo restaurar la manifestación individualizada de la existencia, que parecía desvanecerse en la muerte. Sabiendo que Dios era la Vida del hombre, Jesús pudo presentarse inalterado después de la crucifixión.
Searching for the origin of man, who is the reflection of God, is like inquiring into the origin of God, the self-existent and eternal. Only impotent error would seek to unite Spirit with matter, good with evil, immortality with mortality, and call this sham unity man, as if man were the offspring of both Mind and matter, of both Deity and humanity. Creation rests on a spiritual basis. We lose our standard of perfection and set aside the proper conception of Deity, when we admit that the perfect is the author of aught that can become imperfect, that God bestows the power to sin, or that Truth confers the ability to err. Our great example, Jesus, could restore the individualized manifestation of existence, which seemed to vanish in death. Knowing that God was the Life of man, Jesus was able to present himself unchanged after the crucifixion.
En la Ciencia, ni la Mente produce materia, ni la materia produce mente. Ninguna mente mortal tiene el poder o el derecho o la sabiduría para crear o destruir. Todo está bajo el dominio de la Mente única, o sea Dios.
In Science, Mind neither produces matter nor does matter produce mind. No mortal mind has the might or right or wisdom to create or to destroy. All is under the control of the one Mind, even God.
La base de la discordia mortal es un concepto falso del origen del hombre. Empezar bien es terminar bien. Todo concepto que parezca empezar con el cerebro, empieza falsamente. La Mente divina es la única causa o Principio de la existencia. No hay causa en la materia, ni en la mente mortal, ni en cuerpos físicos.
Los mortales son egotistas. Se creen trabajadores independientes, autores personales y hasta creadores privilegiados de algo que la Deidad no quiso o no pudo crear. Las creaciones de la mente mortal son materiales. Sólo el hombre espiritual e inmortal representa la verdad de la creación.
The foundation of mortal discord is a false sense of man's origin. To begin rightly is to end rightly. Every concept which seems to begin with the brain begins falsely. Divine Mind is the only cause or Principle of existence. Cause does not exist in matter, in mortal mind, or in physical forms.
Mortals are egotists. They believe themselves to be independent workers, personal authors, and even privileged originators of something which Deity would not or could not create. The creations of mortal mind are material. Immortal spiritual man alone represents the truth of creation.
La evolución material da a entender que la gran Causa Primera debe de volverse material y que después debe de retornar a la Mente o reducirse al polvo y a la nada.
Material evolution implies that the great First Cause must become material, and afterwards must either return to Mind or go down into dust and nothingness.
¿Pudo el Espíritu producir su opuesto, la materia, y dar a la materia la aptitud de pecar y sufrir?
Could Spirit evolve its opposite, matter, and give matter ability to sin and suffer?
El hecho científico de que el hombre y el universo proceden del Espíritu, y son por eso espirituales, está tan establecido en la Ciencia divina como lo está la prueba de que los mortales alcanzan el sentido de salud sólo a medida que pierden el sentido de pecado y de enfermedad. Los mortales nunca podrán comprender la creación de Dios mientras crean que el hombre es un creador.
The scientific fact that man and the universe are evolved from Spirit, and so are spiritual, is as fixed in divine Science as is the proof that mortals gain the sense of health only as they lose the sense of sin and disease. Mortals can never understand God's creation while believing that man is a creator.
La transmisión hereditaria no es una ley.
La mente mortal, obrando desde la base de sensación en la materia, es magnetismo animal; pero esa llamada mente, de la cual procede todo mal, se contradice a sí misma y tiene que ceder finalmente ante la Verdad eterna, o la Mente divina, expresada en la Ciencia. En la proporción en que comprendemos la Ciencia Cristiana, nos liberamos de la creencia en la transmisión hereditaria, de que hay mente en la materia o magnetismo animal; y desarmamos al pecado de su poder imaginario en la proporción en que comprendemos espiritualmente el estado del ser inmortal.
Heredity is not a law.
Mortal mind, acting from the basis of sensation in matter, is animal magnetism; but this so-called mind, from which comes all evil, contradicts itself, and must finally yield to the eternal Truth, or the divine Mind, expressed in Science. In proportion to our understanding of Christian Science, we are freed from the belief of heredity, of mind in matter or animal magnetism; and we disarm sin of its imaginary power in proportion to our spiritual understanding of the status of immortal being.
El pensamiento mortal transmite sus propias imágenes y forma sus vástagos de acuerdo con las ilusiones humanas. Dios, el Espíritu, obra espiritualmente, no materialmente. El cerebro o la materia jamás formaron un concepto humano. La vibración no es inteligencia; por tanto no es creadora. Ideas inmortales, puras, perfectas y perdurables, son transmitidas por la Mente divina mediante la Ciencia divina, la cual corrige al error con la verdad y exige pensamientos espirituales, conceptos divinos, a fin de que éstos produzcan resultados armoniosos.
Mortal thought transmits its own images, and forms its offspring after human illusions. God, Spirit, works spiritually, not materially. Brain or matter never formed a human concept. Vibration is not intelligence; hence it is not a creator. Immortal ideas, pure, perfect, and enduring, are transmitted by the divine Mind through divine Science, which corrects error with truth and demands spiritual thoughts, divine concepts, to the end that they may produce harmonious results.
La Mente crea Su propia semejanza en ideas, y la sustancia de una idea dista mucho de ser la supuesta sustancia de la no inteligente materia. Por lo tanto, la Mente Paterna no es el padre de la materia. Los sentidos materiales y los conceptos humanos quisieran traducir ideas espirituales en creencias materiales y decir que un Dios antro-pomórfico, en lugar del Principio infinito —en otras palabras, el Amor divino— es el padre de la lluvia, quien "engendró las gotas del rocío", quien saca "las constelaciones de los cielos" y guía a "la Osa Mayor con sus hijos".
Mind creates His own likeness in ideas, and the substance of an idea is very far from being the supposed substance of non-intelligent matter. Hence the Father Mind is not the father of matter. The material senses and human conceptions would translate spiritual ideas into material beliefs, and would say that an anthropomorphic God, instead of infinite Principle, — in other words, divine Love, — is the father of the rain, "who hath begotten the drops of dew," who bringeth "forth Mazzaroth in his season," and guideth "Arcturus with his sons."
Sólo la evolución espiritual es digna del ejercicio del poder divino.
Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.
A medida que los mortales alcancen conceptos más correctos de Dios y del hombre, innumerables objetos de la creación, que antes eran invisibles, se harán visibles. Cuando comprendamos que la Vida es Espíritu, nunca en la materia ni de la materia, esa comprensión se desarrollará en autocompleción, encontrándolo todo en Dios, el bien, sin necesitar ninguna otra consciencia.
El Espíritu y sus formaciones son las únicas realidades del ser. La materia desaparece bajo el microscopio del Espíritu. El pecado no es apoyado por la Verdad, y la enfermedad y la muerte fueron vencidas por Jesús, quien demostró que eran formas del error. La vida y la felicidad espirituales son las únicas evidencias por medio de las cuales podemos reconocer la existencia verdadera y sentir la paz inefable que viene de un amor espiritual que le absorbe a uno por completo.
Cuando aprendamos el camino en la Ciencia Cristiana y reconozcamos al ser espiritual del hombre, veremos y comprenderemos la creación de Dios —todas las glorias de la tierra y del cielo y del hombre.
As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were invisible, will become visible. When we realize that Life is Spirit, never in nor of matter, this understanding will expand into self-completeness, finding all in God, good, and needing no other consciousness.
Spirit and its formations are the only realities of being. Matter disappears under the microscope of Spirit. Sin is unsustained by Truth, and sickness and death were overcome by Jesus, who proved them to be forms of error. Spiritual living and blessedness are the only evidences, by which we can recognize true existence and feel the unspeakable peace which comes from an all-absorbing spiritual love.
When we learn the way in Christian Science and recognize man's spiritual being, we shall behold and understand God's creation, — all the glories of earth and heaven and man.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
