7. Y en efecto, pregunta ahora a las bestias, y ellas te enseñarán; a las aves de los cielos, y ellas te lo mostrarán;
8. O habla a la tierra, y ella te enseñará; los peces del mar te lo declararán también.
9. ¿Qué cosa de todas estas no entiende que la mano de Jehová la hizo?
6. El remueve la tierra de su lugar, y hace temblar sus columnas;
7. El manda al sol, y no sale; y sella las estrellas;
8. El solo extendió los cielos, y anda sobre las olas del mar;
9. El hizo la Osa, el Orión y las Pléyades, y los lugares secretos del sur;
10. El hace cosas grandes e incomprensibles, y maravillosas, sin número.
7. Ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8. Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
9. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?
6. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
7. Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
8. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
10. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

1 En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.
3 Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1 En aquellos días Ezequías cayó enfermo de muerte. Y vino a él el profeta Isaías hijo de Amoz, y le dijo: Jehová dice así: Ordena tu casa, porque morirás, y no vivirás.
2 Entonces él volvió su rostro a la pared, y oró a Jehová y dijo:
3 Te ruego, oh Jehová, te ruego que hagas memoria de que he andado delante de ti en verdad y con íntegro corazón, y que he hecho las cosas que te agradan. Y lloró Ezequías con gran lloro.
4 Y antes que Isaías saliese hasta la mitad del patio, vino palabra de Jehová a Isaías, diciendo:
5 Vuelve, y dí a Ezequías, príncipe de mi pueblo: Así dice Jehová, el Dios de David tu padre: Yo he oído tu oración, y he visto tus lágrimas; he aquí que yo te sano;
6 Y añadiré a tus días quince años,
8 Y Ezequías había dicho a Isaías: ¿Qué señal tendré de que Jehová me sanará,…?
9 Respondió Isaías: Esta señal tendrás de Jehová, de que hará Jehová esto que ha dicho: ¿Avanzará la sombra diez grados, o retrocederá diez grados?
10 Y Ezequías respondió: Fácil cosa es que la sombra decline diez grados; pero no que la sombra vuelva atrás diez grados.
11 Entonces el profeta Isaías clamó a Jehová; e hizo volver la sombra por los grados que había descendido en el reloj de Acaz, diez grados atrás.
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, saying,
3 I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee:
6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years;
8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me,
9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
12 ¿No está Dios en la altura de los cielos?
12 Is not God in the height of heaven?
1 Cuando Adonisedec rey de Jerusalén oyó que Josué había tomado a Hai, y que la había asolado (como había hecho a Jericó y a su rey, así hizo a Hai y a su rey), y que los moradores de Gabaón habían hecho paz con los israelitas, y que estaban entre ellos,
2 Tuvo gran temor;
3 Por lo cual Adonisedec rey de Jerusalén envió a Hoham rey de Hebrón, a Piream rey de Jarmut, a Jafía rey de Laquis y a Debir rey de Eglón, diciendo:
4 Subid a mí y ayudadme, y combatamos a Gabaón; porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel.
6 Entonces los moradores de Gabaón enviaron a decir a Josué al campamento en Gilgal: No niegues ayuda a tus siervos;
7 Y subió Josué de Gilgal, él y todo el pueblo de guerra con él, y todos los hombres valientes.
8 Y Jehová dijo a Josué: No tengas temor de ellos; porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos prevalecerá delante de ti.
9 Y Josué vino a ellos de repente, habiendo subido toda la noche desde Gilgal.
10 Y Jehová los llenó de consternación delante de Israel,
11 Y mientras iban huyendo de los israelitas, a la bajada de Bet-horón, Jehová arrojó desde el cielo grandes piedras sobre ellos hasta Azeca, y murieron; y fueron más los que murieron por las piedras del granizo, que los que los hijos de Israel mataron a espada.
12 Entonces Josué habló a Jehová el día en que Jehová entregó al amorreo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los israelitas: sol, detente en Gabaón; y tú, luna, en el valle de Ajalón.
13 Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, hasta que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos.
14 Y no hubo día como aquel, ni antes ni después de él,
1 Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;
2 That they feared greatly,
3 Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,
4 Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.
6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants;
7 So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.
8 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
9 Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.
10 And the Lord discomfited them before Israel,
11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died:
12 Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it,

7 El extiende el norte sobre vacío, Cuelga la tierra sobre nada.
8 Ata las aguas en sus nubes, y las nubes no se rompen debajo de ellas.
9 El encubre la faz de su trono, y sobre él extiende su nube.
10 Puso límite a la superficie de las aguas, hasta el fin de la luz y las tinieblas.
11 Las columnas del cielo tiemblan, y se espantan a su reprensión.
12 El agita el mar con su poder, y con su entendimiento hiere la arrogancia suya.
13 Su espíritu adornó los cielos;
14 … el trueno de su poder, ¿quién lo puede comprender?
7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.
10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.
13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens;
14 …the thunder of his power who can understand?
11 Y vi un gran trono blanco y al que estaba sentado en él, de delante del cual huyeron la tierra y el cielo,
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;
5 Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas.
6 Y me dijo: Hecho está. Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
La evolución espiritual es digna del ejercicio del poder divino.
Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.
La metafísica divina, según es revelada a la comprensión espiritual, demuestra con claridad que todo es Mente y que la Mente es Dios, omnipotencia, omnipresencia, omnisciencia —es decir, todo poder, toda presencia, toda Ciencia.
Divine metaphysics, as revealed to spiritual understanding, shows clearly that all is Mind, and that Mind is God, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, — that is, all power, all presence, all Science.
La evolución material da a entender que la gran Causa Primera debe de volverse material y que después debe de retornar a la Mente o reducirse al polvo y a la nada.
Material evolution implies that the great First Cause must become material, and afterwards must either return to Mind or go down into dust and nothingness.
Investigar el origen del hombre, que es el reflejo de Dios, es como indagar el origen de Dios, el autoexistente y eterno. Sólo el impotente error trataría de unir al Espíritu con la materia, al bien con el mal, a la inmortalidad con la mortalidad, y llamar esa falsa unidad hombre, como si el hombre fuera a la vez vástago de la Mente y de la materia, de la Deidad y de la humanidad. La creación descansa sobre una base espiritual.
Searching for the origin of man, who is the reflection of God, is like inquiring into the origin of God, the self-existent and eternal. Only impotent error would seek to unite Spirit with matter, good with evil, immortality with mortality, and call this sham unity man, as if man were the offspring of both Mind and matter, of both Deity and humanity. Creation rests on a spiritual basis.
… lo material usurpó el trono del divino Principio creador, insistió en la fuerza de la materia, en el poder de la falsedad, en la insignificancia del espíritu, y proclamó un Dios antropomórfico.
…material knowledge usurped the throne of the creative divine Principle, insisted on the might of matter, the force of falsity, the insignificance of spirit, and proclaimed an anthropomorphic God.
Los sentidos materiales y los conceptos humanos quisieran traducir ideas espirituales en creencias materiales y decir que un Dios antro-pomórfico, en lugar del Principio infinito —en otras palabras, el Amor divino— es el padre de la lluvia, quien "engendró las gotas del rocío", quien saca "las constelaciones de los cielos" y guía a "la Osa Mayor con sus hijos".
The material senses and human conceptions would translate spiritual ideas into material beliefs, and would say that an anthropomorphic God, instead of infinite Principle, — in other words, divine Love, — is the father of the rain, "who hath begotten the drops of dew," who bringeth "forth Mazzaroth in his season," and guideth "Arcturus with his sons."
La ciencia física (así llamada) es conocimiento humano —una ley de la mente mortal, una creencia ciega, un Sansón despojado de su fuerza. Cuando a esa creencia humana le faltan organizaciones en que apoyarse, sus fundamentos desaparecen. Como no tiene fuerza moral, ni base espiritual, ni Principio santo que le pertenezcan, esa creencia confunde el efecto con la causa y trata de hallar vida e inteligencia en la materia,
El universo, lo mismo que el hombre, debe ser interpretado por la Ciencia desde su Principio divino, Dios, y entonces puede comprenderse; pero cuando se explica sobre la base del sentido físico y se representa como sujeto a desarrollo, madurez y decadencia, el universo, lo mismo que el hombre, es, y tiene que continuar siendo, un enigma.
La adhesión, la cohesión y la atracción son propiedades de la Mente. Pertenecen al Principio divino y sostienen el equilibrio de esa fuerza del pensamiento que lanzó a la tierra en su órbita y dijo a la ola orgullosa: "Hasta aquí, y no más".
Andamos sobre fuerzas. Retiradlas, y la creación forzosamente se desplomará. El conocimiento humano las llama fuerzas de la materia; pero la Ciencia divina declara que pertenecen por entero a la Mente divina, que son inherentes a esa Mente, y así las restituye a su justo lugar y clasificación.
Physical science (so-called) is human knowledge, — a law of mortal mind, a blind belief, a Samson shorn of his strength. When this human belief lacks organizations to support it, its foundations are gone. Having neither moral might, spiritual basis, nor holy Principle of its own, this belief mistakes effect for cause and seeks to find life and intelligence in matter,
The universe, like man, is to be interpreted by Science from its divine Principle, God, and then it can be understood; but when explained on the basis of physical sense and represented as subject to growth, maturity, and decay, the universe, like man, is, and must continue to be, an enigma.
Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind. They belong to divine Principle, and support the equipoise of that thought-force, which launched the earth in its orbit and said to the proud wave, "Thus far and no farther."
We tread on forces. Withdraw them, and creation must collapse. Human knowledge calls them forces of matter; but divine Science declares that they belong wholly to divine Mind, are inherent in this Mind, and so restores them to their rightful home and classification.
El poder que yerra es una creencia material, una mal llamada fuerza que es ciega, el producto de la voluntad y no de la sabiduría, de la mente mortal y no de la inmortal. Es la catarata que se despeña, la llama devoradora, el soplo de la tempestad. Es rayo y huracán, todo lo que es egoísta, malvado, ímprobo e impuro.
El poder moral y espiritual pertenece al Espíritu, que mantiene "los vientos en Sus puños"; y esa enseñanza concuerda con la Ciencia y la armonía. En la Ciencia no puede existir ningún poder opuesto a Dios, y los sentidos físicos tienen que abandonar su falso testimonio.
Erring power is a material belief, a blind miscalled force, the offspring of will and not of wisdom, of the mortal mind and not of the immortal. It is the headlong cataract, the devouring flame, the tempest's breath. It is lightning and hurricane, all that is selfish, wicked, dishonest, and impure.
Moral and spiritual might belong to Spirit, who holds the "wind in His fists;" and this teaching accords with Science and harmony. In Science, you can have no power opposed to God, and the physical senses must give up their false testimony.
El falso testimonio del sentido material contrasta notablemente con el testimonio del Espíritu. El sentido material levanta su voz con la arrogancia de realidad y dice:
El mundo es mi reino. Estoy entronizado en el esplendor de la materia. Pero un toque, un accidente, la ley de Dios, puede en cualquier momento aniquilar mi paz, porque todos mis goces imaginarios son funestos. Cual lava que explota me dilato, sólo para mi desesperación, y brillo con el resplandor de fuego consumidor.
El Espíritu, dando testimonio opuesto, dice:
Yo soy el Espíritu. El hombre, cuyos sentidos son espirituales, es mi semejanza. Él refleja la comprensión infinita, porque Yo soy la Infinitud. La hermosura de la santidad, la perfección del ser, la gloria imperecedera —todas son Mías, porque Yo soy Dios. Yo doy inmortalidad al hombre, porque Yo soy Verdad. Incluyo e imparto toda felicidad, porque Yo soy Amor. Doy vida sin comienzo ni fin, porque Yo soy Vida. Soy supremo y lo doy todo, porque Yo soy Mente. Soy la sustancia de todo, porque YO SOY EL QUE SOY.
The false evidence of material sense contrasts strikingly with the testimony of Spirit. Material sense lifts its voice with the arrogance of reality and says:
The world is my kingdom. I am enthroned in the gorgeousness of matter. But a touch, an accident, the law of God, may at any moment annihilate my peace, for all my fancied joys are fatal. Like bursting lava, I expand but to my own despair, and shine with the resplendency of consuming fire.
Spirit, bearing opposite testimony, saith:
I am Spirit. Man, whose senses are spiritual, is my likeness. He reflects the infinite understanding, for I am Infinity. The beauty of holiness, the perfection of being, imperishable glory, — all are Mine, for I am God. I give immortality to man, for I am Truth. I include and impart all bliss, for I am Love. I give life, without beginning and without end, for I am Life. I am supreme and give all, for I am Mind. I am the substance of all, because I am that I am.
¿Pudo el Espíritu producir su opuesto, la materia, y dar a la materia la aptitud de pecar y sufrir? ¿Es el Espíritu, Dios, inyectado en el polvo y finalmente expulsado a exigencia de la materia? ¿Entra el Espíritu en el polvo y pierde allí la naturaleza y omnipotencia divinas? ¿Entra la Mente, Dios, en la materia, para volverse allí un pecador mortal, animado por el aliento de Dios?
Could Spirit evolve its opposite, matter, and give matter ability to sin and suffer? Is Spirit, God, injected into dust, and eventually ejected at the demand of matter? Does Spirit enter dust, and lose therein the divine nature and omnipotence? Does Mind, God, enter matter to become there a mortal sinner, animated by the breath of God?
El punto que cada uno debe decidir es, si es la mente mortal o la Mente inmortal que es causativa. Debiéramos abandonar la base de la materia y aceptar la Ciencia metafísica y su Principio divino.
The point for each one to decide is, whether it is mortal mind or immortal Mind that is causative. We should forsake the basis of matter for metaphysical Science and its divine Principle.
Imperturbada en medio del testimonio discordante de los sentidos materiales, la Ciencia, aún entronizada, está revelando a los mortales el Principio inmutable, armonioso y divino —revelando que la Vida y el universo están siempre presentes y son eternos.
Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle, — is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal.
La Mente insondable está expresada. La profundidad, anchura, altura, poder, majestad y gloria del Amor infinito llenan todo el espacio. ¡Eso es suficiente!
He aquí la declaración enfática de que Dios crea todo por medio de la Mente, no por medio de la materia,
Unfathomable Mind is expressed. The depth, breadth, height, might, majesty, and glory of infinite Love fill all space. That is enough!
Here is the emphatic declaration that God creates all through Mind, not through matter,
Dios es infinito, por lo tanto siempre presente, y no hay otro poder ni otra presencia. Por consiguiente, la espiritualidad del universo es la única realidad de la creación.
God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence. Hence the spirituality of the universe is the only fact of creation.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
