“Sanad enfermos, limpiad leprosos, resucitad muertos, echad fuera demonios; de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia.”

1. Lo que era desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que hemos contemplado, y palparon nuestras manos tocante al Verbo de vida
3. lo que hemos visto y oído, eso os anunciamos, para que también vosotros tengáis comunión con nosotros; y nuestra comunión verdaderamente es con el Padre, y con su Hijo Jesucristo.
4. Estas cosas os escribimos, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.
5. Este es el mensaje que hemos oído de él, y os anunciamos: Dios es luz, y no hay ningunas tinieblas en él.
1. Mirad cuál amor nos ha dado el Padre, para que seamos llamados hijos de Dios; por esto el mundo no nos conoce, porque no le conoció a él.
2. Amados, ahora somos hijos de Dios, y aún no se ha manifestado lo que hemos de ser; pero sabemos que cuando él se manifieste, seremos semejantes a él, porque le veremos tal como él es.
3. Y todo aquel que tiene esta esperanza en él, se purifica a sí mismo, así como él es puro.

3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

5. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
Leccion Sermon
23 Y recorrió Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.
24 Y se difundió su fama por toda Siria; y le trajeron todos los que tenían dolencias, los afligidos por diversas enfermedades y tormentos, los endemoniados, lunáticos y paralíticos; y los sanó.
25 Y le siguió mucha gente de Galilea, de Decápolis, de Jerusalén, de Judea y del otro lado del Jordán.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judæa, and from beyond Jordan.

3 Bienaventurados los pobres en espíritu, porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.
4 Bienaventurados los que lloran, porque ellos recibirán consolación.
5 Bienaventurados los mansos, porque ellos recibirán la tierra por heredad.
6 Bienaventurados los que tienen hambre y sed de justicia, porque ellos serán saciados.
7 Bienaventurados los misericordiosos, porque ellos alcanzarán misericordia.
8 Bienaventurados los de limpio corazón, porque ellos verán a Dios.
9 Bienaventurados los pacificadores, porque ellos serán llamados hijos de Dios.
10 Bienaventurados los que padecen persecución por causa de la justicia, porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

22 Entonces fue traído a él un endemoniado, ciego y mudo; y le sanó, de tal manera que el ciego y mudo veía y hablaba.
23 Y toda la gente estaba atónita, y decía: ¿Será este aquel Hijo de David?
24 Mas los fariseos, al oírlo, decían: Este no echa fuera los demonios sino por Beelzebú, príncipe de los demonios.
25 Sabiendo Jesús los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado, y toda ciudad o casa dividida contra sí misma, no permanecerá.
26 Y si Satanás echa fuera a Satanás, contra sí mismo está dividido; ¿cómo, pues, permanecerá su reino?
27 Y si yo echo fuera los demonios por Beelzebú, ¿por quién los echan vuestros hijos? Por tanto, ellos serán vuestros jueces.
28 Pero si yo por el Espíritu de Dios echo fuera los demonios, ciertamente ha llegado a vosotros el reino de Dios.
46 Mientras él aún hablaba a la gente, he aquí su madre y sus hermanos estaban afuera, y le querían hablar.
47 Y le dijo uno: He aquí tu madre y tus hermanos están afuera, y te quieren hablar.

22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
23 y Jesús andaba en el templo por el pórtico de Salomón.
24 Y le rodearon los judíos y le dijeron: ¿Hasta cuándo nos turbarás el alma? Si tú eres el Cristo, dínoslo abiertamente.
25 Jesús les respondió: Os lo he dicho, y no creéis; las obras que yo hago en nombre de mi Padre, ellas dan testimonio de mí;
26 pero vosotros no creéis, porque no sois de mis ovejas, como os he dicho.
27 Mis ovejas oyen mi voz, y yo las conozco, y me siguen,
28 y yo les doy vida eterna; y no perecerán jamás, ni nadie las arrebatará de mi mano.
29 Mi Padre que me las dio, es mayor que todos, y nadie las puede arrebatar de la mano de mi Padre.
30 Yo y el Padre uno somos.
31 Entonces los judíos volvieron a tomar piedras para apedrearle.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
1 Antes de la fiesta de la pascua, sabiendo Jesús que su hora había llegado para que pasase de este mundo al Padre, como había amado a los suyos que estaban en el mundo, los amó hasta el fin.
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
1 Estas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, la hora ha llegado; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti;
3 Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.
4 Yo te he glorificado en la tierra; he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciese.
13 Pero ahora voy a ti; y hablo esto en el mundo, para que tengan mi gozo cumplido en sí mismos.
19 Y por ellos yo me santifico a mí mismo, para que también ellos sean santificados en la verdad.
20 Mas no ruego solamente por estos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos,
22 La gloria que me diste, yo les he dado, para que sean uno, así como nosotros somos uno.
25 Padre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, pero yo te he conocido, y estos han conocido que tú me enviaste.
26 Y les he dado a conocer tu nombre, y lo daré a conocer aún, para que el amor con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
13 porque tuyo es el reino, y el poder, y la gloria, por todos los siglos. Amén.
13 For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
La reconciliación es la ejemplificación de la unidad del hombre con Dios, por la cual el hombre refleja la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos. Jesús de Nazaret enseñó y demostró la unidad del hombre con el Padre, y por eso le debemos homenaje eterno. Su misión fue a la vez individual y colectiva. Él hizo bien la obra de la vida, no sólo en justicia para consigo mismo, sino por misericordia para con los mortales —para enseñarles a hacerla ellos mismos pero no para hacerla por ellos ni para eximirlos de una sola responsabilidad. Jesús obró valientemente, en contra del testimonio acreditado de los sentidos, en contra de los credos y las prácticas de los fariseos, y refutó a todos los opositores con su poder curativo.
La expiación de Cristo reconcilia al hombre con Dios, no a Dios con el hombre; porque el Principio divino de Cristo es Dios,
Atonement is the exemplification of man's unity with God, whereby man reflects divine Truth, Life, and Love. Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man's oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage. His mission was both individual and collective. He did life's work aright not only in justice to himself, but in mercy to mortals, — to show them how to do theirs, but not to do it for them nor to relieve them of a single responsibility. Jesus acted boldly, against the accredited evidence of the senses, against Pharisaical creeds and practices, and he refuted all opponents with his healing power.
The atonement of Christ reconciles man to God, not God to man; for the divine Principle of Christ is God,
Jesús estableció su iglesia y mantuvo su misión sobre la base espiritual de la curación mediante el Cristo. Enseñó a sus seguidores que su religión tenía un Principio divino que podía expulsar al error y sanar tanto al enfermo como al pecador. No pretendió tener inteligencia, acción, ni vida separadas de Dios. A pesar de la persecución que eso le ocasionó, utilizó su poder divino para salvar a los hombres tanto corporal como espiritualmente.
Entonces, como ahora, se suscita la pregunta: ¿Cómo sanaba Jesús a los enfermos? Su respuesta a esa pregunta fue rechazada por el mundo.
Jesus established his church and maintained his mission on a spiritual foundation of Christ-healing. He taught his followers that his religion had a divine Principle, which would cast out error and heal both the sick and the sinning. He claimed no intelligence, action, nor life separate from God. Despite the persecution this brought upon him, he used his divine power to save men both bodily and spiritually.
The question then as now was, How did Jesus heal the sick? His answer to this question the world rejected.
Esa máxima de nuestro Maestro: "Yo y el Padre uno somos", lo separó de la teología escolástica de los rabinos. Su mejor comprensión de Dios era un reproche para ellos. Él sabía de sólo una Mente y no pretendía poseer ninguna otra. Sabía que el Ego era Mente, en vez de cuerpo, y que la materia, el pecado y el mal no eran Mente; y su comprensión de esa Ciencia divina le acarreó los anatemas de la época.
Los opuestos y falsos puntos de vista de la gente les ocultaron a su percepción la filiación de Cristo con Dios. Ellos no podían discernir la existencia espiritual de Cristo. Sus mentes carnales estaban en enemistad con ella. Sus pensamientos estaban repletos de error mortal, y no de la idea espiritual de Dios como fue presentada por Cristo Jesús. Perdemos de vista la semejanza de Dios debido al pecado, que oscurece al sentido espiritual de la Verdad; y percibimos esa semejanza solo cuando vencemos al pecado y demostramos la herencia del hombre, la libertad de los hijos de Dios.
That saying of our Master, "I and my Father are one," separated him from the scholastic theology of the rabbis. His better understanding of God was a rebuke to them. He knew of but one Mind and laid no claim to any other. He knew that the Ego was Mind instead of body and that matter, sin, and evil were not Mind; and his understanding of this divine Science brought upon him the anathemas of the age.
The opposite and false views of the people hid from their sense Christ's sonship with God. They could not discern his spiritual existence. Their carnal minds were at enmity with it. Their thoughts were filled with mortal error, instead of with God's spiritual idea as presented by Christ Jesus. The likeness of God we lose sight of through sin, which beclouds the spiritual sense of Truth; and we realize this likeness only when we subdue sin and prove man's heritage, the liberty of the sons of God.
Jesús anduvo sobre las olas, alimentó a las multitudes, sanó a los enfermos y resucitó a los muertos en directa oposición a las leyes materiales. Sus actos eran la demostración de la Ciencia, venciendo las falsas pretensiones de los sentidos o leyes materiales.
Jesus walked on the waves, fed the multitude, healed the sick, and raised the dead in direct opposition to material laws. His acts were the demonstration of Science, overcoming the false claims of material sense or law.
El Cristo era el Espíritu a que Jesús aludió en sus propias declaraciones: "Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida" y "Yo y el Padre uno somos". Este Cristo, o divinidad del hombre Jesús, era su naturaleza divina, la santidad que le animaba. La Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos le daban a Jesús autoridad sobre el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte. Su misión fue revelar la Ciencia del ser celestial, probar lo que Dios es y lo que hace por el hombre.
The Christ was the Spirit which Jesus implied in his own statements: "I am the way, the truth, and the life;" "I and my Father are one." This Christ, or divinity of the man Jesus, was his divine nature, the godliness which animated him. Divine Truth, Life, and Love gave Jesus authority over sin, sickness, and death. His mission was to reveal the Science of celestial being, to prove what God is and what He does for man.
Para ser verdaderamente feliz, el hombre debe armonizar con su Principio, el Amor divino; el Hijo debe estar de acuerdo con el Padre, en conformidad con Cristo.
For true happiness, man must harmonize with his Principle, divine Love; the Son must be in accord with the Father, in conformity with Christ.
Nuestro Padre celestial, el Amor divino, exige que todos sigan el ejemplo de nuestro Maestro y sus apóstoles y no meramente que adoren su personalidad. Triste es que la frase servicio divino haya llegado tan generalmente a significar culto público en vez de obras diarias.
La naturaleza del cristianismo es apacible y bendita, pero para entrar en el reino, hay que echar el ancla de la esperanza más allá del velo de la materia en el Lugar Santísimo, en el que Jesús ha entrado antes que nosotros; y ese adelanto más allá de la materia ha de venir por las alegrías y los triunfos de los justos así como por sus pesares y aflicciones. Como nuestro Maestro, tenemos que alejarnos del sentido material para entrar en el sentido espiritual del ser.
Our heavenly Father, divine Love, demands that all men should follow the example of our Master and his apostles and not merely worship his personality. It is sad that the phrase divine service has come so generally to mean public worship instead of daily deeds.
The nature of Christianity is peaceful and blessed, but in order to enter into the kingdom, the anchor of hope must be cast beyond the veil of matter into the Shekinah into which Jesus has passed before us; and this advance beyond matter must come through the joys and triumphs of the righteous as well as through their sorrows and afflictions. Like our Master, we must depart from material sense into the spiritual sense of being.
Toda angustia de arrepentimiento y sufrimiento, todo esfuerzo por reformarnos, todo pensamiento bueno y obra buena, nos ayudarán a comprender la expiación de Jesús por el pecado, y contribuirán a su eficacia; pero si el pecador continúa orando y arrepintiéndose,
pecando y apenándose, participa poco de la reconciliación —de la unión con Dios— porque le falta el arrepentimiento práctico que reforma al corazón y capacita al hombre para hacer la voluntad de la sabiduría. Quienes no pueden demostrar, por lo menos en cierta medida, el Principio divino de las enseñanzas y de la práctica de nuestro Maestro, no tienen parte en Dios. Si vivimos en desobediencia a Él, no debiéramos sentir seguridad, aunque Dios sea bueno.
Every pang of repentance and suffering, every effort for reform, every good thought and deed, will help us to understand Jesus' atonement for sin and aid its efficacy; but if the sinner continues to pray and repent, sin and be sorry, he has little part in the atonement, — in the at-one-ment with God, — for he lacks the practical repentance, which reforms the heart and enables man to do the will of wisdom. Those who cannot demonstrate, at least in part, the divine Principle of the teachings and practice of our Master have no part in God. If living in disobedience to Him, we ought to feel no security, although God is good.
Jesús dijo: "Estas señales seguirán a los que creen: ... sobre los enfermos pondrán sus manos, y sanarán". ¿Quién le cree? Se dirigía a sus discípulos, empero no dijo: "Estas señales os seguirán", sino les seguirán —"a los que creen" en todo tiempo venidero. … En otra ocasión Jesús oró, no solo por los doce, sino por todos los que creyeren "por la palabra de ellos".
Jesus said: "These signs shall follow them that believe; ... they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Who believes him? He was addressing his disciples, yet he did not say, "These signs shall follow you," but them— "them that believe" in all time to come. … At another time Jesus prayed, not for the twelve only, but for as many as should believe "through their word."
Todos tenemos que aprender que la Vida es Dios. Preguntaos: ¿Estoy viviendo la vida que más se acerca al bien supremo? ¿Estoy demostrando el poder sanador de la Verdad y el Amor? Si es así, entonces el camino se irá iluminando cada vez más, "hasta que el día es perfecto". Vuestros frutos probarán lo que el comprender a Dios le trae al hombre. Mantened perpetuamente este pensamiento: que es la idea espiritual, el Espíritu Santo y Cristo, lo que os capacita para demostrar con certeza científica la regla de la curación, basada en su Principio divino, el Amor, que está por debajo, por encima y alrededor de todo el ser verdadero.
We all must learn that Life is God. Ask yourself: Am I living the life that approaches the supreme good? Am I demonstrating the healing power of Truth and Love? If so, then the way will grow brighter "unto the perfect day." Your fruits will prove what the understanding of God brings to man. Hold perpetually this thought, — that it is the spiritual idea, the Holy Ghost and Christ, which enables you to demonstrate, with scientific certainty, the rule of healing, based upon its divine Principle, Love, underlying, overlying, and encompassing all true being.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
