19 Jehová con sabiduría fundó la tierra; Afirmó los cielos con inteligencia.
20 Con su ciencia los abismos fueron divididos, Y destilan rocío los cielos.
19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
3 Porque Jehová es Dios grande,
4 Porque en su mano están las profundidades de la tierra, Y las alturas de los montes son suyas.
5 Suyo también el mar, pues él lo hizo; Y sus manos formaron la tierra seca.
6 Venid, adoremos y postrémonos; Arrodillémonos delante de Jehová nuestro Hacedor.
7 Porque él es nuestro Dios; Nosotros el pueblo de su prado, y ovejas de su mano.
3 For the Lord is a great God,
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
5 Y fue dado aviso al rey de Egipto, que el pueblo huía; y el corazón de Faraón y de sus siervos se volvió contra el pueblo,
13 Y Moisés dijo al pueblo: No temáis; estad firmes, y ved la salvación que Jehová hará hoy con vosotros; porque los egipcios que hoy habéis visto, nunca más para siempre los veréis.
14 Jehová peleará por vosotros, y vosotros estaréis tranquilos.
21 Y extendió Moisés su mano sobre el mar, e hizo Jehová que el mar se retirase…
22 Entonces los hijos de Israel entraron por en medio del mar, en seco:
23 Y siguiéndolos los egipcios, entraron tras ellos hasta la mitad del mar,
26 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: Extiende tu mano sobre el mar, para que las aguas vuelvan sobre los egipcios,
28 Y volvieron las aguas, y cubrieron los carros y la caballería, y todo el ejército de Faraón…
31 Y vio Israel aquel grande hecho que Jehová ejecutó contra los egipcios; y el pueblo temió a Jehová, y creyeron a Jehová y a Moisés su siervo.
5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people,
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

22 E hizo Moisés que partiese Israel del Mar Rojo, y salieron al desierto de Shur; y anduvieron tres días por el desierto sin hallar agua.
23 Y llegaron a Mara, y no pudieron beber las aguas de Mara, porque eran amargas:
24 Entonces el pueblo murmuró contra Moisés, y dijo: ¿Qué hemos de beber?
25 Y Moisés clamó a Jehová, y Jehová le mostró un árbol; y lo echó en las aguas, y las aguas se endulzaron.
22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter:
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet:
1 Partió luego de Elim toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, y vino al desierto de Sin,
2 Y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel murmuró contra Moisés y Aarón en el desierto:
3 y les decían los hijos de Israel: Ojalá hubiéramos muerto por mano de Jehová en la tierra de Egipto, cuando nos sentábamos a las ollas de carne, cuando comíamos pan hasta saciarnos; pues nos habéis sacado a este desierto para matar de hambre a toda esta multitud.
8 Y dijo Moisés, … él ha oído vuestras murmuraciones:
11 Y Jehová habló a Moisés, diciendo,
12 Yo he oído las murmuraciones de los hijos de Israel; háblales, diciendo: Al caer la tarde comeréis carne, y por la mañana os saciaréis de pan, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin,
2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
8 And Moses said, … the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him:
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.

15 Pero algunos de ellos decían: Por Beelzebú, príncipe de los demonios, echa fuera los demonios.
16 Otros, para tentarle, le pedían señal del cielo.
17 Mas él, conociendo los pensamientos de ellos, les dijo: Todo reino dividido contra sí mismo, es asolado;

14 …was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation;
20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

30 Porque todas estas cosas buscan las gentes del mundo; pero vuestro Padre sabe que tenéis necesidad de estas cosas.

22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
29 …seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
1 De Jehová es la tierra y su plenitud; El mundo, y los que en él habitan.
2 Porque él la fundó sobre los mares, Y la afirmó sobre los ríos.
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
13 Porque he aquí, el que forma los montes, y crea el viento, y anuncia al hombre su pensamiento; el que hace de las tinieblas mañana, y pasa sobre las alturas de la tierra; Jehová Dios de los ejércitos es su nombre.
13 For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name.
Dios crea y gobierna el universo, incluso el hombre. El universo está lleno de ideas espirituales, que Dios desarrolla, y éstas obedecen a la Mente que las crea.
God creates and governs the universe, including man. The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them.
El universo del Espíritu refleja el poder creador del Principio divino, o la Vida, que reproduce las innumerables formaciones de la Mente y gobierna la multiplicación de la idea compuesta, el hombre. El árbol y la hierba dan fruto no porque tengan algún poder propagativo propio, sino porque reflejan a la Mente que lo incluye todo.
The universe of Spirit reflects the creative power of the divine Principle, or Life, which reproduces the multitudinous forms of Mind and governs the multiplication of the compound idea man. The tree and herb do not yield fruit because of any propagating power of their own, but because they reflect the Mind which includes all.
En Egipto, fue la Mente la que salvó a los israelitas de la creencia en las plagas. En el desierto, salió agua de la peña en abundancia y el maná cayó del cielo. … En períodos de prosperidad nacional, milagros acompañaban los triunfos de los hebreos; pero cuando se apartaron de la idea verdadera, comenzó su desmoralización.
In Egypt, it was Mind which saved the Israelites from belief in the plagues. In the wilderness, streams flowed from the rock, and manna fell from the sky. … In national prosperity, miracles attended the successes of the Hebrews; but when they departed from the true idea, their demoralization began.
El milagro no introduce desorden, sino que revela el orden primordial, estableciendo la Ciencia de la ley inmutable de Dios. Sólo la evolución espiritual es digna del ejercicio del poder divino.
El mismo poder que sana al pecado sana también a la enfermedad. Ésta es "la hermosura de la santidad": que cuando la Verdad sana a los enfermos, echa fuera los males, y cuando la Verdad echa fuera el mal llamado enfermedad, sana a los enfermos. Cuando Cristo echó fuera el demonio de la mudez, "aconteció que salido el demonio, el mudo habló". Existe hoy día el peligro de repetir la ofensa de los judíos por limitar al Santo de Israel y preguntar: "¿Podrá [Dios] poner mesa en el desierto?" ¿Qué no puede hacer Dios?
The miracle introduces no disorder, but unfolds the primal order, establishing the Science of God's unchangeable law. Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.
The same power which heals sin heals also sickness. This is "the beauty of holiness," that when Truth heals the sick, it casts out evils, and when Truth casts out the evil called disease, it heals the sick. When Christ cast out the devil of dumbness, "it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake." There is to-day danger of repeating the offence of the Jews by limiting the Holy One of Israel and asking: "Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?" What cannot God do?
La adhesión, la cohesión y la atracción son propiedades de la Mente. Pertenecen al Principio divino y sostienen el equilibrio de esa fuerza del pensamiento que lanzó a la tierra en su órbita y dijo a la ola orgullosa: "Hasta aquí, y no más".
El Espíritu es la vida, la sustancia y la continuidad de todas las cosas. Andamos sobre fuerzas. Retiradlas, y la creación forzosamente se desplomará. El conocimiento humano las llama fuerzas de la materia; pero la Ciencia divina declara que pertenecen por entero a la Mente divina, que son inherentes a esa Mente, y así las restituye a su justo lugar y clasificación.
Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind. They belong to divine Principle, and support the equipoise of that thought-force, which launched the earth in its orbit and said to the proud wave, "Thus far and no farther."
Spirit is the life, substance, and continuity of all things. We tread on forces. Withdraw them, and creation must collapse. Human knowledge calls them forces of matter; but divine Science declares that they belong wholly to divine Mind, are inherent in this Mind, and so restores them to their rightful home and classification.
No materialmente, sino espiritualmente, Le conocemos como Mente divina, como Vida, Verdad y Amor. Obedeceremos y adoraremos en la proporción en que comprendamos la naturaleza de Dios y Le amemos con comprensión, no altercando más acerca de Su corporeidad, sino regocijándonos en la afluencia de nuestro Dios. La religión será entonces del corazón y no de la cabeza. La humanidad ya no será tiránica y proscriptora por falta de amor —colando mosquitos y tragando camellos.
Adoramos espiritualmente sólo cuando dejamos de adorar materialmente. La devoción espiritual es el alma del cristianismo.
Not materially but spiritually we know Him as divine Mind, as Life, Truth, and Love. We shall obey and adore in proportion as we apprehend the divine nature and love Him understandingly, warring no more over the corporeality, but rejoicing in the affluence of our God. Religion will then be of the heart and not of the head. Mankind will no longer be tyrannical and proscriptive from lack of love, — straining out gnats and swallowing camels.
We worship spiritually, only as we cease to worship materially. Spiritual devoutness is the soul of Christianity.
El Espíritu imparte la comprensión que eleva a la consciencia y conduce a toda la verdad. El Salmista dice: "Jehová en las alturas es más poderoso que el estruendo de las muchas aguas, más que las recias ondas del mar". El sentido espiritual es el discernimiento del bien espiritual. La comprensión es la línea de demarcación entre lo real y lo irreal. La comprensión espiritual revela a la Mente —Vida, Verdad y Amor— y demuestra al sentido divino, dando prueba espiritual del universo en la Ciencia Cristiana.
Spirit imparts the understanding which uplifts consciousness and leads into all truth. … Spiritual sense is the discernment of spiritual good. Understanding is the line of demarcation between the real and unreal. Spiritual understanding unfolds Mind, — Life, Truth, and Love, — and demonstrates the divine sense, giving the spiritual proof of the universe in Christian Science.
En la Ciencia divina, el hombre es sostenido por Dios, el Principio divino del ser. La tierra, al mandato de Dios, produce alimento para el uso del hombre. Sabiendo eso, Jesús una vez dijo: "No os afanéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer o qué habéis de beber" —no arrogándose la prerrogativa de su creador, sino reconociendo que Dios, el Padre y la Madre de todos, es capaz de alimentar y vestir al hombre como lo hace con los lirios.
In divine Science, man is sustained by God, the divine Principle of being. The earth, at God's command, brings forth food for man's use. Knowing this, Jesus once said, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink," — presuming not on the prerogative of his creator, but recognizing God, the Father and Mother of all, as able to feed and clothe man as He doth the lilies.
El Amor divino siempre ha respondido y siempre responderá a toda necesidad humana. No está bien imaginarse que Jesús demostró el poder divino sanador sólo en beneficio de un número selecto o de un tiempo limitado, puesto que a la humanidad entera y a toda hora el Amor divino suministra todo el bien.
El milagro de la gracia no es milagro para el Amor. Jesús demostró la incapacidad de la corporeidad, como también la capacidad infinita del Espíritu, ayudando así al errado sentido humano a huir de sus propias convicciones y a buscar seguridad en la Ciencia divina.
Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. … to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good.
The miracle of grace is no miracle to Love. Jesus demonstrated the inability of corporeality, as well as the infinite ability of Spirit, thus helping erring human sense to flee from its own convictions and seek safety in divine Science.
Las relaciones entre Dios y el hombre, el Principio divino y la idea divina, son indestructibles en la Ciencia; y la Ciencia no conoce ningún alejamiento de la armonía ni retorno a ella, sino mantiene que el orden divino o ley espiritual, en que Dios y todo lo que es creado por Él son perfectos y eternos, ha permanecido inalterado en su historia eterna.
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
Desde el comienzo hasta el fin, las Escrituras están llenas de relatos del triunfo del Espíritu, la Mente, sobre la materia. From beginning to end, the Scriptures are full of accounts of the triumph of Spirit, Mind, over matter. Moses proved the power of Mind by what men called miracles; so did Joshua, Elijah, and Elisha. The Christian era was ushered in with signs and wonders.

In proportion as matter loses to human sense all entity as man, in that proportion does man become its master. He enters into a diviner sense of the facts, and comprehends the theology of Jesus …
Moisés adelantó una nación a la adoración de Dios en Espíritu en vez de materia e ilustró las grandes capacidades humanas del ser otorgadas por la Mente inmortal.
Moses advanced a nation to the worship of God in Spirit instead of matter, and illustrated the grand human capacities of being bestowed by immortal Mind.
Así como los hijos de Israel fueron guiados triunfalmente a través del Mar Rojo, el oscuro flujo y reflujo del temor humano —así como fueron conducidos a través del desierto, caminando cansados por el gran yermo de las esperanzas humanas, en espera del goce prometido— así la idea espiritual guiará todos los deseos justos en su jornada de los sentidos al Alma, de un concepto material de la existencia al espiritual, hasta alcanzar la gloria preparada para los que aman a Dios. La Ciencia majestuosa no se detiene, sino que va delante de ellos, una columna de nube de día y de fuego de noche, conduciendo hacia las alturas divinas.
As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear, — as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy, — so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God. Stately Science pauses not, but moves before them, a pillar of cloud by day and of fire by night, leading to divine heights.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
