1 Levántate, resplandece; porque ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti.
2 Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad las naciones; mas sobre ti amanecerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.
3 Fortaleced las manos cansadas, afirmad las rodillas endebles.
4 Decid a los de corazón apocado: Esforzaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con retribución, con pago; Dios mismo vendrá, y os salvará.
5 Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.
6 Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo, y cantará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y torrentes en la soledad.
7 El lugar seco se convertirá en estanque, y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas.
10 Y los redimidos de Jehová volverán, y vendrán a Sion con alegría; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
1. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water.
10. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

11 Tuya es, oh Jehová, la magnificencia y el poder, la gloria, la victoria y el honor; porque todas las cosas que están en los cielos y en la tierra son tuyas. Tuyo, oh Jehová, es el reino, y tú eres excelso sobre todos.
11 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
7 El ángel de Jehová acampa alrededor de los que le temen, Y los defiende.
15 Los ojos de Jehová están sobre los justos, Y atentos sus oídos al clamor de ellos.
17 Claman los justos, y Jehová oye, Y los libra de todas sus angustias.
18 Cercano está Jehová a los quebrantados de corazón; Y salva a los contritos de espíritu.

7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
2 Y hay en Jerusalén, cerca de la puerta de las ovejas, un estanque, llamado en hebreo Betesda, el cual tiene cinco pórticos.
3 En estos yacía una multitud de enfermos, ciegos, cojos y paralíticos, que esperaban el movimiento del agua.
5 Y había allí un hombre que hacía treinta y ocho años que estaba enfermo.
6 Cuando Jesús lo vio acostado, y supo que llevaba ya mucho tiempo así, le dijo: ¿Quieres ser sano?
7 Señor, le respondió el enfermo, no tengo quien me meta en el estanque cuando se agita el agua; y entre tanto que yo voy, otro desciende antes que yo.
8 Jesús le dijo: Levántate, toma tu lecho, y anda.
9 Y al instante aquel hombre fue sanado, y tomó su lecho, y anduvo.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked:
1 Al pasar Jesús, vio a un hombre ciego de nacimiento.
2 Y le preguntaron sus discípulos, diciendo: Rabí, ¿quién pecó, este o sus padres, para que haya nacido ciego?
3 Respondió Jesús: No es que pecó este, ni sus padres, sino para que las obras de Dios se manifiesten en él.
4 Me es necesario hacer las obras del que me envió, entre tanto que el día dura; la noche viene, cuando nadie puede trabajar.
5 Entre tanto que estoy en el mundo, luz soy del mundo.
6 Dicho esto, escupió en tierra, e hizo lodo con la saliva, y untó con el lodo los ojos del ciego,
7 y le dijo: Ve a lavarte en el estanque de Siloé (que traducido es, Enviado). Fue entonces, y se lavó, y regresó viendo.
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
21 Pasando otra vez Jesús en una barca a la otra orilla, se reunió alrededor de él una gran multitud; y él estaba junto al mar.
22 Y vino uno de los principales de la sinagoga, llamado Jairo; y luego que le vio, se postró a sus pies,
23 y le rogaba mucho, diciendo: Mi hija está agonizando; ven y pon las manos sobre ella para que sea salva, y vivirá.
35 Mientras él aún hablaba, vinieron de casa del principal de la sinagoga, diciendo: Tu hija ha muerto; ¿para qué molestas más al Maestro?
36 Pero Jesús, luego que oyó lo que se decía, dijo al principal de la sinagoga: No temas, cree solamente.
37 Y no permitió que le siguiese nadie sino Pedro, Jacobo, y Juan hermano de Jacobo.
38 Y vino a casa del principal de la sinagoga, y vio el alboroto y a los que lloraban y lamentaban mucho.
39 Y entrando, les dijo: ¿Por qué alborotáis y lloráis? La niña no está muerta, sino duerme.
40 Y se burlaban de él. Mas él, echando fuera a todos, tomó al padre y a la madre de la niña, y a los que estaban con él, y entró donde estaba la niña.
41 Y tomando la mano de la niña, le dijo: Talita cumi; que traducido es: Niña, a ti te digo, levántate.
42 Y luego la niña se levantó y andaba, pues tenía doce años. Y se espantaron grandemente.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
1 Vi un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva; porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra pasaron, y el mar ya no existía más.
3 Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios.
4 Enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor; porque las primeras cosas pasaron.
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Puesto que Dios es Todo, no hay lugar para Su desemejanza. Sólo Dios, el Espíritu, lo creó todo y lo llamó bueno. Por tanto, el mal, siendo contrario al bien, es irreal, y no puede ser el producto
de Dios.
Since God is All, there is no room for His unlikeness. God, Spirit, alone created all, and called it good. Therefore evil, being contrary to good, is unreal, and cannot be the product of God.
La realidad es espiritual, armoniosa, inmutable, inmortal, divina, eterna.
Reality is spiritual, harmonious, immutable, immortal, divine, eternal. Nothing unspiritual can be real, harmonious, or eternal.
Toda realidad está en Dios y Su creación, armoniosa y eterna. Lo que Él crea es bueno, y Él hace todo lo que es hecho. Por tanto, la única realidad del pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte es la terrible verdad de que las irrealidades parecen reales a la creencia humana y errada, hasta que Dios las despoja de su disfraz. No son verdaderas, porque no proceden de Dios. Aprendemos en la Ciencia Cristiana que toda desarmonía de la mente o del cuerpo mortales es una ilusión y no posee ni realidad ni identidad, aunque parezca que es real y que tiene identidad.
All reality is in God and His creation, harmonious and eternal. That which He creates is good, and He makes all that is made. Therefore the only reality of sin, sickness, or death is the awful fact that unrealities seem real to human, erring belief, until God strips off their disguise. They are not true, because they are not of God. We learn in Christian Science that all inharmony of mortal mind or body is illusion, possessing neither reality nor identity though seeming to be real and identical.
El Principio-Dios es omnipresente y omnipotente. Dios está en todas partes, y nada fuera de Él está presente ni tiene poder. El Cristo es la Verdad ideal, que viene a sanar a la enfermedad y al pecado por medio de la Ciencia Cristiana y que atribuye todo el poder a Dios.
Jesús estableció por medio de la demostración lo que dijo, dando así a sus acciones mayor importancia que a sus palabras. Él probó lo que enseñó. Esto es la Ciencia del cristianismo. Jesús probó que el Principio que sana al enfermo y echa fuera al error es divino. Pocos, sin embargo, excepto sus discípulos, entendieron en lo más mínimo sus enseñanzas y las gloriosas pruebas de esas enseñanzas —a saber, que la Vida, la Verdad y el Amor (el Principio de esa Ciencia no reconocida) destruyen todo error, todo mal, enfermedad y muerte.
The God-principle is omnipresent and omnipotent. God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power. Christ is the ideal Truth, that comes to heal sickness and sin through Christian Science, and attributes all power to God.
Jesus established what he said by demonstration, thus making his acts of higher importance than his words. He proved what he taught. This is the Science of Christianity. Jesus proved the Principle, which heals the sick and casts out error, to be divine. Few, however, except his students understood in the least his teachings and their glorious proofs, — namely, that Life, Truth, and Love (the Principle of this unacknowledged Science) destroy all error, evil, disease, and death.
La Verdad eterna destruye lo que los mortales parecen haber aprendido del error, y la existencia real del hombre como hijo de Dios sale a la luz. La Verdad demostrada es vida eterna. El hombre mortal nunca podrá elevarse de los escombros temporales del error, de la creencia en el pecado, la enfermedad y la muerte, hasta que aprenda que Dios es la única Vida. La creencia de que la vida y la sensación están en el cuerpo debe ser vencida comprendiendo
lo que constituye al hombre como imagen de Dios.
The eternal Truth destroys what mortals seem to have learned from error, and man's real existence as a child of God comes to light. Truth demonstrated is eternal life. Mortal man can never rise from the temporal débris of error, belief in sin, sickness, and death, until he learns that God is the only Life. The belief that life and sensation are in the body should be overcome by the understanding of what constitutes man as the image of God.
En la Ciencia divina, el hombre es la imagen verdadera de Dios. La naturaleza divina se expresó de la mejor manera en Cristo Jesús, quien reflejó más exactamente a Dios a los mortales y elevó sus vidas a un nivel más alto que el que les concedían sus pobres modelos de pensamiento —
pensamientos que presentaban al hombre como caído, enfermo, pecador y mortal. La comprensión, semejante a la de Cristo, del ser científico y de la curación divina, incluye un Principio perfecto y una idea perfecta —Dios perfecto y hombre perfecto— como base del pensamiento y de la demostración.
In divine Science, man is the true image of God. The divine nature was best expressed in Christ Jesus, who threw upon mortals the truer reflection of God and lifted their lives higher than their poor thought-models would allow, — thoughts which presented man as fallen, sick, sinning, and dying. The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, — perfect God and perfect man, — as the basis of thought and demonstration.
Por consenso universal, la creencia mortal se ha autoconstituido en ley, para atar a los mortales a la enfermedad, al pecado y a la muerte. A esa creencia generalizada se la llama equivocadamente ley material, y quien la sostenga está equivocado en la teoría y en la práctica. La llamada ley de la mente mortal, conjectural y especulativa, es anulada por la ley de la Mente inmortal, y una ley falsa debe ser pisoteada.
Si Dios hace que el hombre enferme, la enfermedad debe ser lo bueno, y su opuesto, la salud, debe ser lo malo, porque todo lo que Él crea es bueno y perdurará para siempre. Si la transgresión de la ley de Dios produce enfermedad, es justo enfermarse; y no podríamos, aunque quisiéramos, y no debiéramos, aunque pudiéramos, anular los decretos de la sabiduría. Es la transgresión de una creencia de la mente mortal, no de una ley de la materia ni de la Mente divina, lo que produce la creencia en la enfermedad. El remedio es la Verdad, no la materia, —la verdad de que la enfermedad es irreal.
Si la enfermedad es real, pertenece a la inmortalidad; si es verdadera, es parte de la Verdad. ¿Intentaríais destruir, con medicamentos, o sin ellos, una cualidad o condición de la Verdad? Pero si la enfermedad y el pecado son ilusiones, el despertamiento de este sueño mortal o ilusión, nos llevará a la salud, la santidad y la inmortalidad. Ese despertar es la eterna venida del Cristo, el aparecimiento avanzado de la Verdad, que echa fuera al error y sana a los enfermos. Ésa es la salvación que viene de Dios, el Principio divino, el Amor, como fue demostrado por Jesús.
By universal consent, mortal belief has constituted itself a law to bind mortals to sickness, sin, and death. This customary belief is misnamed material law, and the individual who upholds it is mistaken in theory and in practice. The so-called law of mortal mind, conjectural and speculative, is made void by the law of immortal Mind, and false law should be trampled under foot.
If God causes man to be sick, sickness must be good, and its opposite, health, must be evil, for all that He makes is good and will stand forever. If the transgression of God's law produces sickness, it is right to be sick; and we cannot if we would, and should not if we could, annul the decrees of wisdom. It is the transgression of a belief of mortal mind, not of a law of matter nor of divine Mind, which causes the belief of sickness. The remedy is Truth, not matter, — the truth that disease is unreal.
If sickness is real, it belongs to immortality; if true, it is a part of Truth. Would you attempt with drugs, or without, to destroy a quality or condition of Truth? But if sickness and sin are illusions, the awakening from this mortal dream, or illusion, will bring us into health, holiness, and immortality. This awakening is the forever coming of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth, which casts out error and heals the sick. This is the salvation which comes through God, the divine Principle, Love, as demonstrated by Jesus.
Jesús veía en la Ciencia al hombre perfecto, que aparecía a él donde el hombre mortal y pecador aparece a los mortales. En ese hombre perfecto el Salvador veía la semejanza misma de Dios, y esa manera correcta de ver al hombre sanaba a los enfermos. Así Jesús enseñó que el reino de Dios está intacto, que es universal y que el hombre es puro y santo.
Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.
El dominio de la Mente sobre el universo, incluso el hombre, ya no es una cuestión discutible, sino Ciencia demostrable. Jesús ilustró el Principio divino y el poder de la Mente inmortal sanando la enfermedad y el pecado y destruyendo los fundamentos de la muerte.
Mind's control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science. Jesus illustrated the divine Principle and the power of immortal Mind by healing sickness and sin and destroying the foundations of death.
La Mente tiene dominio sobre los sentidos corporales y puede vencer a la enfermedad, al
pecado y a la muerte. Ejerced esa autoridad otorgada por Dios. Tomad posesión de vuestro cuerpo y regid sus sensaciones y funciones. Levantaos en la fuerza del Espíritu para resistir todo lo que sea desemejante al bien. Dios ha hecho al hombre capaz de eso, y nada puede invalidar la
capacidad y el poder divinamente otorgados al hombre.
Es bueno estar calmado durante la enfermedad; estar esperanzado es aún mejor; pero comprender que la enfermedad no es real y que la Verdad puede destruir su aparente realidad, es lo mejor de todo, ya que esa comprensión es el remedio universal y perfecto.
Mind is the master of the corporeal senses, and can conquer sickness, sin, and death. Exercise this God-given authority. Take possession of your body, and govern its feeling and action. Rise in the strength of Spirit to resist all that is unlike good. God has made man capable of this, and nothing can vitiate the ability and power divinely bestowed on man.
It is well to be calm in sickness; to be hopeful is still better; but to understand that sickness is not real and that Truth can destroy its seeming reality, is best of all, for this understanding is the universal and perfect remedy.
Cuando la ilusión de enfermedad o de pecado os tiente, aferraos firmemente a Dios y Su idea. No permitáis que nada sino Su semejanza more en vuestro pensamiento. No consintáis que ni el temor ni la duda oscurezcan vuestro claro sentido y serena confianza, que el reconocimiento de la vida armoniosa — como lo es la Vida eternamente— puede destruir cualquier concepto doloroso o creencia acerca de lo que la Vida no es. Dejad que la Ciencia Cristiana, en vez del sentido corporal, apoye vuestra comprensión del ser, y esa comprensión sustituirá al error con la Verdad, reemplazará a la mortalidad con la inmortalidad y acallará a la discordancia con la armonía.
When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought. Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious — as Life eternally is — can destroy any painful sense of, or belief in, that which Life is not. Let Christian Science, instead of corporeal sense, support your understanding of being, and this understanding will supplant error with Truth, replace mortality with immortality, and silence discord with harmony.

Será deber de cada miembro de esta Iglesia orar diariamente: "Venga Tu reino"; haz que el reino de la Verdad, la Vida y el Amor divinos se establezca en mí, y quita de mí todo pecado; ¡y que Tu Palabra fecunde los afectos de toda la humanidad, y los gobierne!
Ni la animosidad ni el mero afecto personal deben impulsar los móviles o actos de los miembros de La Iglesia Madre. En la Ciencia, sólo el Amor divino gobierna al hombre, y el Científico Cristiano refleja la dulce amenidad del Amor al reprender el pecado, al expresar verdadera confraternidad, caridad y perdón. Los miembros de esta Iglesia deben velar y orar diariamente para ser liberados de todo mal, de profetizar, juzgar, condenar, aconsejar, influir o ser influidos erróneamente.
Será deber de todo miembro de esta Iglesia defenderse a diario de toda sugestión mental agresiva, y no dejarse inducir a olvido o negligencia en cuanto a su deber para con Dios, para con su Guía y para con la humanidad. Por sus obras será juzgado, — y justificado o condenado.
